We crashed into each other like the moth and the flame.

For years, we've been best friends.
I told him all my secrets and I believed I knew his.
In camp, I thought he was the most beautiful boy in the world.
In high-school, I promised him my virginity.
On our first day of college I had three revelations:
He's a jerk.
He doesn't care.
I don't even know him.

I gotta admit, making these teasers was SUPER fun. I don't normally go for bright colors, but Delia brought out the artist in me.

Truly Yours breathes life into the term "second-chance romance". I'm not usually one for second chance romances for one of two reasons:

Someone was an idiot, which led to HUGE drama and it makes me want to scratch my eyes out.
When they say "second chance" they mean second chance at love in general, where I always believed it meant finding love with the a person for a

This is the first book that I have had the opportunity to read by this author and all though I struggled a little with it, I definitely want to read more of her work in the future. Truly Yours is only her second book and I feel that the more she continues to write the more she will grow as an author. She has great storytelling skills and knows how to grab the readers attention. She also knows how to take you on an emotional roller coaster ride. I will admit that I had to put my tablet down more ...more

Wow! What can I say about this book? These two met when they were 12 years old. Who meets their soulmate at twelve? Believe it or not - Oscar and Delia. But they didn't even know it. It started as a 12 year old crush between the boy with the fiery hair and the tadpole girl. But then it's time to go home. Delia and Os write to each other until one day he just stops writing.

College comes and these two (like soul mates tend to do) meet again. Oscar runs cold and hot. He is seriously one complicate

Wow. I mean really, just, wow. I can’t come up with a better word. Truly Yours starts out adorably sweet then grows right along with Delia and Oscar. With twists and secrets surrounding a kind of love that is once in a lifetime this book turned into a story that truly captivated me! I started this journey thinking one way and ended it completely turned around. Mia Miller certainly knows how to take a unique spin on one of my favorite genres and now I’m addicted to her writing.

"It felt like I tasted the wind and the sun and everything else Oscar was made of."

Truly Yours was my first book by Mia Miller and it turned out to be a nice and lovely read.
The story itself has so much potential, I wish Mia would have considered to deepen some things here and there.

"If whatever existed between us were a painting, I would have colored the air in a sharp, vibrant blue shade of forget-me-not."

A friendship born through suffering is that of beauty. Together they stand a unity of creativity, and passion.

This is only the beginning for Cordelia the girl of tadpoles and charcoal, and Oscar the boy with wild firey hair.

Music and Art bring them together, a picture, a song a true harmony of souls.

I devoured this book in one sitting. Unable to put it down. Absorbing every exchange between them until the present came into play.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is my second book by this author and is the first book in the Truly Us series. Oscar and Delia meet at a summer camp when they are twelve and become instant friends. Oscar plays the piano and Delia paints. On Oscar last day of camp Delia gives him her address to write to her so they can remain friends. Over several years the letters just stop. Then on her first day of college she sees her red headed friend again. They pick right back up w ...more

Truly Yours by Mia Miller is truly scrumptious!

I'll be honest with you, I get nervous when I read a new author, because you honestly never know what you are going to get. I was extremely pleased with what I found inside of Truly Yours!! I was hooked from the very beginning and I didn't see the ending coming!!

Delia and Oscar didn't have your traditional childhood romance, but the uniqueness I found in Truly Yours just delighted me. Texting is a very popular trope at the moment, and this story h

Truly Sweet and Surprising

I read a lot of romance novels, and most books don’t surprise me anymore. But this book did.

It kept me guessing until the end about how the loose ends would be tied up. Not in a mystery/suspense way. In a how-can-this-be-resolved? kind of way.

The romance in this novel is connected to the art scene in a profound and emotional way. And the love scenes are steamy!

This is a truly amazing book!

Delia and Oscar started their friendship when she stood up for him against bullies at the summer camp. After the camp they started exchanging letters for 4 years when one day Oscar just stopped responding. Now she sees him again at NYU where they are both freshmen, but Oscar is not the same boy she knew.

Oscar's behavior is seriously confusing. Yher's a mystery around him and so many unaswered questions, that I was kept interested from the first page till the

Truly Yours is a good read. Cordelia and Oscar meet at camp when they are younger. They write for bit and I enjoyed reading the letters. Oscar stops writing. I was really winder why he stopped writing and couldn't wait to read more to find out. Yup, I was totally hooked on this story when Oscar stopped writing, I didn't want to put it down after that. They cross paths again when they are in college. At first I wasn't a huge fan of college age Oscar but he won me over. There's a twist that's pret ...more

Truly yours is a beautiful story about relationships, between lovers and between family. It is a sweet and lovely love story with a little twist. Loved Oscar and Cordelia's chemistry and story. Oscar as a pianist and Delia as a painter are both relatable and loving characters with different personalities who are meant to be together. The first standalone in a new series by Mia Miller is a great introduction to the series and paves way for the books to follow. Can't wait for Enzo and Kayla's stor ...more

3 Wasn't What I Expected CROWNS

My biggest issue is not the story nor the blurb, but that the two didn't seem to match in any way.  This isn't necessarily a second chance romance. It isn't overly angsty. At the end of the novel, I wanted the story that matched the synopsis.

I found myself to be ambivalent about the characters. I didn't hate them or love them. They were not overly complex or three dimensional, and some of the behaviors from the hero are a bit extreme. Delia is likable enough, but h

A wonderful story that gave me the opportunity to travel from its inception, the time the main characters met as youngsters at summer camp, right through until their more was within their grasp and all the twists and turns that happened along the way.
I thought the start of the book was pitched perfectly, it was a sweet introduction that told the story of how Oscar and Delia first encountered each other and how it Delia that steps up when he was being bullied and from that simple act of

This story was a cute story about a boy and girl who fell in love at summer camp. They promised to write each other until the letters eventually stopped. Several years laters, they meet again at college. Except this time, Oscar is rude and dismissive of Delia.

Delia tries to distance herself, but Oscar is everywhere.

This is where the story kind of went off course for me. Oscar is hot and cold all the time. There is a reason, but even when that reason is explained, I still didn't get the distinct

This story was not what I was expecting! I thought it was great and I definitely didn’t see the twist. I thought the writing was fantastic. I love how the point of view and the time the story was taking place would change, I like the little glimpses of the past and how the characters evolved.

Delia is a unique person. She’s crazy into her art and it shows in her clothes, makeup, and personality. I love how she isn’t afraid to express herself. Oscar is, well Oscar. He’s a talente

Truly Yours is a second chance, college, romance novel by Mia Miller. It is the story of Delia and Oscar who meet at summer camp when they are twelve years old. The summer camp is geared towards children who are gifted in the arts; Mia is an artist/painter/sketcher and Oscar is a pianist/singer-song writer. They meet one day when Delia comes upon a bunch of guys who are throwing rocks at Oscar because he has flaming red hair. Delia picks up a rock and attempts to throw it at them, and she misses ...more

This story had a cute and sweet premise about a boy and girl who fell in love at summer camp. They promised to write letters to each other and did until the letters stopped altogether. Then we see the main couple meet up again at college. This is where we see the boy who is now a man treat the girl who is now a woman with such contempt and is dismissive of her. This is Oscar and Delia’s love story. I liked the start of the story but midway thru the story, the story seemed to just get confusing a ...more

Delia and Oscar meet at camp when they were young. They became the best of friends, shared all their thoughts, nothing held back, trusting friendship during the camp months. They part during goodbyes and promise to write and keep in touch. The letters come and go, they slack off then there is nothing. Through postage, they leave on a somewhat of a bad note. Years go by, they’re college age. They see each other again in college. Their reunion isn’t great. I can’t tell you further because it would ...more

“Coming full circle, 4 stars”

Before today I had never heard of Miller but when I saw the cover I was intrigued, then I read the blurb and I wanted to know more. So, I dove in and was presently surprised with what Miller was able to pull off for a new author, yes there were small things I the seasoned reader would want tweaked but nonetheless I was pretty surprised. I will keep an eye on Miller because I bet she will get better with time.

I really enjoyed this story!

A childhood friendship/crush that endures (although with some bumps) into adulthood.
Delia and Oscar meet at summer camp when they are twelve years old. They keep in touch for a few years via snail mail, but then all communication suddenly stops. They reconnect when they both enroll at NYU.

The road back to each other is bumpy with lots of twists and turns and a healthy dose of angst!

This is the first time I have read a book by this author and I have to say, it was a great unique concept that had me wondering what was going on for a few moments. When things are exposed, it was like it hit you and went OMFG! The bond that Oscar and Cordelia have is evident right from the start. Then comes the letters then heartbreak. When University starts, then comes the twists and turns that make your jaw drop. I think the one thing I really enjoyed about this book, is that while the twist ...more

I adored Love, On Hold, the authors debut novel. It was sweet, a little different, and it totally hooked me. So, when Truly Yours was announced I obviously jumped at the chance to dive into another of her books, especially one that looked like it would be more on the angsty side of things and while things started out on a good foot, it didn’t stay the course and I find that I didn’t love it as much as I was hoping I would.

Truly Yours by Mia Miller

A sweet story in regards to a second chance between Oscar and Cordelia. These two met one day at camp where Cordelia rescued Oscar from being teased by other boys. After a small moment of awkward moment, these two form a bond during the summer. As years past they kept in touch by writing letters to one another. Until the silence stretches too long and Cordelia still hasn't received one. After waiting and waiting, Cordelia believed its time to leave the past in the past.

Truly Yours follows the years-long story of Delia and Oscar. After meeting and connecting in summer camp, the two promise to write to keep in touch. But after a few years, Oscar stops writing and Delia is crushed. Fast forward a few years to when she is off to college, she learns Oscar is at the same school. That's when things turn a bit into crazy town and that Oscar has been keeping a secret.
