Wonderful. In a world of controversy, name-calling, and the claiming God to one's side, Hooker acknowledges more of man's frailty, more of tradition's reliability, and the necessity of submission to authority. He also heavily influenced C.S. Lewis and, if I might wager a guess, was the reason why Lewis was committed to the Church of England.

Hooker's emphases on reason, tolerance and the value of tradition considerably influenced the development of Anglicanism.
