Rate this book

Henry couldn't get over the fact that he had purchased Jenny's home! It was all there in her diary that he had just discovered the day before. How they had met in 1956 and instantly fell in love and the wonderful summer that followed, only to end when Jenny’s family moved away. Although separated for thirty-two years, their love was sustained by an angelic power that had never waned. If only he had known sooner that his teenage sweetheart was critically ill in the care home just miles away…the time they could have spent together!

Incredibly, Camilla, too, had just discovered the truth that Jenny is her birth mother and on her death bed in the care home that Henry is racing to! Fear grips Camilla at the thought of losing her mother again… will she ever find out if Henry is her birth father?

Even Father Engelmann had been astonished to learn that the Jenny he had been seeing in the care home for the past few months was the same young girl that had frequented his store so long ago – and Henry’s first love. He knew there was something special about Jenny Hamilton... but how could he possibly have known?

In his final act of love and in hope that the two lovers can finally realize their deep love for one another, Father Engelmann offers his life for Jenny's. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for a friend.

Will the Lord accept Father's plea to take his life for Jenny’s?

Can Camilla and Henry reach Jenny in time? And what of Jenny and her wish to her guardian angel to see her beloved Henry and Camilla before she dies?

Can her angel’s solicitude to God answer Jenny’s prayer?

I have completed five books in this series (thinking the series would be complete by now, as the author previously said it would be). Now the author has changed his mind and has decided to write a 6th book sometime in the future.

Talk about a long, drawn out story! I have to admit that I loved the first book, which only contained a little bit of religion in the story (I am not Catholic); but as the series continued, the religion and Bible quotes have become more and more frequent. I almost felt as though I was attending a sermon in church on several occasions, and found myself skipping several sections.

This book was totally unbelievable, and even though I believe in miracles and God; the story line became a little ridiculous. I almost quit reading the book at this point, but I persevered, and lo and behold the story still has not been "fulfilled" as per the title because I have to purchase a sixth book to find out the ending!

It is mentioned several times in the book that man should try to live a simpler life, with less materialism and become closer to God. I wonder if the author is doing this? I have a feeling he has made oodles of money for himself from these books. I wonder if he is donating his profits to the poor and under privileged?

I have to say I am a little disappointed and am not sure if I will read book six.

I have loved the whole series.

I started reading the Angelic Letters Series and could not put the books down. I love the characters and could not wait to find out what happens next. The best part of the whole series is how Mr. Kiplinger teaches us so many lessons from the Bible and how much we are all loved by our Heavenly Father. Thank you Henry K. Kiplinger.

Though there were some slow parts to this book it was really needed to have the reader understand the love that James and Jenny had for each other and also see that his heart that was changing for the better. Finally Jenny and Henry marries much to everyones delight and joy.

I found the first few chapters a little far fetched - - but then we got back into the story - and the insights shared and continuance of the saga made for enjoyable sharing of the life of the family we've grown to know and love. Well done, HKR - looking forward to "The House Where Angels Dwell" 2 more years? Whew!
