A Dreamcatchers Tale

A love worth crossing the stars for.

Taka has been a dreamcatcher and part of Team 32 for over six decades, but nobody has tempted him like Ginger—a dancer at club Zee. Too bad dreamcatchers aren't allowed to have meaningful relationships with regular people. His willpower proves a finite resource, though, when a mission at the club means spending much m

This is the second book in the Dreamcatcher’s series and I to recommend you read the first to get a handle on the folklore and all the players involved. Okay? Right then. I am not going to hash over all the details from the first book and just dive right in because this book was good. Like Joey from Friends liking Rachel’s English trifle good.
My whole life had been a map to this moment. Every breath I had ever taken had been meant to steer me to this: to him in my arms.

‘Star-Crossed Lover’ is the second story set in the Dreamcatchers world, where evil creatures of various abilities launch brutal attacks on the life force of unsuspecting people. Several secret teams of fighters with a variety of abilities oppose them with the help of a range of sacred weapons originating with the ruling body of ancestors. Team 32 operates in Seattle and is at the center of the series, and it was good to see that Drew and Angelo are still doing well. The focus of this sequel is ...more

Star-Crossed Lover is the second book in the Dreamcatchers series and the twenty-fifth book in the Dreamspun Beyond series by Liv Olteano.

This is the first book that I’ve read by Liv Olteano, and it was okay. I liked the characters, but the plot was a little confusing and messy. And it might have been that I was just missing what had happened in the first book and some of the background details that might have been explained but a

Taka is a dreamcatcher and fierce warrior. Being a dreamcatcher gives you prolonged life but a lonely, long existence. You can't spend a lot of time in one place or with a human because it could attract the spaga (lifeforce draining creatures) to them. Taka has been checking out a bar with a male dancer for about a while because it sets on a series of lei Lines that were recently used by a powerful caster.
Ginger a dancer there has been trying his best to get Taka' attention yet Taka keeps turni

I've liked the sequel better than the first book. It has a better pacing, more gripping plot and tight action scenes.
It is a continuation of the first book and will be confusing as a stand-alone without prior knowledge of Dreamcatchers lore and how Team 32 operates and why.
I was rooting for Taka to get his mate to stop feeling so lonely and for Ginger to find his place on the Team. Their love progression made me happy.

I'm very excited about upcoming Claw's story since his mate is an enemy and a

These are hard reviews for me to write… when a story really impacts me – one way or the other – I have an easy time expressing how I feel about it. If I loved it – I have much to gush about. If I hated it – I have much to rant upon. But when I simply didn’t feel moved by it… I don’t have much to say.

The writing isn’t bad. The characters seemed ok, but I didn’t feel any connection with them. Some of this is definitely personal preference: I don’t like when the paranormal is “known” and I don’t li
