DNF at 12%. The blurb makes it sound like she's a strong independent woman but within a few minutes of meeting one of her mates she tells him all about her past except that she was (possibly, it kind of just skimmed over this) raped because she felt he "wouldn't respond well" to that information-no shit. After meeting the rest of the brothers and their father she passes out and they proceed to kidnap her. She wakes up and starts crying because she won't ever be able to get back to her old life. ...more

Man I tried. The feminist in me is screaming right now. I knew that this book was going to be meh when, on all of page 3, the narrator explained that the MC was immediately and inexplicably moved to jump a dude's bones. Page 3, ya'll. Now to be clear, I don't like it when an author drags it out ad nauseum, but come on... When little miss #ICanDoItMyself turns into a doormat in the space of 2.5 seconds... I'm done. I was actually starting to like the boys and the premise was interesting

With the explosion of the reverse harem genre, there has been plenty of hits and it’s changed my reading tastes. As a result it has allowed me to discover West and her witting through my love of this genre . It’s been a treat reading this book. I don’t know if I would have stumble on her writing otherwise given my tastes lately. Obviously West join the ranks of instant favourites I have discovered this year with Hungry for

Now that’s was one hot (batteries required) type of hot read.

Amara a lone wolf, or so she thought... well until destiny or in this case the ancients step in to change that...

Luc Thunderfoot has done it he found their mate, yep THEIR MATE, the challenge is for all four brothers Hakon, Drasko, Luc and Rone, each with their own unique personalities, strengths and flaws have to step up and claim Amara as their own!
Things don’t go as planned but any good relationships has it’s ups and downs.. pun i

An absolutely Furtastic Shifter Read!

Tara West is an Absolutely Wonderful Writer, But this is a new one to read from her!
Her first step into Shifter Heaven and OMG, she does it with a resounding Hurrah!!
I was totally immersed in this read, it was fantastic. The characters all had good and bad points about them, but I loved how each and every brother in each of these matches all had similar traits.
Alpha one Protector and Alpha two Protector, along with the Best Beta Tracker and the adorable Gamm

1.5-2 stars. Have you ever wanted to recommend a book to a friend not because it stole your breath with its beauty, broke your heart, or saved your soul.. but because it was so bad you think maybe you just read it wrong? Maybe you were in a mood? You just need a friend to cosign on how bad the book was to make you feel justified in your feelings? Yea me too...... This is that book for me folks. So yea friends.. ya'll give this a shot and tell me if maybe I just was in the wrong ballpark and was ...more

This book was so annoying. I am determined to pick a book and get thru it. Even if it kills me. All this girl did was cry, and cry and feel so bad and so hurt about everything. Sorry, but if you have the girl cry and quote it a million times!! I literally put this book down over 10 times. Not for me.

"“Relax, bros.” Luc chuckled. “I smelled her virginity.” Hakon, Drasko, and Rone heaved simultaneous groans of relief."

Going against the heroine's "No"/"Stop"? Check! (Edit: Not rape, talking about people making choices for her against her wishes. She has zero say.)
Stockholm syndrome? Check!
Virginity smelling? Check!

“I’m not having all those kids”

Don’t worry! You’re an independent woman, if you don’t want kids you don’t have to have them. Right…?

Apparently, Amara is not so much an independent woman as setback for gender equality. Every few pages I would growl at how frustrated these characters made me, but I kept reading because of some pointless hope that somebody would see sense.

Amara works at a vets and dreams of being a pet photographer. Okay, sure. Even though she can tell when an animal is ill

Fast paced medium to fast burn

This book moved quite quick and little to you know it you’re done with the first book. There’s a bit of denial, but it didn’t linger and everything else came fairly quickly. There’s a bit of rape intent, even if it didn’t happen, so if that’s a trigger for you, you’ve been warned.

Spoilers Ahead.

Disappointing to say the least. I had somewhat high expectations of this book, a strong willfull heroine and whatnot.

That is not what we got. While i get being drawn sexually and just overall drawn to someone, who's supposed to be your mate. I just couldn't get on whatever train to crazy town this was. We got an idea of an independent woman, she thought she was the only shifter left. Until she meets her mates. After that, she cries in over half the book, she tells her life story

Interesting storyline. I kept reading because I wanted to reach the end and find out where the story went. I wasn’t happy to see an abrupt ending but I wasn’t super surprised either.
What I absolutely hated was the heroine. She spent the ENTIRE book with her emotions ping ponging like a pinball machine. She made me forget she was a well educated, mature, adult woman because she acted like a petulant teenager. Everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING was her fault. Even things that happened bef

Trite and poorly written

It ticks off all of the boxes for annoying writing.... female protagonist who was once independent but now allowing herself to be dictated to. Telling the backstory in an info dump rather than showing, a complete lack of world building, two dimensional characters and insta-love rather than real relationships make a book I was hard pressed to finish. I don't feel the need to read anything else by this author.

Such a disappointment :(
I am usually a very committed person to series that don’t start the best but are said to get better, but I can’t …
I just can’t continue reading the series

Mixed feelings about the mc tho
Most mc are defiant, confident, aggressive, and etc. but this mc was a change
She was scared easily and didn’t put up much of a fight when she thought something was wrong and she cried way too much

Also I am so annoyed with the mc in books just going with everything and barely putting in an

Full of action (all kinds) tied up in an unusual mix of independence and dependence. Some would say that the female lead was giving up all of her freedom. I disagree. The men in her life were ultimately the ones giving up. There's always a lot of give and take in any relationship. Sometimes you just have to look a little closer to take in the nuances. I am not one who usually reads this kind of book. To be honest, I did skip to the dialogue a couple of times. I was just more interested in the co ...more

I loved this book! She has a unique set up for her RHs and it was a lot of fun. I personally loved Drasko the most. There was a great plot that kept the story moving quickly and made it exciting. I won’t add any kind of spoilers, but I highly recommend reading this!

WOW!! What a great book. I absolutely loved every minute of it and couldn't put it down. Tamara is a lone wolf who doesn't know any other shifters. She had a rough life growing up and learned to stand on her own feet. Now she meets her mates. Not 1 but 4. The adjustment has difficult times. Definitely felt the heat in this book. I loved it and look forward to the next book. ...more

This is an interesting way of doing a reverse harem as it states in the book that the packs all do it this way. It was not an abnormal way of living among the wolves being in a revers harem. I will say that the sex was too advanced for them all being virgins. Sometimes it felt more like a gang-bang and that I didn't like. Apart from some of the sex stuff I thought it was a good book. I think the author needs to be more mindful that she is saying that all the characters are virgins and the sex sh ...more
