Great if you don't respect your female characters. Cheating.

I lost it when her "soulmate" made love to one of the other captives and made her watch and then join in. Yuck! Definitely not my thing

Oh, it pains me to write this review. 😖 I love Opal Carew so much, but Unwilling Mate just didn’t work for me. I’m especially bummed because I enjoyed the first book in this series, Forbidden Mate, so much.

Eva has been burned by love. Although she’s now divorced from her cheating ex-husband, she still doesn’t trust men and has sworn them off. When she wins a trip to a luxury resort, she can’t wait to get away from real life for a while. But at a resort party, she and a group of women are abducte

Eva thinks she’s won a much needed vacation, what she’s actually found is her soul-mate who just happens to be an alien.

The Commander’s Woman is Ms. Carew’s second entry into her Celestial Soul-Mates series. She does a good job introducing the premise to those who, like me, didn’t read the first book. In the beginning we meet the five women who will likely each have a story about them.

Eva is looking forward to a much needed vacation

Somehow this didn't live up to the promise in the first one.

I read the first one back in February 2009, published under Opal's other name, and did a quick re-read as it had been some time ago.

This one had a little too much angst and then a too quick about-face for my liking.

I'll still look out for other books by Opal/Elizabeth.

No plot or character development in this one either (I read #1 and #2 back to back) - but this time, I found myself actively disliking Eva, not to mention Crystal, who seemed more like a cartoon caricature than a character.

I didn't like Eva at all. She seemed very selfish and was just plain horrible.

There wasn't too much of a storyline but Eva annoyed me too much to care about the story anyway :-(
