I found "Bride To keep" to be such an enjoyable read.
I'm not usually a great fan of reverse harem often finding it hard to experience a major emotional connection between the players involved.
Not so here; this was such an intriguing addictive ride that I thought managed to portray the emotive element just so well.
The concept used throughout was so simple but brilliant allowing me to forge ahead through hidden avenues with each and every character invol

Ohhh this was good. I needed a genre change and this was ideal. It’s a naughty read and oh so good. I read three quarters of this last night. Then this morning I grabbed a coffee and my kindle and sat outside in the sun and finished it. Not sure if it was the sun or the book that got me all hot lol

Monet is an awesome character. I absolutely loved her. She’s leading a lonely life that is until she befriends a lovely girl called Alana. Their big obstacle is Alanas protective brothers. They will d

This book had three of my favorite things which drew me to read it. A) an amazing cover, B) a reverse harem novel and C) it was listed as dark romance fiction. First off, this has to be one of the most stunning covers I have seen in a while, I could stare at it all day. This book starts off in the US with the O'Shea Brothers burning down one of their arch-enemies Dallas Callaghan's house. Dallas is responsible for killing their parents. When then read as the O'Shea brothers talk about their sist

A deliciously dark ( but not too dark) menage romance!

4.25 stars!
Despite there being lots of things 'wrong' with this (including that it is barely grey never mind dark), overall I still enjoyed it

I signed up to blog review this AGES ago, well before the release date was postponed and I'm fairly certain it had a completely different blurb back then too. A blurb that didn't suggest this was a reverse harem, as I tend to avoid them. I also want to say that the current blurb is VERY misleading. The story I read really doesn't match, I'm surprised others haven't c

fire was the ultimate cleanser. Tremendous heat consumed all in its path— nature’s way of wiping the slate clean.
Fire is the foreplay and fire is the climax of this story, a lot of scorching-burning sex in between.
O'Shea brothers are being hunted and destroyed.
Yes, we were the O’Shea Brothers.
Irish blood.
Vengeful souls.
Killer hearts.

Oh my, when you take two talented authors like Alta Hensley and Maggie Ryan and team them up together as co-authors, buckle up and hold on for the ride. Together this dynamic duo penned an amazing, thrilling, emotional reverse harem story that will start in America and then cross the big pond to Ireland. The story is when Monet McKnight meets the O’Shea brothers. The story will go from strangers to enemies, to captors, and eventually

Wanton and wicked....

This is the raw and, at times, shocking, story of Monet a seller of magical remedies, hopes and dreams and four bad boy, Irish mobster brothers......

Having grown up in the world of organised crime the four O’Shea brothers are hell bent on revenge and in trying to protect their little sister, Alana, end up entangled with the defiant and mouthy Monet ...I do enjoy reading about heroines with some feistiness, and Monet is up there with the best of them..... I feel the authors c

Well, I'm as finished as I'm going to get. Not impressed with this book at all. The set up is even more contrived and unbelievable than usual for this sort of thing (no wonder most of the reverse harem stories have fantasy or sci-fi settings). Woman is kidnapped when 4 Irish mob brothers try to leave the mob and take their sister back to the family homestead in Ireland and sister needs a friend. There, she becomes chief cook and bottle washer for them all, cooking on a woodstove, doing laundry w ...more

Alta Hensley and Zoe Blake’s reverse harem romances were the first I have ever read – and with BRIDE TO KEEP, they surprised me. Because what I always complained about in previous stories was too little backstory, the characters too elusive to really connect with them – with this one, we get it all: a beautiful, slightly tragic, slightly dark albeit unrealistic storyline with multi-layered characters to easily fall for. It has all the emotions paired with all the overwhelming chemistry I’ve come ...more

4 Brothers Stars

Monet is running her shop that was left to her by her grandmother. A store where you can come and find herbs to soothe your ailments and a place to have good conversation with the ‘witch’.

O. M. F-ing G!!!! Alta Hensley and Maggie Ryan have written an intense and emotional dark reverse harem romance. Bride to Keep was not what I was expecting. I was prepared for the overwhelming sexual chemistry, but the emotionally and powerfully told story was more than I was ready for.

Whew… Get ready for a hot one….

Dirty taboo is right! These four brothers are dangerous with a capital D. Monet never stood a chance when they whisk her away and basically take her and her life over. At first, I was uneasy with where things were going until the brothers began to open up and you could see past their very dangerous exteriors to the loving men who adored their sister. And, soon, made room for her as well.

There is mafia, there is reverse harem. There is family bonding through tragedy

I enjoyed Bride to Keep but at the same time, it was a little hard to read. It is not a dark read in the "normal" sense but it is a little rapey at times. Even though Monet seems to be at the point of wanting the 4 brothers Cal, Derrick, Rogan, and Nolan she doesn't seem to have much of a choice since they have kidnapped her from her old life. So yes I enjoyed the story but I almost felt bad enjoying it. You know what I mean?

The brothers are good guys they are just misguided. They love family

This is such a hard review to write, so I'm going to list the pros and cons for you.
I never giveaway spoilers and I don't try and retell the story in my reviews, just my opinion.

Pros; very well written. This is probably the first time I have read a book without a typo, error, or mistake. That's amazing and a pleasure to read. It also, keeps your interest and has great characters with an HEA.

Cons; It is wholly unbelievable. There is no way that Monet, or any woman, for that matter who would be o

This book will take you on a roller coaster of emotions. Alana and Monet become friends and there is nothing that Alana's 4 brothers will not do for her to make her happy. There was a twist in this story that came out of left field. Will Monet be able to get her HEA. Will Alana truly be happy? Will the brothers be happy?

Monet McKnight is a young and independent woman. With the passing of her grandmother, she has no family left and nothing to her name but the shop left to her by her grandmother. It’s a quaint shop with tea, herbal remedies, lotions, crystals and a touch of magic and Monet uses her charms and personality to act the part of a modern day witch helping to make sales that keep her shop alive. She never suspected that befriending an innocent young woman would change her life forever.

If you like heat, then this is the book for you. Bride to Keep is a reverse harem story. This book is different than others reverse harem books I have read, which is a good thing. This book has action, but it also has a lot of heat. I enjoyed this book.
I liked the plot of this book. Dangerous men kidnap a woman for their own personal motivations. What I can say is those motivations will surprise you. I wasn’t expecting the reasoning behind their kidnapping of this woman. I can say it set of a ch

I’m grabbing my passport and heading to Ireland, I’m ready to find the O’Shea brothers!  Bride to Keep is not your typical reverse harem story and was completely enthralling from the first page to the last.   What more could a book need than four gorgeous Irish men and one American witch (herbalist). I’m not usually one that gets emotional with books but, at the end I almost teared up, and that is saying a lot.  Hensley’s writing was very well done, and this was a page turner with lots of naught ...more

Bride To Keep by Alta Hensley is a really smart story about the O'Shea brothers. A Irish crime family who at the end of their time in the life of a crime has decided to take their little sister to their homeland in Ireland. So she will not be lonely on the family farm, the brothers decide she needs a companion. In Bride to Keep we are introduced to four ruthless brothers.
They come from an Irish background and are a mafia family.
They are intense and so whatever needs to be done to get the job done and to keep their family safe.
When Monet comes onto their rader, destiny and lives are about to be forever changed.
I really liked each of the brothers. Each was intense in their own ways. Each was sweet as fit their characteristics. And each was fierce and loyal to one another,to their sister and to their loved

This is a reverse harem book with a difference and it works! I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It is very easy to read, fast paced, has a good plot, the characters are terrific and there is enough drama to make it exciting.

The characters are worth mentioning again, Monet in particular. She is such a feisty, determined woman and one very easy to like. She finds it hard to understand her attraction for all of the O'Shea brothers and that's fair enough too. Alana O'Shea is a sweetheart and a real ba

Bride to Keep defiantly threw me for a loop... a good loop at that! I thought this dark reverse harem would be filled with hot sexual pleasures (which it did!! ahm, the Woodshed!) and that would sum it up... NOPE! This novel had so much more to the story. Alta Hensley and Maggie Ryan filled these pages with emotion like you've never seen. Emotion that will tear at your heart strings by the end of this story in which you will use up half the tissue box.

A Bride to Keep
Alta Hensley and Maggie Ryan

What a great story and certainly not what I expected. This is a heartwarming, funny, sometimes sad story of 4 alpha brothers, Cal, Rogan, Nolan, Derrick and 2 women. One of which is Alana a sister and the other, Monet a fiesty, independent , pretend modern day witch and shop owner.

The O'Shea boys are Irish mob calling it quits in the business. They don’t like Monet interfering with their sister so they pay her a visit and the adventure begins ! Kidnappi

This book is classified as a dark, reverse harem romance. This book isn't dark at all, at least, it wasn't what I expected. It is also my first reverse harem romance, and I have to say, it's definitely not my cup of tea, though this books heat level is off the charts.

I also expected there to be an actual marriage to at least one of the guys, and we don't get that until the end. I was very disappointed. There really didn't seem to be any direction to the story, and nothing really happened until

Intense, dark and absolutely enthralling. I loved the way that the characters interacted and how full of fire Monet is and her strength as a character.

This was hot and full of darkness, sex and thrill. It had a little bit of everything to drive this story forward.

Monet's connection to the O'Shea brothers is brought on by strange and corrupt circumstances mixed in with an irrefutable attraction and the love for their sister Alana.

I loved every hot, dark and filthy minute of this, but it was mor

This book starts with a bit of tragedy in a way. The O'Shea's lost their parents, and that set off a chain of events that couldn't be stopped.
Monet, lost her grandma Gigi, and inherited her store which introduced her to the youngest O'Shea, and set her course even though she was not aware of it at the time.
This book have triggers for some people, it has some dark elements that some people might not agree with. But if they could get past these things, they will find a book that does have tragedy

Honestly I have no clue how Monet has stayed strong and handled the upheavel these 4 men put her through. To not only be kidnapped but also thrown into a "past" way of living would have thrown me for a downward spiral.

To fall in love with the 4 men after they show her who they really are at hard isn't so hard to believe. Their sister Alana seems to be the glue that put these 5 together and when the time comes for her to leave these 5 are so entrenched in each other that Monet can't even imagine
