If it wasn't 5, then it would be 4.5 because I was wanted more :)

The Palace Of Angels is a thrilling lovestory - and it's so much more than that.
There wasn't a single time where I knew what would come next. Having said that, I don't think I've read such a twisted love before.

There is something about Morsi's books that makes me stop. I don't know what it is but it's raw.
This is (imo) his best work.

The author is suggesting something here, it's provocative and courageous. Worthwhile.

Morsi starts by putting us smack in the middle of the outrage called Palestine.
Bethlehem Checkpoint 300, men queue during morning rush hour, Photo EAPPI/Elina 25-09-16

An outrage which the world wants to look away from, to forget. Leaving Naji Al Ali's boy Handala alone facing the giants which hate, greed, corruption and indifference have built up.
Amongst all this Morsi sets his Adnan on a journey to find his soul, his path, his life. What will he choose love or hate. It is easy for those of

Life has so much more potential for us humans. We spend most of it unconsciously sending all sorts of terrors and deluding images to our mind. It doesn't matter if we're dreaming, awake or insane. This human world of ours goes down to some dark caves beneath that strange home we call our consciousness. The Palace of Angels is based on a true. It's my hope that enemies can become friends, that walls can come down and that we are able to change the way we think, feel and act towards each other. It ...more

A burster of a story!
I didn't know what to expect, bought the book from the author's website as it was cheaper than Amazon. I have already read his two other much shorter novels, which were both pretty wild - and to begin with I only got them because I had them recommended on the site. So unknown author but the package arrived and well packaged I must say. No notes or anything, just the receipt which was good, as I was worried about there being a request for review (I've had that with some auth

On the isolated work, "The Palace of Angels" "As the days and hours pass by, I came to realise we can use, not only our minds but also our hearts, to think." Pg. 275
Whether Morsi is describing a violent or romantic scene, the author's gift of detailed narration is rich with stark imagery of intangible events, people, and emotions mirroring real eye-opening events of The Gaza Strip and its turmoil of war and what was once Palestine, a Palestine destroyed. Morsi is an excellent story-teller becaus

This is a book that hooks you in, despite yourself, drawing you in with beautiful language, beautiful strings of words, yet shocking you with brutal realities. Morsi's is a unique voice. I have never read anything quite like this. It is one of those books, like his others, which stays with you for a long time, forcing you to think, really think. It puts a face, a living, breathing face to a brother, a sister, a son, a daughter, mother, father, friend to our fellow human beings suffering and bein ...more

I first read this author's books after the last Margaret River writers festival. I bought two books the author signed and both books were brilliant. Actually I loved the first one the most because it was so intense, so 'real' in a way.
I saw on his website he had just released The Palace Of Angels so I went ahead and got that as well. Wasn't able to put it Down.
It's a love story but I don't think I've ever read such an unpredictable love story.
I don't know what I can write here without spoiling

Palace of angels, set in Palestine, focuses around the life of Adnan, a young Palestinian, living under Israeli occupation. The book immediately immerses you into the chaos and drama of the Palestine/ Israeli check-point perfectly setting the scene for the novel while showing the harsh reality of life there. This is a very well written book, a wonderful love story that also leaves you with a better understanding of life on both sides. In this third book in a series based in Palestine you see lov ...more

“The palace of angels”is the third book of the author I’ve read so far and every single time I start reading one of his story is like being catapulted into it and getting to know all the characters in depth.
Once again, the author has a unique way to describe details, it’s completely inspiring and insane how he put down words together mixing cruelty, sweetness, love, hope, anger...it’s always a great swirl of emotions.
The author always put all of us in front of the reality of life and he let us r
