SQUEEE!!! I just read this book by a completely new-to-me author and IT WAS AMAZING!!!!! It was like pure old-school indie romance heaven! The hero is an ALPHA sheriff who is grouchy at times but also incredibly protective, possessive, and SWOOOOOONY! And the heroine is a SINGLE MOM of a gorgeous little daughter who move into his town to start their lives over. MY HEART WAS RACING for so much of the story!! I LOVED these characters. I CARED for them! The romance was HOT, the writing was STRONG, ...more

The Coppersmith Farmhouse is a book that has been recommended to me multiple times by many friends. I’m glad I made the time to read it. It was a great debut novel! It had a strong alpha male, a single mom, it was steamy, sweet, and had an element of suspense. I’ll definitely be reading more from this author!

Just as a side note, I wish I would have read the book instead of listening to it. There was so much ‘feedback’ in the audio, you could hear pages flipping, weird noise and squ

descriptionNot often you see a cover of a romance novel without a half naked man or woman on it! This is a pretty cover. It's a great representation of the story. It has great composition. Interesting typography and makes great use of graphics.description

descriptionI enjoyed this one. It was a super sweet read that had a KA vibe to it. It was well-written and nicely paced. It had some hot sex scenes. It had a bit of mystery (to be honest, I knew who the baddie was from the MINUTE the person was introduced...but no matter.) So

Re-read 2019 Loved it even more!! The audiobook was fantastic! I loved the narrators they really bring the story to life 💜

New town. New house. New Car. New life.

I loved everything about this story, you may say right book, right time. I have had this sitting on my kindle for ages and when I hit a book funk this week, I thought why not? Great decision!!!!

This book has reminded me of why I love to read! From 5%, I became hooked and my interest never stopped until the end! Some people may not like the amount of drama that went on; but I found it didn't bother me at all. It wasn't stupid, immature drama... it was stuff that would happen in the lives of a sheriff and a nurse!!!

This book takes place in a small Montana town... Georgia is given a farmhouse to live in by a good friend who recently passed away. She decides to take her little daughter and

Overall Opinion: This was an ok read. I thought it felt slow at times, but I never skimmed. I also didn't necessarily like either mc, so that was a big issue for me! I do agree with a GR friend that it had the same feel as a KA book, but it just didn't quite get there for me in meeting its potential. The h's daughter was cute, and her relationship with the H was fun to read. I also didn't necessarily mind the side characters, so I might give their book a chance...maybe. I didn't hate it,

A nice read. Bit predictable. Hero was a bit of an ass in the beginning ... and stayed that way for quite a lot of the book. Just could not accept her opinions or reasonings. Realised who the "bad guy" was early enough ... a little bit obvious, I thought.

Good for a debut novel. Will probably check out more if she continues the series.

The kid was cute enough.

Saw some reviews mentioned that she wrote a little like KA. Yes, I could see some similarities. That is probably why I one-c

Narrator Review: The narrator was excellent. Great voice and easily distinguished between the characters.

Story Review: Loved❤️loved❤️loved!

I love the caveman Alpha, but it sure is hard to find a book with one that doesn't have an over-the-top storyline right along with it. This was the perfect blend of a great story, strong, likeable heroine and my favorite type of alpha.

The best part is, he wasn't being a caveman just because he could. He had reason for taking charge, but he also showed growth

Audible Review: Narrated by Ava Erickson and Joe Arden

I absolutely loved the narration of this book! The voices were so clear and precise. I’m relatively new to audiobooks so it’s taking some time for my ear to adjust to listening. I had no trouble at all with this duo. Ava’s voice was just perfect for the character and Joe’s voice was mesmerizing. I will definitely be looking for more from these narrators!

First, let me say that this book was an accident. I didn’t intend to purchase it but while

A fabulous narration of a fantastic story...

****4.5 Stars****

I'm going to have to adjust my rating for The Coppersmith Farmhouse up to 4.5 stars. The initial read was a 4 star and the narration was a 5 star, so I'm rounding it in the middle. Ava Erickson and Joe Arden team up to bring this story to life for me. They were easy to listen to and adjusted well to the different characters and their personalities. I never struggled with following along and I always knew when the characters changed.

I tried. I really did. But I just couldn't... So many things about this book seemed off to me.

I'm sorry.

I absolutely loved The Coppersmith Farmhouse and I have found a new favourite author in Devney Perry. I loved her writing style and the fact that she does not go overboard with details like describing what every single room looks like down to all the nic nacs or what every single item of clothing looks like as I find this can get repetitive with some authors (naming no-one). I also loved that even though this is told mostly from Gigi’s POV we get some insight into

This book was beyond terrible. It was the worst.

Just to say, yes, I should have DNFd this book because I hated it all. But I didn’t, so…

Please stop comparing this book to a Kristen Ashley book. It is beyond offensive. This isn’t even a rip-off, this is nothing at all like a Kristen Ashley book even though I think the Author wanted it to be. But even more, I feel like there might have been a dig to KA in there somewhere so maybe the Author wasn’t going for that vibe? Either way, this book was one

I very much enjoyed this story set in the small town of Prescott, Montana.

The writing was great and the story line solid. The hero was a bit too pushy or alpha for my tastes yet it worked. I'm definitely looking forward to reading the rest of the series!
Bookphenomena (Micky)
I did not gel with this book on the whole in any shape or form. I wanted to like it, indeed until 25% I held hope that my issues would be worked through. By 50% I realised that this was a hero that I could only hate, he could not be redeemed in my eyes in any way. He was manipulative, cunning, controlling, had temper issues that were scary and I didnt believe his connection with the heroine. The heroine gave off vibes of not being okay with his controlling ways but was always won over by a kiss ...more

Alert!!! Up and coming brand new author! Prepare to be amazed and to swoon over sheriff Cleary.

If you read:

“I opened my mouth to ask what was going on but the words got stuck in the back of my throat. My brain short-circuited. All of my attention was focused on the man standing right in front of me. Seated on my stool, I had to tip my head way back to examine his face. I blinked a few times because this man was so ruggedly handsome I had to be imagining him. (…)

I absolutely loved this book! It had romance and steam with a side of suspence to keep things interesting. I read it on one sitting!

Jess and GiGi's were great characters-

Jess was alpha to the max. He started out as a major jerk. He made assumptions about the heroine that simply were not true. It didn't take him long to figure out he was wrong and he immediately set out to make things right. His alpha tendencies were OTT but I personally like those caveman antics. He was a take charge kind of gu

DNF @ 30%

The hero is a total jerk to the heroine in the beginning, then decides his reason for disliking her is wrong so now he's going to act like a caveman. The heroine is all bluster, trying to stand up to the hero who was a complete jerk to her, but because he's sexy her hormones seems to excuse his behavior and she'll just fall at his feet *eye roll*.

Book one in the series gives us single mom Georgia (aka Gigi), who with her cute little girl has come to start over in a small Montana town, having inherited a lovely farmhouse from Ben a dear friend that recently died. She quickly meets the town’s Sheriff Jess, and to day their first meeting doesn’t go well would be no understatement. Jess is a serious ass; the dislike Gigi feels for him is so understandable. Once Jess realises what unjustifiable douche he was, he completely reverses h

I think this book was a great start to a series. I have seen so many reviews of this series come by lately, so of course I had to give it a go myself. I am glad I did, because it was a very nice read ;)

What pulled me in most though, was not so much the story, but the writing style. It was very pleasant, and even though there were parts that made me roll my eyes a bit, I could not stop reading. For me that's a sign to keep my eye on this author !

Where to start!! I liked it but didn't love it. This book should have been perfect for me. An OTT possessive alpha paired with a nice and occasionally sassy h, mix in an adorable kid, and this book should have been a big LOVE for me. But something about it didn't totally pull me in. It had a KA vibe to it and I love KA. I'm guessing this is a "me" thing as a lot of my friends really liked this one.

Lots of hype on social media regarding this new debut by Devney Perry. There has also been mention that Perry’s writing voice is comparable to Kristen Ashley’s. In general, maybe so, but on the whole, not in my opinion. I found it a bit softer with less of the grab factor. (Note: I run hot or cold on Ashley's books, so this was not a significant point in my decision to read this one.)

If you’re a big fan of small town sexy romances that includes an alpha know-it-all hero and a woman who has expe

I could't miss out reading this book. Starting over. Montana. Ruggedly Hunky sheriff. Hunky sheriff with an ATTITUDE. This author is new to me. My friend Chele and lots of others gave this book high marks.

I LOVED this book! Gigi is a single mom who works hard as a nurse and raising her four year old daughter. She decides to move with her daughter to the farmhouse and start a new life. She loves the farmhouse and the small town but has one problem, Jess, the sheriff who isn't very nice to her. Picking up a Devney book, you're guaranteed all the good feels, small town charm and grassroots earthiness. They're Soft & romantic, their fragrance lingering long after you've closed the book. On a binge read spree of her back list books, I dived headfirst into Coppersmith Farmhouse and
fell head over heels in love with straight as an arrow, and just as sharp sheriff Jess Cleary.

Because this book..the feels and the chemistry and the mystery came together in a pretty red bow and IT WORKED..

The author made old fashioned writing like this, seem so easy..when it really wasn't.
