A Joyfully Jay review.

Forlorn is the second in the Wavesongs series, which started with the book Astray. These really need to be read in order due to the complexity of the overall story. Forlorn takes up shortly after Astray ends and we find Nick struggling to recover after losing Christopher to his mutinous pirate crew. Nick’s desolation and grief are poignant and during the book’s early chapters, his sense of isolation is really well communicated. Tom is a bit of a fly by night and

This is the second book in the Wavesongs series. Please note that you have to read this series in order. It won't make any sense it you try to read it out of order, not to mention the endless spoilers. Nick is back in England after having lost Chris. He's devastated over losing the love of his life and penniless. He meets Tom, a very wealthy businessman who is obsessed with Nick. Nick soon begins

Elvira Bell lives in Sweden and spends most of her time writing, reading or watching movies. Her weaknesses include, but are not limited to: vintage jazz, musicals, kittens, oversized tea cups, men in suits, the 18th century, and anything sparkly.

Elvira writes m/m romance and has a penchant for historical settings. She adores all things gothic and will put her characters through hell from time to
