I was very interested in this book because of its Anabaptist sources and because I am also an Anabaptist. But when I was reading it I kept wanting to re-write the prayers and make them contemporary and "better." That doesn't mean that they are of no value in this form. They are, and it's possible that some of the impact was lost in translation or the passage of time. But they seemed clumsy, weak, and not very focused.
