All I can say is wow!
This novel was spectacular. A truly wonderful story.
I found myself smiling, then in tears several times throughout.
I loved watching John’s journey to faith, and absolutely fell in love with Catherine.
There was nothing about this novel i did not like.
Very well written and narrated.
The scripture references were great and fit in very well with the story.
All the characters in fact were amazing.
I am not sure what else to say, accept great job and I look forward to reading more w

Since this is my own book, I will not share a review. Instead, I will say that writing this book was an emotionally satisfying experience. The main characters, John and Catherine, have become dear friends to me in the last six months; and, I hope my readers will enjoy diving into their story as much as I enjoyed creating it.

As a side note, it has recently come to my attention that all of my beta-readers have recently embarked on their own new romantic journeys. So, maybe there is an unexpected s

I love new cover with the flames. The covers that I was given was boring. Sorry Michele! I was given this book free to review it p directly from the author. Thanks Michele! I am Christian, but I am not a fan of Christian romance. They are too mushy and gullible. I think they do not betray Christians right. This book/the author did it right. Thanks!

It was a little slow at first. I agree with Mandie, every bug should turn into a butterfly. I love butterflies. They are beautiful. I love when J
I'm not really sure what to think of this book. On the one hand, the spiritual aspect was great, with the gospel clearly presented and John's struggle to believe shown and a cool supernatural scene. On the other hand, there were some sensual things that seemed to go a bit too far or were a little too detailed. They also slept in the same bed and even though nothing happened, why put yourself in that situation? I was disappointed in Catherine for going along with some of this as she seemed to be ...more

This book was not what I expected, since it is a series called Out of Africa. There were mentions of Africa, but it was set in California. The cover really does not go with the story, and I know you aren’t supposed to choose a book by its cover, but I did.
The story starts with Catherine and John, neighbors in an apartment complex. They have a slow, sweet, awkward romance. Throughout the book there are snippets of the things that brought them to the place in life where they currently are. The bes

I received a free copy of this book to read and review: If you want to read a Christian inspirational story, which is authentic, raw, emotional, romantic, heartfelt, and deep all wrapped up in one, then this is an absolute must-read for you! I couldn't put it down!! Catherine and John are 4-dimensional characters who are relatable on many levels in areas of their faith-journey, their experiences, and their growth from having each other. Michele prefaces the story saying, "There are (also) scenes ...more
I was given this audiobook free directly from the author for an honest review.
I did not know the genre before hand. This book genre is Christian Romance was well written, not to much preaching and surprisingly a lot of intimacy.

It was a little slow at first. The book is funny at times I enjoyed the interaction with the kids. I love the main characters. I loved the narration. It was an interesting read. I enjoyed it.

There are very few books that have taken my soul to places like I have just experienced by reading Out of the Ashes. I’ve discovered a personal takeaway, more than one. I am reminded that forgiveness is one of God’s most precious gifts. I’m saddened a bit that you have to read the second book to find out the rest of Catherine and John’s story.

I was given an advance copy of this book for an honest review. What an incredible love story!! I was hooked from beginning to end. Two broken people, one who believes in God & the other not a believer, finding each other while helping their neighbors. This was book #1 in the series “Out of Africa”

Well written. Broken people like us all making their way through life with God.
The author captures the best and worst of the characters brilliantly

This book was well composed, very steady and had some extraordinary highlights that will make a reader go gaga for the material.

I observed this book to be moderately paced, however, I truly valued the manner by which it swung to develop into something delightful.

Catherine is my preferred character in this book. She displayed some gracious features that will make anybody fall in love with her. Her agonies and fears are things that got to me to such an extent. Regardless of whether those were some

This is not the genre I usually read but it was a good story that kept my attention. I liked how the author made the main characters come to life for the readers. This is the first book I have read by this author. The main characters faced real life situations. Overall the book had a great story line but it did however have some questionable language which is why I could inly give it a three star rating.

My name is Michele Pollock Dalton; and, I am an unapologetic romantic.

Although I have been writing since early childhood, I have only recently overcome my reticence about sharing the stories that I create.

Most days are spent wheeling around after a remarkable little boy that I love with all my heart. And, sometimes I put my domestic goddess skills to work, so we don't have to run around naked =)
