There is nothing unusual about guinea pig Harry Stevenson. He eats, he sleeps, and when sleeps he dreams about what he can eat. In fact his life pretty much revolves around food…and it is this love of food that is the cause of the many hilarious situations that Harry finds himself in. A sweet, funny, heartfelt story, perfect for children who are ready to start reading on their own. The illustrations are lovely and the stories are a good length, with two stories in this book, each divided into chapters. A great read.

A perfect chapter book introduction with plenty of charm and humour to make it an enjoyable shared read between adults and children. I loved the limited colour scheme and the vivid and lively illustrations and my (y2) daughter ate this book up - now she wants a Guinea pig.

Two joyously daft adventures for a plucky young guinea pig. You'll be amazed how Harry can run and run when he has to – and we only hope this series does, too. For the full review, please click on:-
