An awesome book about a little panda! A great gift to introduce pandas to kids, or anyone. Wonderful rhyming structure, and lovely pictures. Also, pandas are awesome!

Just like with author Abery’s other book, “Little Tiger,” perfect rhyme is used with great skill to make this a story that a child will love and want to have read time and again. Simple but not simplistic, the book shares an adventure that is thrilling but not scary because the parent is nearby, ready to help and give love. This is exactly the kind of storyline that is perfect for toddlers who need to explore but also need the reassurance that an adult will be there for them. The illustrations complement the text well, exuding joy and excitement.

This is the second in the Little Animals series from author Julie Abery. When Little Panda discovers a snowy day, there is lots of fun to be had...sliding, gliding, slipping gripping, and more. From one scene to another, Little Panda's day is filled with action - and young kids will definitely relate! But no matter where Little Panda goes or what trouble he gets into, Mama is always watching out for him.
A beautiful board book story filled with humor and heart and the comforting message that Mama will keep you safe, Little Panda is a perfect read aloud for the wee ones...but even their older siblings will enjoy the rhyming couplets and the fun filled activities in the snow.

Lyrical books for young readers are such a treasure. Little Panda uses rhyme and repetition to create a cozy story that will capture the attention of little ones. The pattern of the text creates a warm hug as the reader watches Little Panda and his mom. Lovely illustrations add to the story making it sure to be a favorite.

Pandas rollicking in the snow! What fun! Abery’s use of a simple rhyming text married to Mason’s eye-popping illustrations will be a sure hit with toddlers. And the lyrical use of action verbs works well....sliding, gliding, slipping gripping etc… Little Panda's day is filled with exciting things to do. And as a young child can relate to the antics of little panda, they can also relate to his mom, watching over him, no matter where he goes or what trouble he might get into. A perfect story to read on a snowy morning before Mom and little one venture out to a fun-filled day in the snow, just like Little Panda.

Little Panda enjoys his snowy day with gusto! He has so much fun, until he gets into a little trouble and Mama helps him out. The adorable illustrations, rhythm, and rhyme of this fun book will make it something that little ones and their caregivers will enjoy over and over again!

This book is sheer delight! Little panda has adventures in the snow winking/blinking, stumbling/ tumbling but when he gets in trouble, mama panda is there to help him out. A very nice read aloud with soothing rhymes for bedtime or anytime. Perfect for the 0-5 crowd. Wonderful illustrations as well.

Children will love this adorable, joyful character. Little Panda's snowy adventures are relatable, and oh so much fun. I love Julie's use of action words to draw the reader into the story in a sensory and experiential way. I highly recommend this book!

This is such a sweet story, especially when paired with Little Tiger (same author and illustrator). Both stories are written in rhythmic rhyme and tell the touching story of an adventurous cub’s day – as she explores the jungle around her, falls into a mishap, is patiently rescued by her loving mama – and then happily embarks on the next adventure. The cubs remind me of my own toddlers – exploring with wide-eyed enthusiasm, seeking the safety of mama, then regaining their confidence for the next game.
The illustrations for Little Tiger are bright and beautiful, while Little Panda boasts calming wintery hues. Both books’ illustrations are playful and show the carefree curiosity of the cubs and the loving joy their mothers take in their playful antics.

I loved this book. From an environmentalist POV, Julie nailed it. Young children and mammals alike must be able to discover their environment without mom butting in. Mom will always be near, observing and ready to protect her child in case of need. As parents, we must let our children explore even if they get into trouble or get dirty. It’s part of growing up. The rhythm and rhymes add charm to the books, and the illustrations are adorable. Same goes for Little Tiger.

Perfect pair to go with the book Little Tiger. This is a perfect little set of books to give as a gift to a toddler. Follow baby panda as he romps his way through the snowy landscape. The illustrations are adorable and the rhyming text is fun to read to your little one. So glad to have this in our library.

This is an extremely fun read aloud that readers will enjoy over and over again. In fact, you might even find a reader wishing they could have a baby panda, they get to know one and it's environment so well!
