This was a nice story about two stepbrothers falling in love. The first kiss came out of nowhere, but after that first part I actually got into it and started to enjoy it more.

Asher and Colton are stepbrothers. Were stepbrothers actually since their parents are now divorced.

Colton has felt attracted to Asher for years, but never acted on it for a lot of reasons. One is that they were brothers. Not real brothers by blood, but he has always felt people wouldn’t understand that difference. And Colt

After the successful debut novel Big Mistake (Taboo Love #1), the author takes us in another taboo love story. This time is about a gay love but this isn’t so taboo nowadays, is it? Colton and Asher were once stepbrothers and this could be looked at controversial and a big barrier for any further possible intimate relationship. Colton’s father was married to Asher’s mother. Now, luckily for everyone, their parents are divorced.
Asher is a few years younger than Cole and little did they know that

They are both attracted but Colton is unsure while Asher knows exactly what he wants. There’s a side drama of bi-polar that I found interesting and Colton’s dad who’s a jerk. The ending is extremely satisfying and really sweet. I really enjoyed Step in Love and I look forward to reading more from this author!

This was a good short read. The thing is though it is not an erotic read. It is a book with depth to it and a serious subject matter that real life people have to deal with. One of the main characters has bi polar disorder. He has the ups and downs that someone with this disorder may have. For Colton(the main character), he lets his bi polar disorder almost ruin his chance at happiness. This is something that I have seen in real life. This disorder is not an easy illness to have to deal with. Wh ...more

I enjoyed this story and liked that they gave a glimpse of what a relationship can be life with someone who is bi-polar. As my spouse is it hits close to home for me, there are times that they can never think anything positive and it can be a struggle. Colton has worked hard to keep his hand off his step brother and when Asher starts to come onto him it sends him running. Asher knows what he wants and isn’t scare

Short, sweet read

I loved writing the cute relationship and how hard Asher planned to get Colton. Just so sweet! The funny parts made me laugh, but hopefully the issues Colton and Asher had to deal with together seemed serious enough to keep a good balance.

Lili Draguer is an author and fan of steamy romance. She writes for eXtasy Books. She loves watching romantic comedies, the sappier the better, snarky banter a definite plus. When she’s not running around after her three kids, opening doors for the cat overlord, or hanging out with the husband, she’s writing love stories that slip into the super sexy and forbidden. Her favorite thing to write is a ...more
