One Wedding, Two Brides by Heidi Betts is the first book of the new contemporary romance Fairy Tale Brides series. I picked this one up because it’s no secret I’m a fan of the whole fake dating trope but I also found out rather quickly that this one was absolutely hilarious!

The book begins with Monica Blair busting into the reception of her ex-fiance Matt and his new bride. But not only has she crashed the party she’s done it after consuming a whole bottle of champagne and wearing her wedding

The summer weather is sweltering, the news more anxious by day. All I wanted was some sheer escapism, and this romance fit the bill.

The premise has been around for a while, and you pretty much have to accept it to get over the hump: what happens when our heroine (or our hero, or both) go to Las Vegas for whatever reason, get drunk, and wake up married to a total stranger.

Monica, our heroine, arrives in the first chapter drunk, wearing a wedding dress. She sashays into a Nevada wedding, clambers

I received One Wedding, Two Brides by Heidi Betts from Netgalley. This has no impact on my review, my thoughts are my own. I was in the mood for some wedding romance books and I was glad I heard about One Wedding, Two Brides by Heidi Betts through another blogger friend.

One Wedding, Two Brides by Heidi Betts was the first in her Fairy Tale Bride series. Monica Blair tries to crash her ex fiance's wedding reception due to circumstances that drove her to drink. The bride's brother ended up

The theme of marriage of convenient is a popular theme in romance novels, and I have my share reading those novels.
However, I do not found this book particularly hold my interest. It feels dragging and boring. There is no character development, no chemistry between the hero and the heroine.

The layer/ plot does not hold my interest that much. There is a lot of farm animals involved though.

What a fun read this is! I loved it. When a disgruntled and very drunk jilted bride disrupts her now ex fiance's wedding reception, it's up to the brides brother Ryder to toss her over his broad shoulder and haul her out of there before she can do any more damage. Dressed in her wedding gown, and completely toasted she comes up with a plan to get even with her ex, while helping Ryder out as well. All they have to do is get married. Ryder isn't too sure until she makes an offer he can't turn ...more

Loved this book! It is laugh out loud funny, emotional, and just plain entertaining. Nothing deep or angsty. Just lighthearted and filled with humor through witty banter and hilarious situations.

When Monica Blair reads about her fiance's upcoming nuptials to a woman who is not her she decides a little trip is in order. Showing up at his wedding in her own gown and more than slightly tipsy may not have been the best of plans but that's the least of her worries. The tall hunk of a cowboy who she

It's been a while since I've read a book by Heidi Betts so I was so glad when I saw that she had a new book out.

I didn't read the blurb because I knew since it was by her I was going to read it but you can sort of figure some of the plot by the title. I knew going in that there was going to some upset, a wedding, any more then one bride.

I thought...this is going to be fun!

And it was. I ended up really enjoying the

Monica was something she never thought she'd be...a jilted bride. And yet, when she wakes up, she's not alone and there's a ring on her finger, yeah, that finger. Her plan for revenge made complete sense then, but now, umm, she's having a hard time not ravishing her husband.

Ryder was positive he'd never walk down the aisle, but when a certain woman devises a plan to help his sister, he can't help but agree. It has everything to do with helping his sister though, not the woman with the frog

I really enjoyed reading this book. This is the first book that I’ve read from Heidi Betts and i found it hilarious, entertaining and just a great read. Monica might have crashed her ex-fiancés wedding with the idea to expose him as the cheating rat face that he is but Monica got more than she bargained for that night. She ended up with the husband and a life she never imagined. Ryder might not have willing agreed to marry Monica but with the promise of fifty thousand dollars he was more than ...more

I had the honor of reading this early and loved it! Monica and Ryder's story is laugh-out-loud wonderful with witty banter, heartfelt emotion, romance, and so much fun I had a smile on my face long after I finished reading it. Don't miss this charming romantic comedy!

Let me start out by saying I requested this book because it sounded interesting with a different trope/plot-line than what I normally read. When I first started reading, I had some concerns and if the general "likability" of either Ryder or Monica would be enough to overcome what issues I had with it. While I thought Monica was TSTL at the beginning, I liked her at the end. She had some good business ideas and the talent to

A cute a quirky story of a jilted bride, Monica Blair, who tracks down her groom. AT HIS WEDDING! TO ANOTHER WOMEN! There she meets the bride's brother,Ryder Nash , who she gets to help her try to pull off a scam to get back at the groom and recover money he stole from her!

This was a cute and different book from the "norm" that is out there. I thought it was cute and funny! I loved the city girl and the cowboy!

One Wedding Two Brides, kept me entertained and smiling throughout the whole story. I wasn't sure how this story was going to play out and I really like that. So we have Monica and Ryder getting together in the most unlikely way, and yet they really were great for each other. I like the chemistry and the friendship between these two and I was really hoping they would stay together. I loved the ending and I loved the

I loved the whole premise of this book. Monica wants to get revenge on her ex so she shows up at his wedding drunk. She gets dragged out by Ryder who she than marries in a drunken stooper. But as fate would have it she finds herself falling for the guy she married as a sham. This book was hilarious and a really sweet romance. I loved the idea of a fairy tale romance. A cowboy falling for a city girl. What could be a better romance? I liked the authors writing style. I have not read anything by ...more

I thought the cover on this book was so cute and fun, it really attracted me to want to pick up the book. This was an ok romance novel, it was a solid story and would make a good beach read. Ryder and Monica were both sweet and fun, they were super cute together. This was a fun and light-hearted read, just like the cover leads us to believe! There was a but

Monica is devastated when she opens her Chicago paper and reads a wedding announcement for her fiancé, Matt. But she’s not the bride in the announcement! She hops on a plane and while she knows that she won’t make it to stop the wedding, she knows that she has to do something to let Matt know that she found out about the deception. Monica went into the wedding reception that should have been hers and Matt- the rats. She was drunk but did make it to the platform where speeches had been given and she told the people there she was suppose to be the bride and that Matt had stolen all her money and then married the floozie- Josie- who was now Matt the rats new bride. Matts new brother in law Ryder literally put Monica over his shoulder and carried her out to his truck and took Monica from the reception. Monica is very drunk and ...more

This books has on page sex but only mild cussing (no f-bombs). While the sex isn't over-done and doesn't overshadow anything in this one, if open door sex will cause you to leave a bad review, you should skip this one.

The plot of this book is absurd and ridiculous, but instead of trying to pretend that it's totally normal and taking itself too seriously, this book luxuriates in it's absurdness in the best way possible. (That's a compliment, I swear.) The characters fully acknowledge how

This book was AWESOME!

On one side of the bed we have a Monica Blair, she was having the time of her life, preparing to get married to her boyfriend and soon to be partner when she opens up the newspaper to find the engagement announcement for her fiancé… with another woman. The next thing she knows it’s two days later after she read the paper, and she is now lying next to a blue-eyed, smooth-talking cowboy in the middle of nowhere and with two rings on her finger… what the hell…?

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I absolutely loved it. I honestly do not think that I have ever laughed so hard while reading a book like I did this one. Monica and Ryder had chemistry from the start. They were such different people with such different life styles. As I was reading I was never really sure where the story was going but I found it to be so funny and dramatic at times that I just could not put it down. This is the first book I’ve ever read by this author but it definitely won’t be the last one I can tell you. I absolutely loved it! Everything about it, from the characters to the storyline was so good that I couldn’t put it down. I seriously didn’t want to do anything that requires me to put down my iPad. This book had me from the very beginning and kept my attention throughout the entire story. That doesn’t always happen for me with new authors that’s why I will definitely be looking this ...more

Cute story about an unexpected marriage for convenience that starts off with an incredibly drunk bride and a sober groom who just needs a little help. I loved Monica's character, especially watching her adapt to live on the ranch when she's used to big city living. Her new found love of horses, and especially Rumpy, was touching.

My only complaint, the only reason I rated this three stars instead of four, was because there was far too much inner dialogue for my taste. Page after page of paragraph

This is the first of Heidi's books that I have read and likely will not be the last.

I love the jilted lover goes postal at the wedding and ends up married story. The Chicago gal on a ranch in Nevada is quite funny. The heat between this gal and said rancher is off the charts.

The story in between is well worth the read. It's got humor, heart, and a lot of heat but not so much heat that it detracts from the whole story. The fairytale start gets the fairytale ending.

Loved this book! It starts with a bang in the ultimate of wedding disruptions, then moves on to a quickie wedding and lots of fun/awkward situations. The author made me smile and laugh at some of the antics in this book, while also telling an entertaining tale.

This is the second book I've read by this author and she is quickly becoming a favorite. If you enjoy the genre, you will love this book. Put this one at the top of your TBR list.

This book started out with a bang. The way Monica started out was so heartbreaking so glad she found her prince in Ryder. What a ride this one was.

Sweet, silly and sexy this story hits all the right notes. Jilted bride, country mouse/city mouse fake husband and still there are surprises. I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic romp.
