Amazing book if you like science fiction/adventure! There are 3 books in the series. It is a translation from Russian.

Read the Sinhalese translation many times, many years ago. Left such an imprint in my heart. it was a joy to find the English translation. Wasn't different from the Sinhala translation. I wonder how amazing the original must be.
I felt it then and I felt it now. I also felt how this story has become timeless. It was relevant in 1971 and relevant today. Nothing in this book has changed when compared with the reality and human nature. The only thing that is left for us to do is making a giant supernova out of earth. At this rate, it will also become a reality and the book will not be any different from the reality.
Fascinating to the end. It's a shame the next book cannot be found anywhere. Maybe they were never translated from Russian to other languages. In a way I like it. Keeps the question valid.
But what would they be like?

Quite eerie how the idiot politicians and army generals that destroyed Faena resemble the politicians of the 2020s! We definitely appear to be marching steadfast in the same direction!

Story is definitely amazing with lot of riddles. Although I believe the translation can be improved to make it more familiar to the reader.
