Brett Rocha retired from pro-hockey while still at the top of his game. Co-owner of a chain of restaurants and an inherited ice skating academy, he seems to have it all. Despite his fame, wealth, and good fortune, though, Brett suddenly finds himself painfully alone.

Edge Jump is my first experience with the writing of Elizabeth Noble and I’ve got to say I’m impressed. She’s won me over with her soothing and elegant style, her creative characters, and the intriguing way she tells a story. There’s a nice little mystery here, but it is the lusciously dirty love affair that kept me on the “edge” of my seat.

There’s a unique plot in Edge Jump and I enjoyed the way it all plays out… despite being centered around the murder of a professional ice dancer and her fian

This one just wasn't for me. I was looking forward to this. I adore hockey/ice skating settings and this one has both plus BDSM!!!

In the end, the murder plot was ridiculous. The climactic ending to that part was even more ridiculous. Seriously. I still can't understand the motive because it's impossible to understand. Brett is weird about sleeping in bed with Rylan. Rylan basically takes one look at Brett and falls over on his back for him a few days after the murder of what is effectively thei
I really enjoyed this novel. It tells us a story of two men who come together in time of grief and struggle with their feelings to each other. It's very touching, sometimes romantic but very candid story of what happens behind the scenes in professional sports and what really happens after you quit it.

Brett is ex-professional hockey player who has left professional carrier and moved on with his life. He is successful, confident Dom with some close friends but no one to call his own as he is afr

Began to lose me at the beginning....

At 1% I'm being told he regularly plays with a married man at the local BDSM club.

At 2% I'm being told that, "Rylan never interested Brett beyond being Celia's skating partner."

I'm asking myself: Why would the author tell us that not only does this MC screw a married man several times a month, a man who manages his business,a man who he'd obviously know his wife. Then also tell us he has no interest in the other MC?!?! Does she want us to dis

I really liked this book from the very start. The premise was completely intriguing to me. This is a new author for me though so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect and I was happily surprised by how this book was written and ended up turning out.

I liked that we got an ice skater, Rylan, who was also submissive by nature and Brett, a dominant who plays hockey. Their lives meshed so well together right from the start. Between their obvious connection to skating as well as the chemistry in the sex

"Skating, performing, is all about being in control. I want that control in someone else's hand for the other parts of my life." ~Ryland

When his sister died, Brett had no other thought but to find out why. The mystery surrounding her death left a bitter taste in his mouth and he was determined to find answers. With her skating partner Rylan back in his life after years of being on the periphery, Brett's knew he was done for. There was just

The cover composition feels at odds with the story. It is supposed to be about a male figure skater / ice dancer and a male retired hockey player but the model (or models) on the cover is/are barefoot. I would expect him/them to wear skates, at the very least. The title really makes no sense to me regardless that somewhere, much further into the story, it's said that EDGE JU

This book was provided by the author via the M/M Romance Group and Don’t Buy My Love Program in exchange for an honest review.

I played myself by choosing to read this book. I half read the blurb and completely miss the part with BDSM theme will be explored. I've been reading mm mainly for the past 7 years. I sampled most genre throughout my reading history. I'm so past curiosity of BDSM theme in any literary form and know that it just does not work for me. I'm rarely interested in reading a boo

Edge Jump starts off with the death of Brett's sister, who is also Rylan's skating partner. The police are treating it as an attempted mugging. Brett wants answers, and hopes Rylan can provide at least some of them. When they meet up with each other again, neither of them wants to deny the attraction. Making their relationship work though, proves more difficult due to outside forces than either of them imagined.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and found it to be very well written. Rylan is new t

This novel is an emotional roller coaster that starts with a bang and doesn’t let up. The two men at its center face loss, a new relationship, mysterious threats to their life, and more upheaval than most people deal with in a whole lifetime. Brett, who used to play pro-hockey, is pretty settled in his career after retirement, but he is lonely. Rylan is a professional ice dancer who loses the partner he has skated with since they were six years old, and while he never imagined finding a partner ...more

DNF. Disliked Brett. There was something 'off' about him. Unimpressed with Ryland. He was a pushover.

The police investigation was a joke, even for a romance novel.

3,5 heart review by Roberta

I have to say that this book was pretty good. I enjoyed reading about a male ex-olympic figure skater /ice dancer and a former hockey player who’ve known each other for years, however, it’s not until now that they’ve truly gotten to know each other. I like that even though their relationship moved at insta-love…I didn’t feel that it was such a bad thing.

The story starts off really well done…I mean, the way that these two men come together after the death of Celia, Bret

Synopsis: Brett has just lost his sister to murder. He immediately flies to where the skating show that she was performing in is staying. Rylan, his sister's skating partner, doesn't really know what he'll do without Celia, since they have been skating together since they were very young. Both men are hurt at the sudden loss, and turn to each other. They also do a little detective work, and manage to start a

This story had me hooked from the first page until the last. The writing is captivating and had me turning the pages in record time. It was fun, sad, sexy, heartbreaking, thrilling, and uplifting. It all started very sadly with the death of Brett’s sister, Celia, and her fiancé, Clive. He has known Rylan, Celia’s ice dance partner, from a young age, but now he sees more than the little boy who has always been by Celia’s side.
What follows is a beautiful journey of two men grieving in their own w

But a senseless crime takes Celia away from both Brett and Rylan, and brings them both together at their darkest time. Then Rylan is hit with a far worse tragedy. Can they get through this, toge

Can we all just admit that the cover for Edge Jump is beautiful? Seriously, this is one stunning cover.

Ok, now for the story. Brett and Rylan have known each other for years, as Brett's sister, Celia, has been Rylan's skating partner since they were young. When Celia is killed, the two start to bond, through their mutual grief, as well as through some hot BDSM sex.

Brett introduces Rylan to the world of BDSM. which leads to some fantastic steamy scenes, as well as some heartfelt moments. Rylan

This is a 3.5 star read for me. In some ways I really enjoyed the characters. I thought the story was interesting and it had an intriguing mystery, but there were moments where I felt a little disconnected from the relationship. It felt like it went a bit fast without me really having the connection between them or the backstory to really understand how their relationship went from 0-100 in the span of 1 day, especially during such a traumatic time. Rylan and Brett have known each other for year ...more

This was my first time reading this author, and it won’t be the last. I really enjoyed the author’s style, it was very easy to read.

I loved the MCs, Brett and Rylan were both great characters and their chemistry was amazing. The D/s aspect worked so well for me, and was really hot. Nothing extreme, some impact play. There were certain aspects about them that left we scratching my head asking, “Why?”. Brett’s sleeping in the bed issue for example, but they were relatively minor. But o

Initially I wasn’t really happy about Brett’s reaction to his sister’s death. I mean he seemed to focus more on Rylan and the lifestyle rather than mourne and elaborate the loss. But slowly through the development of their relationship and their very private investigation on Celia’s death, I grew more and more affectionate to Brett. The BDSM aspect of the story is pretty light, and the descriptions are not very detailed, so if you do not enjoy books centered on BDSM relationships you should be f ...more

Brett and Rylan have known each other for years, since Rylan and Brett's sister Celia became skating partners as children. Now, Celia has been murdered, and Brett and Rylan immediately become dependent on each other to make it through this difficult time.
I have to admit, I never got a feeling of true devastation from either man over Celia's death. They seemed more focused on their budding sexual relationship. At first, I was put off by this and worried I wouldn't like the book, but things began

I love this story. Great storyline that had a little of everything: romance, drama, mystery, murder, and great kinky sex! Brett and Rylan come together after Celia's murder, Celia is Brett's sister and Rylan's ice dancing partner. They become very close as they grieve for Celia and try to unravel her murder and then another tragedy happens! I love watching them bond and seeing their relationship grow as Brett introduces Rylan to BDSM. Spectacular story that should not be missed.

A first by this author for me but definitely not the last. I had a few tears fall along with Brett and Rylan. The mystery did fall a bit short as for me, the person who did it was obvious. It did not detract from the story at all. The BDSM was written well, I really liked that they had equipment made so that Rylan could still have the playtime that he craved.
A must read for sure.

There's a lot going on in this book! An ice dancer, former pro hockey player, some BDSM and a whodunit all rolled into one. For the most part, that all worked for me.

I really liked Rylan as a character, and his and Brett's attraction to each other was pretty instant and obvious. Occasionally, I had a little bit of a hard time with Brett, mainly understanding some of his motivations. (Like ... *why* wouldn't he share a bed with Rylan? Even after intense BDSM and sex, he wouldn't.) Despit

This is the first book I have read by this author and I loved it. It is am/m contemporary romantic suspense with a hea ending and no cliffhanger. It has rather light BDSM aspects to it, nothing too over the top. Great chemistry between the two m/c. It has hockey (Brett) and Ice Dancing (Rylan). I enjoyed the fact that Brett was a Dom and Rylan as a submis
