If you believe in second chances . . .

All I did was dance with her at a bar. Just once.
Then this undeniably gorgeous party girl, Stevie, turns up at my house, the contractor in charge of my remodel.
Ha!
How am I supposed to take her seriously?
The problem is she’s excellent at her job, which aggravates me even more.
She’s changing my house, changing my life, and my animal

My Review:

This atomically hot and lusty couple had amazing sexual endurance and supernatural stamina, I feel so clumsy and inadequate by comparison. For a middle-aged widower with a relatively sedate first marriage, Kane seemed to be making up for lost time as once he finally caved for his attraction to the feisty Stevie, they want at it like savages. They scorched the sheets w

Loved that the beautiful young woman who danced her way into Cade's arms, at the bar last night, turned out to be the new contractor on his house. Surprise! And poor Stevie really needs a break. Her sleazy ex-boyfriend treats her like a worthless slut and her father treats her like an irresponsible teenager instead of the competent woman that she is. And now Cade has a problem with their ages. He thinks she's too young for him, but Stevie is about to show him that is so not true! I usually have ...more

Book #2 in her Mistaken Identities series and again a real page turner. Rie Warren really knows how to spin the heat and the emotions. Stevie has been fighting to prove herself for some time. She chose to be part of the family business, a construction company, exceed at a predominately male profession and she is damn good at it. Kane, who lost his wife and the mother of their only child a couple years ago, is struggling to be the perfect dad for his daughter, taking on the role of both mother an ...more

Opposites attract. May/December. Silver Fox. This one is a perfect combination of my favorite romance tropes. It's packed full of crazy good chemistry, scorching heat, and so many hilarious situations. Kane is everything a silver fox should be. He's charismatic, sexy, determined to take care of those he cares about, and an absolute sweetheart with his daughter. Stevie is everything he doesn't think he should want, but exactly what he needs. I loved the fire between this pair, both in and out of ...more

Rie Warren is a master at mixing together fantastic humor and scorchingly hot romance absolutely seamlessly. Why Her is a non stop adventure of heat, hilarity, and swoon that I couldn’t put down for a second. From the first page to the last I was completely hooked on Kane and Stevie’s story. Between positively electric chemistry and quirky humor these two seemingly opposites were pure joy to read!
Stevie is tough, loud, and a total spitfire in comparison to Kane’s more reserved personality but t

(5 stars)

When Stevie went out with her best friend to a club, it was just to unwind and celebrate her break up. When she spots this hot silver fox across the way, her bestie pushes her into asking him to dance. With liquid courage, her bestie egging her on, she makes the trek over and asks him. One dance is all it took for her to feel the sparks, but one dance is all they get. Until the next day when Stevie shows up at a new clients house and Kane/silver fox opens the door. No

I love Rie reads, the men are always uber alpha and the woman are strong and ballsy.
Older man/younger woman read. Stevie hits on Kane in a bar, I love the way she brazenly went up to him. He was surprised, flattered and interested. Great chemistry you could feel off the pages. She’s the contractor in charge of his remodelling and he doesn’t want to want her. He’s conflicted because of her age, she’s because he is a widower. Watch out for the fireworks.

Why Her? The better question is Why not her?
I just loved these characters! Kane is an older single dad and a widower and Stevie is working in a mans world and is being stalked by an ex-Boyfriend. They have their differences and a few hurdles to cross, but once they give in to the smoking, hot chemistry pulling them together the pages lit on fire!
This book has all the making of a sweet love story and reminded me how much I love Rie Warren and the books she writes.

*I received an ARC of this book free from the author.*

Stevie liked to let a little steam off every once in a while, but heels and sexy outfits weren’t her normal garb…nope, that’s steel-toed boots and a hard hat. She loved being a contractor and her father is trusting her on her own, problem is she doesn’t want to mess up, but that seems a little hard to do when she sees who answers the doorbell.

“Not my business one way or the other. But if you are hot for Mr. Bishop, I completely understand why

OMG I seriously LOVED Why Her? so very much from beginning to end. Rie Warren has become on of my favorite go to authors, as all of her stories are original, and very addictive, so I'll NEVER get enough of her. This story starts out with Stevie have some fun shaking off her last relationship with her bestie in a bar, when she spies a hottie, so said bestie basically dares her to ask the silver fox to dance, and she does. They have so many sparks, it's a wonder that the bar doesn't go up in flame ...more

✯✯5 Silver Fox Stars!!!✯✯

This is the second book in the Mistaken Identities by Rie Warren. And, I liked it better then the first book.

Stevie finally breaks up with the latest loser. Her best friend drags her out for a night of fun. Stevie’s use to wearing her wolverine steel toe boots, her hard hat and tool belt. But, she does love her high heels.

While at the bar her eyes lock onto the hottest, sexiest silver fox she’s ever seen. With her friend pushing her Stevie goes and asks him to da

Ahhhhhh, Rie Warren has done it again!

I just love immersing myself into one of Ms. Warren's books, for a little while, they are the perfect escape from the real world. I love knowing I'm going to be entertained, I'm going to feel and I'm going to want to keep turning the page.

Why Her? is a lighter side of Ms. Warren. The story is at times sweet, at times emotional and at times a little dirty (it wouldn't be a Rie Warren novel if it wasn't).

Of all of Ms. Warren's novels I found Why Her? to be t

Oh my word, this book reminded me why I love Rie Warren’s books so much! The whole time I was reading it I kept thinking how similar it is to the Carolina Bad Boys series, not in content, but in the spirit of the books. Rie Warren writes characters that are fun, sexy and just a hair looney and they suck you into their lives! In Why Her?, you have a young, sexy woman, fresh off a bad breakup who’s out with her over the top friend. She sees Not-So-Silver-Fox and crazy friend goads her into asking ...more

Stevie was out dancing with her BFF after a bad breakup when she spots a hottie across the bar. She isn’t in the place to pick up guys right now, but Carmen (said BFF) convinces her to talk to him. Sparks fly, but Stevie runs away before it can go anywhere. She doesn’t expect to see him ever again, but the next morning when she knocks on the door of her next remodeling client, her hottie opens the door.

Kane is still recovering from the death of his wife two years ago. When he is out with some f

If you like age-gap romances, then you have to read the Mistaken Identities Series by Rie Warren. Why HER? is the second in the series, but each story is a standalone novel. The story of these two opposites kept me coming back for more and turning the page wanting to know what was going to happen.

I loved reading Why HER? so much that I already got Why HIM? so that I can read that book as well. Kane is a widower not really interested in moving on, until a sexy dance with a stranger at the club. T

I really enjoyed Kady and Jude. The dynamic st the start, how the story progressed, the drama that they go through..... it was a fun ride. Single mom books are some of my favorites and the 3 kids in this book had my stomach hurting from laughter. Amazing kids. I loved the link that these two had. It wasn’t anything special, but I couldn’t help but be really engrossed in the sex scenes. They didn’t have me skimming to get through them. I have to say I really wish there had been an epilogue. Stevie is in a club and after a lot of alcohol she is dared to ask “the silver fox”, Kane to dance, and that is all they have is the one dance. The next day Kane is shocked when Stevie shows up at his house as the contractor who is going to update the house he built for his late wife. The chemistry between these two is explosive and they certainly light up the sheets. No spoilers though; this is a must read, you will not be disappointed! Great storyline! Older man, younger woman, but written in a way that’s hot!!! Widower, Kane, meets Stevie, in a bar, when she gets up the nerve to ask the sexy, slightly silver fox to dance. Instant chemistry flares and they both kinda panic and back off without getting a name. I love the fact that Stevie is a strong, independent, female contractor who shows up at the silver fox’s house the next morning to start his remodel project.
The cast of supporting characters adds the right amount of fun

loved this book, but most of all I loved Stevie, she was the type of women I loved to read in books. The strong, sassy, I don't need a man to take care of me, type. Although Kane Bishop was definitely no slouch in the male department.
Great story of second chances for Kane and his daughter to both find someone after their tragic loss. Even better story of Stevie proving herself in a male dominated world. I love how Stevie stands up for herself, how confident she is in her capabilities. It's refr
