4.5 stars…or maybe not. (Something that rounds to 5 stars but isn't quite.)
I find it difficult to give this book 5 stars, because it's an ending. Through twelve books I've followed Margot Durand in her mysterious Virginia small town near Washington, DC, and… I find it difficult to say goodbye to her. I tend to like my series never-ending (which is funny, because I also tend to be a completist about wanting to read them all!). But, if you're going to end a series, this is the way to do it. The stakes were high with the arrest of her fiancé, and the case was difficult (especially without easy access to the "inside scoop"). And the wedding provided a perfect excuse for Danielle Collins to bring back many of the wonderful characters we had met over the course of the series, even those we met on Margot's travels, who wouldn't ordinarily be in town.
But mostly, I'm grateful that I've read these books. And sad that I won't get to read any more. But I will have to give more of Collins' books a try, because these twelve have been so enjoyable.

All Margot and Adam have left to do is get the final details squared away for their murder next week. But when Adam becomes the first and only suspect in a murder having to do with his work. This book is the last, at least for now, in the Margot Durand series so we get to learn a lot more of the secret trips to Washington that Adam makes and what he had been called to do. But will they be able to get married or will what looks like a very good frame-up be the undoing of Adam? Of course Margot has to get involved and call in all the help she can get both family and friends to unravel a very tight case against Adam. And will Margot survive herself when things start happening to her to try and make her stop investigating that could cause her demise as well. This is a very tightly woven mystery that keeps you guessing. Margot is a strong character and you get to love her throughout this series. I received and ARC but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Detective Adam Eastwood and Margot Durand are just two weeks short of their wedding day. Most of the plans are done, except who is going to make the wedding cake. Margot's friend , Rochelle can't do it she is in California. Maybe Dexter and Julia will make it. Margot doesn't want to have to make her own wedding cake. Then Detective Karlsson of the D.C. Police comes up to their table, they want to take Adam in for questioning on the murder of Sid Lawrence. Anthony is Adam's brother and works as a detective also in Washington D.C. Margot calls him to see if he knows anything about it. Adam tells Margot to go back home. What is going on here? How can this be so close to their wedding day? Who is framing Adam for murder and why? Can Margot and Anthony figure out the who and why? You will have to read the book to find out. I voluntarily read an ARC of this story.

12. Book 12 Murder and Matrimony
4 stars
I purchased a copy of the cozy mystery Murder and Matrimony in the Margot Durand Cozy Mystery Boxed Set: Books 1 – 12 by Danielle Collins and this review was given freely.
A fitting conclusion that is full of drama.
When Adam’s “Secret Life” threatens to change their wedding plans, Margot must rely on her friends for help to clear Adam, finish the wedding planning, and protect herself from the violent stalker who is trying to stop her before she stops him.
Two weeks before the wedding, Margot thinks her main stressor is the lack of a wedding cake until Adam is arrested for murder.
May be read as a standalone but is best if read in series order.

Oh no! Only two weeks until Adam and Margot’s wedding and Adam is brought in by Detective Karlsson with the D.C. Police for questioning in regards to a murder. Ut-oh, Margot is needed more than ever to solve this murder before the wedding has to be cancelled!
The Swede aka Karlsson turns out to be a bad man. Luckily Margot helps uncover the truth and Adam is freed! Just in time for the wedding of the year. I’m so happy. All is well with Adam and Margot. This 12 book series is complete. Boo.
Let’s see…what book shall I choose next…???
I know…”A Villa in Sicily: Olive Oil and Murder (A Cats and Dogs Cozy Mystery—Book 1)

Adam and Margot are to be married soon. She has been working on lots of details and he is taking care of his list. The only item Margot hasn’t been able to schedule is the wedding cake, her best friend from Maine will be on the West coast and there just isn’t a way for her to make it. Adam’s response to that admission is “It’s not a wedding if there’s no cake!” Which he immediately counters with, “As long as you and I are there and at the end of the day we are married it will be perfect.”
All is well until Adam is arrested and it looks like he may be in jail on their wedding day and everything starts to fall apart…

Though Margot normally works hard on the cases throughout the books in this series, it's nice to see her getting the full support of the police force. I enjoyed seeing Ben Jr. helping her throughout the book, however, you feel like he is always holding something back. He has become a very interesting and well-balanced character in the series. I think that due to the fact Margot is a little more interested in justice, she is willing to look the other way when either Ben or Dex are doing something that is not exactly legal.

I'm sad to see this series come to an end, but what an ending it was! After reading books 1-11, I've gotten to know all the characters and follow Margot and Adam's romance, and after reading this final book I will miss them! But, I've read several equally fantastic series by Ms. Collins, and I'm certain any series by this author will be equally as enjoyable. Actually, I'm in the process of reading two other current series and they are absolutely wonderful! So I just have to imagine that Margot and Adam will live their lives happily ever after!

I've been reading this series from the beginning and now I sadly must say goodbye. Ms. Collins is one of my favorite cozy mystery writers and this series has been one of my favorites. But boy is this a great ending, while Margot and Adam are planning their wedding Adam is arrested for murder. Margot must prove his innocence without Adams help. Will she? Guess you'll have to read the book to find out.
I received an advanced copy of this book and chose to give an honest review.

Will Margot and Adam finally get married? Is having dinner at a restraint in D.C. a criminal offense that you can get arrested for? Is Adam going to be at his own wedding, or will Margot hold the ceremony without him? So many questions. This is a fun series, and I hope this is not the last book. There are many twists and turns in this story. So many that you have a ton of details but nothing that sticks to the guilty party. If you enjoy a good cozy mystery, you will enjoy this book.

One small detail before the wedding, the cake, no one seems available to make. Her two assistant it seems will be the ones. Adam was a person of interest and was taken in for questioning because he knew Sid Lawrence now dead. Margot called his brother Anthony and he isn’t giving her the complete facts either. Finally telling her of work Adam was doing in DC,
that there was corruption within the police department. Would Adam be released from the murder charge in time for wedding. What will the cake be like. Great series, love that the characters are through out the series.

I cannot even imagine what Margot is feeling when her handsome fiance is arrested for murfer. Especially as their wedding is coming up fast. Can she solve this case and get him cleared in time for their special day? I loved reading about how her family, friends and community rally around her to help with the final wedding plans and clearing his name. I am hoping this isn't the last book written in this series. Absolutely loved it!

This last book in the series will really grab you. Margot and Adam are preparing for their wedding when he is arrested on a charge of murder!
Margot of course can not let that stand and she pulls in help from several friends
Will they make their wedding?
All the characters we have met before come together for this grand finale!

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book. We all know Adam couldn’t have done it, but proving it would take a crowd. It was good to see Margot get help from so many people. The who behind the crime was a bit obvious, but the catching of him was a great adventure. It was a nice ending to this series.

Awesome series!
I just got done finishing this series and I have got to say it has been a crazy ride! It is well written, not slow, and sufficiently interesting to keep me from doing my normal chores for the day. I just went from one right to another, could not get enough of Margot Durand!😁

This is Book 12 in the Margot Durand Cozy Mystery Boxed Set Books 1-12. The was a very good ending to the series because it had a lot more secrets uncovered and action while Margot and Adam are making final wedding plans and Adam gets arrested for something he didn't do. All the characters in the series get together in this last story to help Margot and Adam.

🎉❤️The Wedding❤️🎉
The last book of this series of mysteries is really a smashing treat. Adam is in jail charged with murder and Margot is absolutely going to find out the who, what, why and how of it and get him out in time for the wedding. Nothing stands in her way. Exciting! Frightening! But love (and good detective work) conquers all.

A Perfect Ending
This series is well written, well researched, and very entertaining without being too detailed in the parts that could be gruesome. The only problem is that it’s ended!! I definitely would love more episodes and will continue to look for more books by this author.

A fitting conclusion to a great series. Characters are well developed and engaged in good relationships. There are enough characters to be realistic, without being excessive. This final book has lots of twists and turns that balance the predictable aspects of a series. I am a bit sad to be leaving North Bank, but I am quite enjoying the thought of the wedding reception.

Murder And Matrimony, the last book in Danielle Collins' Margot Durand Mystery Series was a befitting send off to Margot and Adam! I am sad to see the series end - totally recommend cozy fans read the complete series.

Enjoyable mystery. We've had these characters through several books, and are quite glad to be at the wedding! But first, we have a murder to solve!! As usual, there are several twists in store before the wedding.!

Great mystery
I enjoyed the bravery of Margot and her skills to think outside the box, while solving her fiancé’s mystery. Well written and truly felt apart of the story. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

After reading all 12 books, I was disappointed how this last one ended.. it's like the story line for Detective Karlsson was cut short.. in favor of a romantic ending. It should have had a smack down ending...lol!

Of course Margot and Adam's wedding couldn't go off without a hitch. When things go awry, they go really awry. Such a great way to end their story. I will miss their adventures.

Great story.
It was a great story with an even than ending. It would have been better if it didn't have so many editing mistakes and syntax errors.
