Vicious Snakes MC #2

Undeniably Yours

Rate this book
Five years ago I met a man who gave me a night I would never forget. Forgetting was impossible when I had a reminder of him running around my house every day. It wasn’t until I took a job in a different town that life gave us another chance. This time we weren’t going to screw it up. This time I knew his name and who he belonged to. Revenge threatens to tear us a part and I want to run away from everything that had become to mean so much to me. There was no question in his mind of who I belonged to. There’s nothing wrong with living in denial.

SPOILERS!!!!

I am not into MC romances at all and I should know better then to read one, so MY BAD!
I avoid them because they all tend to be too rough and/or crude and not really romantic. In almost all MC reads, the Heros always cheats & are Manhos.

So why did I read it? Now THAT is the big question! Maybe because it was about a second-chance story with a kid between the protagonists (my favorite) or maybe because after a week of Sponge Bob marathons with my kids, I was desperate for some adult escape. (Yeah, I'm going with that, so sue me!).

Anyhoo.... on the most part, as far as MC romances go, this was a relatively safe & low on angst, violence & drama. Hero & heroine met 5 years prior and had a one night stand. Neither exchanged names so when heroine finds herself pregnant a few weeks later, she tries to find Hero at the bar they had met but never does, so she raises her son alone with the support of her two over protective brothers. When she has to move because of a new job (she is a nurse), she finds a place across the street from the MC club in which Hero lives & works.

Hero works for/with his Father & brothers and he is a major Manho. He sleeps with all the MC whores & others outside it when he wants variety. In others words, he was not pining for heroine (shocker!)....
However all that changes when he sees heroine again and learns he has a kid. One minute he is reminiscing the night he had with heroine and saying how he would never forget her & would remember her if he saw her again, then next minute she is right in front of him and he is asking to see her tattoo in her butt to be sure its her! (yeah, that would do it for me too!).

And yes, he suddenly becomes Father of The Year and all about making her his Bitch (Oops, I mean his "Old Lady" 'cause that's what bikers call them people!).

There's a small section of drama in which a brother of someone that the MCs killed, comes back for revenge and kidnaps heroine & her son - and a bit angst when Hero accuses heroine of betraying him by leaking some info to the cops (She didn't. She was framed). Otherwise, there really wasn't much story - at all....

It took me 11 days to finish it because I was that bored so I don't remember if heroine was frozen (I think she said she slept with just 1 guy). And of course Hero slept with many. In fact, after learning he had a kid with heroine, he stated how he wasn't sure that he didn't have other kids somewhere. (Isn't he just drool worthy???).

So lesson for me here was AVOID MC romances!

Safety: No OW/OM drama. No sex scenes with OP.

This is my first book from this author and the blurb intrigued me enough to start with the second book in a series before reading the first. Unfortunately the writing style just didn't work for me and I couldn't connect with the story. I felt like we were only getting random scenes from these characters' lives and not the whole story. A lot of chapters would jump time and go forward a week or month and after several times it just got tiring to read.

Ok, I didn't read this. I don't know the author from Adam. But apparently I'm feeling ornery so I'm going to rant for a minute.

I checked out Undeniably Yours when it showed up on me feed due to a GR friend reading it. When I went to read the top reviews, the most popular ones were extremely negative due to the male MC sleeping with other women after his one night stand with the female MC. A one night stand in which neither adult bothered to get the other person's name.

Umm, hello?? First, both the adults engaged in a one night stand and did not exchange names. Not just the male. Was he supposed to stop having sex after that? Second, this is a motorcycle club story. And while I've only read a few of them, it doesn't take a genius to know part of the deal is the male character will be around many available women and is unlikely to be faithful to the female mc when there is NO relationship between them . So the female character didn't have sex during the separation... cause she had a kid. Is that the man's fault?

And writing a review trashing the book with the disclaimer that "you know you shouldn't have read a motorcycle club book because you know you don't like them" is not helpful or fair to the author. The disclaimer doesn't negate the poor rating. And if your negative review is going to end up on top due to a large following or other people misinterpreting and believing that cheating took place, that's even worse. If you knew you wouldn't like the genre, stay away.

Ok, /rant... Please go back to regularly scheduled programming.

Save your $

Ehhh...what do I say? It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. It was kinda cheesy. The writing was weird. I felt like I was reading a 9th graders short story with a little bit of sexy time thrown in. I think the storyline had the power to be a good book, the execution just wasn't there. A lot of repetitive statements are made by both main characters. The character development could of been so much better. Overall, I shoulda gone with my gut and saved the $2.99 I paid for it.

This was a great MC read. The story of what happens when you run into your baby daddy five years after your one night stand and he happens to be a sexy biker.

Damn it, after reading and really enjoying the first book I was looking forward to this one.. now the actual story I enjoyed, not as much as the first one but I did enjoy it,
but.. and this happens more than I like with series, I could have been reading about the first couple again, it’s all the same, there’s no real differences between all the characters in this series it seems, a lot of convenient situations happened in book one, and again we’re reading unrealistic scenarios here which had me rolling my eyes! That’s me done with this series

Five years ago Olivia had a no names required one night stand with Aiden "Steal". Aiden was in town for a run but never returned. That one night left a little boy and Olivia has been raising him for four years with the help of her brothers. Now she is moving to a different town for a job opportunity and finds Aiden again.

Aiden never forgot about Olivia, but he never expected the surprise of being a father. He wants to get to know his son and he wants a second chance with Olivia. What no one knows though is that a silent threat is looming and it could tear apart everything that they are building.

I liked this better then the first book. I thought that it was not quite a silly at times. Had a surprising twist that I thought was well handled. Great story, fun to read.

This was a slightly different take on the usual you'd find with this genre like an MC book that's not all about the violence, it's there but not central. Undeniably Yours was full of emotions and drama; a thrilling, intense ride. I really, really enjoyed it.

Mystery Dad

Book2 and another strand birth. This one a bit born from a one night stand that is Steele son. Another fun book with hot bikers, cute kids and a love that is worth fighting for.

Olivia has some brains and guts for not forgiving Aiden ‘Steal’ and the rest of the MC men, they had no faith or trust in her & purposely scared the crap outta her, but she also gave in too quickly (2 weeks of cold shoulder is nothing hunny) but do like she didn’t let it affect the relationship with/for her son!
But was good to move on from said drama too, loved the chipmunk 🐿️ comment 🤭🥡🥡🥡

AND was good to have a different villain/plot than the usual too!!

🍪Little kids are smart cookies:
“Mama always says that it’s better to show someone how sorry you are, and show them how much you love them, instead of just telling them.”💚

💟 Gotta admit, love how excited Derek ‘Prez’ is about GrandBabies 🍼

😶 I’m not sure what’s with the harsh comments about him “man-wh*ring” around for 5yrs and her not sleeping with anyone…. (1)they BOTH chose to have wicked sexcapades and not to get the others names & etc (2)he didn’t know about Hale -his son- or her being pregnant (3)she chose not to bother with sex during those years, I can totally understand not wanting all that drama and focusing on her son & living life!!

This is book 2 in the Viscous Snakes series and darling I had high hopes for it. I honestly thought this would be Stacey's story, but was surprised to find out it's actually Aiden "Steal"s story. Since learning this author's writing style and naughty level, I was anxious to get my hands on Undeniably Yours. It was just as good as the first, or dare I say, even better.

Story Line: Aiden is the son of the Viscous Snakes president. Which makes him Ella's (book 1) brother. 5 years ago he had a one night stand with a woman he couldn't get enough of (God, that's hot). However, when he woke up, she was gone. So life went on. Present day and Olivia (his one night stand) is back. She's moved across the street from his MC club house and she's not alone. She has her 4 year old son with her. Ah yes, the plot thickens. Olivia lets Aiden in and encourages a relationship with their son, which is amazing. I can't imagine how hard that was for her. I mean, raising her little boy all by herself and then a monkey wrench is thrown in and now she has to share him? I'm a helicopter parent. I have zero shame admitting that. So if I were in her shoes, I would definitely not be as easy going. I would be glued to my little boy's side, that's for sure. But Olivia taught me patience and I could totally see through her eyes this world so beautifully crafted by the author. I loved the twists, turns and the details that I surely did not see coming.

Interaction: Aiden is incredible. He lets the sexual chemistry build until these two crash into each other with some serious heat. But he is patient and understanding and takes to fatherhood like a fish to water. Missing the first 4 years of your child's life cannot be easy. I mean, just the thought of it has tears in my eyes. But this guy is a rockstar. There is nothing hotter than a good dad, and Olivia feels exactly how I do about that too. Because seeing her son and his dad bonding sets her heart on fire, in the best possible way.

Laundry: The first reunited laundry scene is probably my favorite. It's the can't keep my hands off you even if I had a gun to my head sort of urgency. It's messy, it's rushed and it's absolutely perfect. And as each laundry scene passes it become more and more clear that these two were destined to be together. It's like the big man upstairs had a plan all along. And even though that plan involved some slippery roads, it's perfect for Aiden and Olivia.

Depth: I refuse to give away anything here because I want you all to be just as shocked as I was. But there is a major, MAJOR plot twist in this book. I mean, talk about ripping the rug right out from underneath of you. Just when you think everything is rainbows and kittens...BAM! And as messed up as it sounds, I think that was my favorite part of this story. Don't get me wrong, Aiden is amazing. Olivia is perfect. But the twists and complete 180's the story takes? Oh yeah, so freaking good.

I loved this story. It was a different take on MC romance. I'm a sucker for a good MC and this book was no exception. The sense of family, devotion and absolute love is remarkable. Aiden, Olivia and their family gave me all the wonderful ooey, gooey feels my heart was begging for.

I thought this was pretty decent. I had no major problems with it and I'm fairly critical. We have a story of a one night stand produces a child with the heroine Olivia having no way to reach Aiden to tell him as she doesnt even know his name. So....clearly we have 2 people that mess around with others with no consequence so I am not a fan of those that gang up on Aiden because Olivia was that way too. They randomly meet again 5 years later. Things go well, I appreciate that they didnt jump into sleeping together. There are some outside sources that cause a major rift but I liked how the author addressed the groveling. Some of the writing style was a but juvenile and some depth coule have been added but all in all, a good read.

I fell in love with Aiden and Olivia from the very beginning. This secret baby romance kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time and at times I was cursing the author 😂 I cant wait to dive into book three and see what else Mallory Funk has in store for us with the Vicious Snakes!!

I had to DNF this one at just 20%. It was incredibly redundant and poorly written. It read very much like a fifteen year old girl wrote it, bad grammar and immaturity included.

Thankfully it was a KU read, or I would have been demanding a refund for this one.

Secret baby done right, with a side of MC

This is a new to me author, and you never really know what to expect when it’s a new author. I was not disappointed. This is book 2 in the series, but I did not feel lost. There were plenty of references to things I’m presuming happened in the first book, but it wasn’t as though I was missing pieces. While I love surprise or secret baby tropes, often they can be so frustrating. This one was perfect. No predictably ridiculous h that is hooking up with the H again while still hiding their child, and then acting all shocked and devastated when he finds out and is mad. 🙄🙄 No, this was a case of a one night stand with no names exchanged, and finding out too late that you have no way to find the other. A little serendipity brings them together unexpectedly five years later, and I love how his dad is the one to find out first. Also always love when the H is all-in and has to work to convince the h. ❤️

While this is an MC series, I’m going to say this was “MC-lite”. The men were all great, a little possessive alpha, there’s mention of club business and very briefly mention some of the women that “service” them (ahem… that’s for the censors) But the club had moved to legit businesses some time ago, and while there was mention of the conflict with another club from the first book’s storyline, it wasn’t an ongoing part of the story here (although the conflict is connected). Confusing I know- trying not to give all the spoilers. 😏. It was more focused on the MC family and relationships than gritty MC life. Like, you’d really be happy to be a part of this MC family.

The conflict causing bad-guy was a little predictable and easy to see coming, and she bordered on a little too oblivious, but it still kept me pulled in because even though the I knew the WHO, I didn’t know the WHY.

Overall an enjoyable easy read. I love their son Hale, and how he fit so perfectly into the MC family, and how welcoming the whole club was. No unnecessary drama or angst. No club girls causing drama just to cause drama. No club members going crazy or causing issues. It made it very easy to like the whole lot of them, and I look forward to following them in the books to come.

Olivia and Aiden

This series certainly keeps me on my toes and kept me so interested in the book. I am just loving this series and look forward to reading more from Mallory Funk.

It started off with two people meeting in a bar, wanting to itch a scratch. But five years later Olivia moves to another small town for a new job and the house she is renting is right next to the Vicious Snakes Club.
Her son is so much a fan of motor bikes so when she meets the President of the Club, he gets a shock when he sees her son. Turns out Aiden is the father, and loves getting to know his son.
However once more someone is targeting club members and this time Olivia is the target.

A really good story and worthwhile reading

Idk why there is no cover image on this page but the book was really good . Olivia has a one night stand to celebrate her graduation and leaves before he wakes up in the morning . Both decide not to give names or addresses and they used a hotel so once she left there was no way to find one another . Fast forward five years when Olivia moves to a new town with her 4 year old son . In that town the Vicious Snakes members reign . I love secret babies and the way Steal’s whole family took in Olivia was Hail was so sweet . This book was even better than the first . I am
very interested in seeing where this series goes .

This story had me laughing out loud at times and yelling at the characters at other times. This story had some steamy love scenes, some cuteness, a little risk, and lots of family. Aiden and Olivia meet again and fall in love. These two are good together. They hit some snags in the road, but do get their HEA. I loved little Hale. This was an enjoyable read. I enjoy immersing myself I to this world and all it’s characters. I cannot wait to see who is next!
I received an advanced copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

Love this series

This is the second book in the Vicious Snakes MC series by Mallory Funk that I've read and I'm really enjoying it so far. Mallory has a writing style that simply draws the reader in and leaves you wanting to know more. This book was Steal and Olivia's story that was five years in the making yet little did they know it at the time of their first encounter. Throw in a revenge plot , a gorgeous four year old boy and playful mc brothers and you've got yourself a really good book.

*WARNING* contains adult situations and cussing
Steal knew he wasn't ready for a women and kids d's. It was all good for Dame, but he was still living it up up with a room at the club and whatever female he wanted. Then his Dad and mom had to go say "hi" to the neighbor.
The morale of the story....a condom is NOT 100% protection and don't jump to conclusions.
This is a sweet, romantic story with badbutt bikers. This has all the feels of a romance and a little surprising plot twist towards the end.

Olivia's discovery

Olivia is celebrating by having a fling after having just graduated. She figures this is her last hoorah before accepting adulthood. They don't share much information about themselves, not even their names.

Aiden is smitten by Olivia. They share a great time but she is gone the next morning. Five years later their paths cross and there begins their lives together. There are hidden enemies. Olivia is even accused of betraying the club. Can she get over the hurt she feels at not being trusted by the people she saw as her family?

I enjoyed this read 📚!

Aiden & Olivia

From the minute I started reading Aiden "Steal" and Olivia's book I couldn't put it down. Steal finds himself in a situation similar to Damien, but this time he was a participant. I loved how they come together, but wanted to kick his and his brother's butts when he accused her of being out to get the club. Things go side ways for a bit, but everything works out and he is given the best news he's ever heard. Olivia is a great mom and perfect for Aiden. I can't wait to see which brother falls next.

The Vicious Snakes MC series keeps getting better. Next up: Ella's brother, Aiden (Steal) and his baby momma, Olivia. Again, Mallory Funk finds a creative way to introduce us to Olivia and Hale. I really enjoyed this MC story because it really is a family friendly group of bikers and their families. Aiden and Olivia are trying to make up for lost time and everything seems to be going fine until... Well, you're going to have to read the book. Enjoyable read!

Ok.....well I liked the story but the authors writing style was difficult to read. It was choppy in some parts and didn’t flow well. I’m not really a fan of books written in 3rd person POV. It doesn’t make it easy to connect to the characters. I felt like the author was writing this as a class assignment and was reading it to the class. I forced myself to finish the book. It wasn’t for me. Sorry.
