This is about Princess Maeve who on the night prior to her celebration ends up being whisked away to safety by four Dragons, before she can be touched by darkness.

Without the immediate guidance of her mentor Tabitha, Maeve must now continue her magical training in faraway land and work on breaking the curses laid upon her and her Guardians - Trystan, Septimus, Gwayne and Caliban.

Stone and Fire is a wonderful first book to the Magical Kingdom series, and one I highly recommend.

I absolutely love

Wow! Marie is a wonderful storyteller! I absolutely loved this Fantasy RH it was a perfectly woven tale full of romance, Magic, mystery, and swoon worthy moments! It had bits and pieces of some fairy takes mixed in and I adored each and every character! I can’t wait to see what happens in Book 2!!
i don't know what to say about this.

i mean, it wasn't bad. it entertained me for a while and i quite liked the storyline, though i didn't really think of it as RH so much. i mean, i'm guessing that each book in the series swaps between Maeve and a different guy's POV, and this book had Trystan's POV, but for that reason it didn't feel much like RH. she only had sex with one guy throughout the entire book. still, for a free kindle book, it was pretty good. the characters were entertaining enough

It was okay, but that’s about all I can really say about it. Not particularly interested in checking out the next at this point, but not actively opposed either.

Good Start

This is a good start to this series and I'm definitely continuing on. I'm looking forward to seeing Marge grow and use her magic. I'm also looking forward to her getting closer to the other men, too.

I must admit, this was a pleasant surprise! (though tbh, I don't know why since I did read the sample chapter and then bought it :D but you know what I mean!)

World building was good, though at this moment I would say it was the weakest part of the book. We know a tiny bit about Caledonia, we know that the Fae were made to leave centuries ago to neighboring lands, but that's pretty much it, we don't really get a lay of the land.

I liked how Maeve was portrayed. Yes, she is a princess, but she didn

I LOVED THIS BOOK! when you have books about dragons, magic and kingdoms. So if you like those types of books with a reverse harem added then read this book.

Princess Maeve is born to a kingdom who has outlawed magic. However, she is studying about magic and is told to make sure that if she uses magic no one sees her do it. As she studies she knows that her magic is not strong enough to do anything big. She is preparing for the ball in her name but something goes down. This next thing Maeve knows

Are you a fan of fairy tales? Heroes? And Princesses who find their own inner strength? Also sexy times and lots of tension? Then this is the book you have been looking for.

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book and I devoured it in about 6 hours.

The main character (Maeve) is a princess of a kingdom which doesn't allow magic. The reasons for this are explained early on. The princess has magic but she can't use it. Bad things happen and she is taken to safety by 4 dragons. Then the fun b

The author balances sexy times with a fully fleshed-out (LOL), action packed adventure story. There’s some great sexual tension as well as suspense regarding curses and magical missions. There’s some really cool, scary ghost beasts. And the book seems to *magically* resolve in many ways and present new issues requiring a sequel at the same time.

Good start

Good start to the series. Lots of info. Maeve is an interesting character. So innocent in some things. But can hold her own when it comes down to it.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

What an incredible start to this new series! It is full of rich details, amazing characters, and a story that will keep you hooked as it navigates the surprises in store. I was hooked from the very first page as it all played out and each new part left me fascinated wondering what the author was going to come up with next. I can't wait for the next installment. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

I liked one of Marie Robinson's newer series, so I decided to go back and give this one a try. Maybe I just didn't follow correctly, but I ended the book majorly confused about a plot point that no one else seems to have a problem with:

(view spoiler)
I enjoyed this first book in a reverse harem (RH) fantasy series - it had magic, dragon shifters and brownies (I can't remember the last time I read a book with brownies so this was a nice surprise for this long-time fantasy reader). A majority of the book took place in a huge tower that the dragon heroes and brownies have lived in for centuries and this was a fun setting to imagine throughout the different scenes. Each of the four heroes are distinctive and attractive; so far I am partial to Se ...more

A Magical Princess Comes into Her Power

Princess Maeve of a mythical version of Caledonia is born with nascent magical powers thanks to her mother, but she cannot use them despite years of teaching in the arcane mysteries. Caledonia used to have Faeries but cast them out hundreds of years ago, giving Caledonia a dangerous relationship with magic. Children, generation after generation, no longer believe in magic; magic has slipped into the real of myth and fairytale in the minds of humans. But it

Unbelievable! Marie hits this first installment to what feels like a total block buster in all its wonder. If you're looking for an action packed, pulse pounding, heart racing, mind blowing, adrenaline rush. Congratulations my friends you've found it. Dragon shifters? Yes please!

I have eagerly waited for this book and when I was able to finally read it, I did so in about 5 hours. This is with life interruptions. I was hooked into this book from the start.

Dragon shifters are officially my new favorite thing and the way Marie has written this truly amazing story is beyond fantastic. Maeve and her men are beautifully written and delivered to you, along with a magical world filled with fun and laughter as well as some heartache and tragedy. All

A princess, four dragon-shifters, a curse (or maybe two?) and lots of magic...

Maeve is the princess of a kingdom where magic has been banned, and yet she posseses magic, which she can't control. When danger arises, she's whisked away to a tower where four dragons and other magical creatures reside. But Maeve is cursed and that's why she can't use her magic, while the dragons are in truth four men also cursed to take their human form for a few days a month. This was an amazing read by a new author to me. I will definitely be reading more books by her and I can’t wait for the second book of this series to come out.
“Stone and Fire” is a fantasy RH with dragons. Maeve is a princess who has magic, but it’s blocked, so she can’t access it. She’s sent to a tower to be protected by four dragons, but they’re not just dragons. During the full moons, they turn into men and she finds out they were cursed to be dragons. Now, Maeve has the problem of falling in

Stone and fire

I was pretty skeptical about this book at first. It seemed a little “old world” to me and I’m usually not a fan of those. However, after the third chapter I couldn’t put it down. Maeve is a naive princess who has magic but it is locked away, as she has been most of her life to hide her true nature. When her home is attacked she must flee and is aided by 4 dragons. She is forced to live in a tower, that is meant to be a safe house, with them. She quickly becomes friends with them an

What a great strong story. From the moment I started reading, I was drawn into the story. The emotions clearly felt. The uncertainty when she is taken out of the castle, the fear of everything new, the magic that was always forbidden and is now being embraced. Her budding feelings for the dragons, the build-up to the romance between her and Trystan. But also her realization that she has feelings for all dragons. The betrayal of her father, the dangerous mission they face and discovering the secr ...more

Flipped the Script

I've never read a reverse harem type book, but I have got to say this was pretty great. The H starts out timid but once she gets away from her own society's mandates becomes fierce as hell. There is depth to each of the supporting characters, a bit of humor done realistically enough. The magic was unique, the few R rated bits were hot but it didn't focus completely on the mind shattering orgasms to make up most of the story. Used more like decently added filler, but adding to t

“Stone and Fire” had me hooked from the first page. This paranormal storyline is well-written, the world-building is intriguing and the flow is perfectly and in keeping with the tale. Maeve is a wonderfully strong character that made you glad that you got to know her and the guys…..need I say hot, hot, hot!!! The smooth pace and flow of the story keeps you entertained and emotionally invested until the last page. I can’t wait to see what adventure is in store for us in the next book!

Ever wanted to be a princess, have dragons and an amazing man (or four)? Well now's your chance! This is the story of Maeve, a princess, saved by four dragon guardians.

There's magic, mystery, passion, action, humor and so more. The story is addictive and pulls the reader into this magical world.

Though this is part one of a four part series, it is it's own complete adventure. I loved the way the author unveiled the story, the descriptions of the characters, the dialogue and the tension. I can't

Princess Maeve is a princess with somewhat bound magical powers in a kingdom that has outlawed magic. On the night of her coming out, something bad happens and her teacher is revealed as a fairy godmother. She makes Maeve leave with four dragons. Trystan, Septimus, Gwayne and Caliban are now her protectors. They are also men who were cursed into dragons. Can the love between the four dragon/men and Maeve feel be anything? Can she defeat the evil Magi that is out to get her? Fun read

The storyline itself has potential, however the pacing of the story is off. It had a short prologue which was unnecessary. There are also a few chapters told from a different POV and I don't think it worked well. Mainly because there are four love interests, but we only get one of their POV which makes it obvious which one she is the most attracted to. This wastes so much potential for interactions between the others and that is part of the pacing issue.
Also, especially at the beginning, the mai

Mauve is your princess whose kingdom is under attack and then you're introduced to four dragons who keep her safe. The story is magical and made me feel as if I was right there with her and the dragons. I truly think my favorite part was getting to know the four dragons and I loved their descriptions of their characters. You really can't go wrong with this book. It's easy to read and the storyline will keep you guessing when you think you've got it all figured out.

First book in an adventurous and romantic story. One beautiful princess who is of course cursed. But this curse hide her magic from her. The evil that cursed her is unknown. And unraveling it may be the only way to reverse and save the kingdom. She will have the help of her godmother and four dragons. But there are quite a few twists to the story and even love to be found. Can’t wait for the next book to see where the love will go.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.

Good read

Started off a little slow for me but I am glad I stuck with it. The characters are all likeable but sometimes the story would bog down with boring stuff I didn't find was that important. I know this is a reverse harem and I hope we see the MC spend more time with the three other guys. This book seem to focus on just one of the guys. I will definitely be reading book two to see how the story continues.
