This book is an indispensable resource on the 1915 Siege of Van, and I found it most helpful when writing my own historical fiction in that setting. There is no way you can read this book and still deny the Armenian genocide. Being public domain, I was able to find it online for free. It's a pity it isn't more widely read given that fact.

Very informative about the Armenian massacre in Turkey. Quite interesting to hear of all the missionaries who were there and the enclaves of foreigners that were in the East. Much more freedom to get about and share than there is now.
