What a steamy and deliciously wicked 💜romance with a good plot and with an older (late thirties), intelligent and plucky heroine. I really enjoy a tale of a woman who's been done wrong and finally gets some payback. This story had that potential, but I felt the heroine was, in the end, a bit too accommodating to the key men in her life. The book's main strength was the sizzli

3.5 stars. This story started out with the stepbrother twist and her sick father summoning her to his "deathbed". However, the scheming of her father with her stepbrother is revealed pretty quickly, which works for me. Justine left because her father was trying to force her into a loveless marriage and refused to her a future at Jarreau Wineries. She left and pursued her dreams anyway.

Justine is now 38 years old. She is successful as a Controller, but dreams of being a CFO. She also lives a lone

As always Ms. Haynes has another intriguing and empowering story! Jastine is the woman who used to dream big but all her hopes and dreams were squashed by her father when she was a college student. After 17 years on her own she is successful emancipated woman who does not have trust in long term relationships because she doesn't believe that man can view her as an equal. Suddenly she is thrown in the situation where she has to come back home to face her past and her future. Lucas is a man who is ...more

I read the previous incarnation of this book a few years ago and remember thinking, "OMG this book's HOT. Justine and Lucas are so awesome together!" Now...I don't buy the HEA.

Justine & Lucas are in super insta-lust which somehow converts to love in the span of four days. 4 DAYS! Um, ok. They have one serious conversation in that time, and Lucas shuts it down before it gets too serious. They do have lots and lots of sex though, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I just wish they act

An exciting addition to the West Coast series (book #7). Justine Jarreau has her life all planned out, she will be the new CEO of Jarreau Wineries, a job she feels she has been groomed for and is her due. Before she takes over as CEO she engages in a one-night stand with super-hot Lucas. The night of sex and passion is all that she could want…until she discovers that Lucas is actually Lucas Falconer, the new CEO of Jarreau Wineries and her step brother. Her trust in Lucas is shattered as he tell ...more

I really need to read the first few book in this series.  They have you hooked from the very beginning and then keep you guessing until the end. In this story we see Justine fight for what she wants and never gives up until she hears about her father. Then there is Lucas, her newly stepbrother that she never knew anything about seduce her then bribe her into coming home. One thing leads to another and we see Lucas first admit that he's in love with her and he hopes she is as well. As we watch th ...more

This is the seventh book in the West Coast Novel Series. This was a great book with so much emotion and plenty of hot sex. Throw in a one night stand with 'no name' and her life was changed forever. Uncomplicated is what she wanted, but that's the opposite of what she got. "No name' turns out to be her stepbrother and the drama just begins. An estranged father, a family business, complications and more twists than a crooked river. Well written with complex, delightful characters and an entertain ...more

This steamy, almost insta-love starts out with a bang and just keeps building until the fireworks grand finale. Justine & Lucas' chemistry jumps off the page with a ton of heat. I loved this couple. Their hilarious banter and hate/hate relationship had me laughing-outloud. I was really rooting for them throughout the whole book. Haynes does a great job mixing animosity with....well you know :). Don't miss out on another entertaining , hot read from Jasmine Haynes. ...more

More Than A Night is a smoking hot enemies to lovers and step-brother story that I found enjoyable. I liked watching the main characters, Lucas and Justine navigate their way through manipulations, betrayal and their own issues as individuals as well as a couple. Even though it was short it didn't feel rushed or that it was lacking in anyway. I'd recommend it to those looking for a quick, hot read.

As always a hot steamy read!!! It's just a one night stand what can go wrong? But he's not just a one night stand and he was sent by her father. There is lots of emotions running around this book. Yes lots of hot sex too. A few twists and turns kept me from putting it down. ...more

bah. i found this book "ok'. story line = lame, hero/heroine = lame, and irritating, sex = ok, but often.

only recommend if you find a super cheap copy. otherwise, there's a million other books that would be better. easily.
Hot. Improved rating on reread. Love a groveling hero.
