The Daily Flame by Lissa Rankin is a book of 365 readings to inspire you.

First, let me thank NetGalley, the publisher Sounds True, and of course the author, for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

My Synopsis:
There are 365 “’letters of encouragement” from your inner self, designed to provide you empowerment when you need it most. These letters offer you guidance, from your own subconscious. You don’t have to read them in order. They are a reminder to yourself how great you are.

My Opinions:
This was not what I was expecting. I was looking for a daily meditation. I received….not sure, but I know I am disenchanted.

Every day your Inner Pilot Light sends you an inspiring letter. Who knew how annoying it can be to be called Lovely and Beloved and Dear. Instead of being inspired, I felt patronized and angry.

I read various pages over about a month, different days, different times of day, and in different moods. My opinion didn’t change. These readings just didn’t click with me. Maybe they will with you!

I love the imagery of the inner pilot light! In my own inner work over the years I equate The inner pilot light to my inner soul essence, or my inner wise one. I love that this is a book that I can pick up once a day in order to get in touch with my best and brightest self. It feels like having a nurturing mother by my side, telling me each day exactly what I need to hear. I also really appreciated the “voice” of the authors inner pilot light and how it was laced with humor throughout each letter. I found myself smiling and giggling many times as well as being deeply moved.

Thanks to NetGalley, the author and publisher for an advanced reading copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I've read and enjoyed all of Lissa Rankin's previous books. This is a lovely addition to her works that offers a daily dose of self-love, inspiration, and reminders for women to listen to their inner self. The letters are short, sweet, and thoughtful. Some offer insightful questions readers will want to use as journal prompts. Others encourage creativity, self-care, and digging deeper into who they are and what they want from life.

This isn't a how-to book, but rather an invitation to readers to settle in and explore who they truly are.

I recommend this book for anyone who wants to start or end their day with an uplifting message.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

After reading 10 to 15 entries I purchased the book. If you have a loud, constant personal critic in your head, and you'd rather have a kind, encouraging, loving friend in place of that then this book is for you.

Self-Talking and Self-Love inspirations are the main subject of the book. Lissa exposes the reader with 365 shorts texts using different perspectives such as a letter, a reflective text and others.

I this book was a great concept but I could only tolerate the first 88 days. This book assumes I am depressed, need to be talked out of bad situations and thoughts. I was looking for something more inspirational. I agree with another review which mentions feeling talked down too with all the dear, lovely, etc.
