As a single parent of three, I have had an extraordinary life. But even so I’ve had my share of heartbreaks. And I’ve come to know people who have experienced extreme highs and lows in their lives as well. With their blessings, I have told their stories so as to give them comfort and help them to heal and move on.
I personally have always believed that no matter how tough

Raw and powerful emotions
There aren’t too many things that cause my emotions to bubble to the surface. Certain movies, a piece of music and these wonderful and courageous pieces of poetry that evoke feelings and memories which brought a lump to the throat and caused my eyes to well up.
Ilene Kaufmann has eloquently laid her life and inner feelings bare
with such simple yet powerful and beautiful poetry. Thank you Ilene for sharing your innermost thoughts and your life.
Five stars don’t seem enough

Ms Kaufmann has a Message.

One woman’s life in a volume. Kaufmann is an ambitious author. What she takes on is showing a woman’s life – any woman’s life in poetry. That includes misery, loneliness, heartbreak, abuse, as well as love, trust, childbirth, faith, and loss. A difficult task, but Kaufmann writes fervently and with deep conviction.

Beautifully written! Honestly one of my favorite poem books ever read. This book has a lot going on, from happy to angry to heartbreaking.. Every poem has it's own story behind it. This is a must read and I promise you will not regret it.
