Super useful!
Anyone trying to figure out what is CSS and how to use it: this is your book.
Even for trained developers is a useful reference book.
It covers the major topics in CSS (aka vanilla CSS). It covers even topics as Flex and CSS Grid.
The examples are super clear and easy to understand.
The illustrations accompanying the examples are a perfect pair to dissipate all doubts.
Totally recommended!

This book is an awesome read, for anyone who is learning or knows CSS. You can also use it as a reference after you're done reading it.

I loved the book! Clear and concise makes it an awesome book.

I like how the book is straight to the point. It makes it easier to find info that I'm looking for. In addition, I don't really like reading things that add unnecessary words that don't contribute to understanding the concepts. So no fluffs is a plus for me.

The book lives up to its name. There are a lot of diagrams and short descriptions that will aid in understanding CSS Concepts. This helps in visualizing how the CSS affects the appearance of an element in HTML. Moreover, by just glancing on the Diagrams, you can get an idea of how a property work. I also believed that learning CSS visually is beneficial since CSS is concerned with the appearance and/or style.

For overall it's really a good book to read if you want to learn css the right way but I’ve just one note about it I’d like to explain.
The book focus on some parts a lot and talk briefly about others and that is just not right. For example the 3d transform, the author talk about it briefly so I couldn’t understand it at all and forced to skip it. I know it’s a big subject but he could say that it out the scope of this book as he did in other subjects. Bottom line totally explain it or don’t talk about it.
Other than that the book is really good and I definitely recommend this book!

There is no other book I would recommend for beginners. As someone who really struggled with css and visual design when I started coding, I can really appreciate how this book could have been of great help then. I am still learning a lot of things from this book.
Greg introduces CSS concepts from a basic level to diving into Flex Box and CSS Grid. Visual learners will really love this book.

This book is exceptionally helpful, not only to someone who is a beginner at coding & designing but also to help intermediate or advanced developers to understand better some css concepts. It's a very well organized I was really liked how visual it is, with examples of each concept it teaches. Well put together and I truly think it's helped my learning.

Just read it!!

One of the best book I have read so far about CSS. It covers from very basics to very important topics.

The best part about this book is FLEX and GRID. These two are very complex topics in CSS and Greg explained it neatly.

I am impressed, time is of the essence when we code, Greg's style is easy to understand and apply. My favorite part is when he makes comments that are exactly what the rest of us are thinking. Hopefully, there is more to come from this author.
