After all this time, I can’t escape the truth.

I want Dr. Lowe.

Lust chokes each moment we’re together. He promises to fulfill my fantasies—every dirty, naughty desire we can dream up.

Only, I can’t have him.

Nikki Sloane- aka Queen of Hot Times- has tried her hand at taboo book and fans will not be disappointed!

This is an age gap book between our heroine, Cassidy, and (GASP) her boyfriend's dad, Dr. Lowe (who I'm going to refer to as Dr. Daddy- side note, I love Cassidy's best friend!). I love the way these two bridge from their roles as Father/son's girlfriend (awkward) to two people who just connect, regardless of age. And the added taboo of how they met is hot!

Sloane brings the hot times in thi

wow it was hot 🥵

I saw ‘The Doctor’ recommended for those who love ‘Birthday Girl’ and I was excited to pick it up. Now don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed this one, but it’s for me personally it was wayyyy too much steam and not quite enough story. Still, if you like the taboo element and you don’t mind that, it could be the perfect for you!

Can someone explain to me why a girl almost 20 years old, has a curfew?

The movie stuff is adorable especially because it’s totally a dad type thing to do. That’s why I like age-gaps, I like when those years are glaringly obvious.

And I don’t care if scrubs are baggy. There’s just something about a man in scrubs that gets me every time. 🤤

And then doctor role play? Yes, please!

The dichotomy of her birthday night was out of this world. I never thought a man could give up all control and still be d

"Stop me," he said, making it clear this was my last chance.
I bit down on my bottom lip and gave the tiniest shake of my head.

all my negativity aside, cassidy and gregory were so fucking cute together i don't even care about the rest of it anymore. pls. the way they served the age-gap trope like no-one else?

—I tried to teach him how to use Snapchat. He told me the filters were stupid, so I put flowers in his hair and showed him how gorgeous he looked. He’d ripped the phone out of my hands, thre

The Doctor by Nikki Sloane
GENRE: Erotic Taboo Romance
NARRATION: First Person – Heroines POV
BOOK DETAILS: Nashville Neighborhood Book #1

Cassidy is home from college for the summer break, she’d planned on spending most of it with her boyfriend of three years Preston Lowe but after his lack of enthusiasm and support over the last few months she is deciding to call it quits.

This was such a fun and sweet ex-boyfriend's dad romance. Just like with The Pool Boy, I loved how sweet this romance was and how the characters just genuinely liked each other and wanted to be with each other. I didn't for a second doubt that they genuinely liked each other, both physically and emotionally, and I was rooting for their HEA. I will say, I did like how there was more of an external plot in The Pool Boy and this book really only focused on the taboo romance between Greg and Cassidy ...more

Sooo apparently I read this 3 years ago and just completely forgot. I did enjoy it more this second time around! It was exactly the smutty read I was in the mood for. There’s a huge age gap and she falls for her ex-boyfriend’s dad. Very reminiscent of Birthday Girl but still good!

The doctor is a fast paced, quick, sexy read that will have you cranking up the AC at warped speed! It was taboo, raunchy, and just enough erotic moments to make you gasp and give you that thrill of knowing you’re about to go into forbidden territory.

Have you ever had a fantasy that was so forbidden and dirty in your mind that you know for a fact that pigs will eventually fly before it comes true? We’ve all been there, thought that, and nineteen year old Cassidy is no different. Though the

Taboo, steamy, a bit of angst. Essentially a “my ex’s dad” trope, so you get the age gap and the secret forbidden aspect. It’s a good read if this is what you’re looking for. Not much else happens outside of the angst that comes with this trope and hot naughty bits. All in all a good read if you want quick and hot.

Zero plot, just a lot of sex all the time and a little boring after a while.

Reasons for my 1 star review (spoilers):

1.) A grown man fantasizing about a child in her prom dress and later having sex with a barely legal girl in said prom dress.
2.) A grown man fantasizing about having sex with his sons girlfriend in the same place they did and her returning that fantasy.

Gross premise for a book. Yuck.

I think this is one of those “it’s not you, it’s me” situations. I’ve tried this “boyfriend’s dad” trope a few times and I’ve yet to read one that works for me.

There’s something about a “man” willing to forever alienate his son for young p*ssy, that just never flies with me. These dudes scream midlife crisis and weak weak “man”. And the author can tell me over and over that he’s alpha, but I just see a head case narcissist desperately chasing his youth. Not hot. 🤷🏼‍♀️

on a serious note tho, i would like to submit a formal petition for a thorough vetting of unmoanable names from future smutty books before they make it out of drafts. no matter how much virility you administer into the name greg, my minds eye much to my chagrin without fail i will always picture a little teapot, short and stout (who will no doubt try to sign you up to a pyramid scheme) 🥴

“Tell me,” I asked eagerly, as he sucked on a sensitive spot below my ear, “what you want to do to me.” “You want to hear about my fantasies, Cassidy? Because there are a lot, and they are very, very bad.” Just like me.”

Just finished my first time re-reading this and I have a book hangover again. It’s definitely one of my all time favorites.

I loved this book but then again I’m a total sucker for a “my boyfriend’s dad” romance so this was right up my ally. They jumped into the relationship reall

WOW …. This book! So the story is very sexually driven, but it is NOT porn on paper. I swear, it felt like every other page I turned there was sex. Really good sex. Drawn out sex. Delicious sex. So much so that while reading this delicious little story, I PM’d a really good friend an update that went like this:
Update: the doctor by Nikki Sloane is one delicious #fuckfest

The sexual part of the story I think was done very well, but obviously,
Finally- I read a book with true doctor kink in it

I’ve been craving a Doctor kink book for months now. I’ve read a few books with a doctor H, but this one really brought in the Doctor kink, and more than once- chef’s kiss in the kinky doc department 👏🏻.

Cassidy is 19, almost 20, and has been in a relationship with her boyfriend for a few years now, but things have gone stale. They rarely see each other and don’t have a meaningful connection like they used to have. For a while now, Cassidy has b

the smut was worth the read but the plot was just awful. considering it was literally 80% smut and 20% plot. at this point it could’ve just been a book of smut with no plot. i mean, there was no point for cassidy and greg (GOD I HATE THIS NAME) to fall in love. plus i would cringe so much at parts of the book, i don’t know how cassidy kept her cool. cassidy did make me cringe though so it was a whole shit show of secondhand embarrassment i was getting while reading the book. do i recommend this ...more

This was my first...and NO I CANNOT BELIEVE IT by Nikki Sloane. I have several books on my TBR shelf but for one reason or another just haven't gotten to them. This story had so much more promise for me but fell a little short. It was a steamy read for sure but the story itself could have been....I don't know just more.

Cassidy and her boyfriend Preston have been together for three years but she's getting tired of the way he treats, he's basically just using her for sex at this poi

It feels like it's been a while since I've read a Nikki Sloane book but no worries by the end of chapter one, I was totally back acquainted with the way she writes and her snoking hot words. And what's even better is she's back with a forbidden romance that was crazy fucking hot, page turning breathless in moments, and so incredibly good, like captivated cover to cover kind of good.

He shouldn't want her. She definitely shouldn't be fantasizing about him. He's older, more experienced, and

I loved this! The beginning started out a bit awkward, but once it got going, holy moly, was it spicy! I didn’t realize until fairly recently how much I love the whole boyfriend’s dad trope, and this sure did deliver on that. If you were a fan of Your Dad Will Do by Katee Robert, then I HIGHLY recommend giving this one a try!
