I love Katie Ruggle. I was over the moon for her Search and Rescue series. So when I seen In Her Sights on Netgalley and seen it was a start of a new series I was so excited, but this book was such a let down for me. It took me over two weeks to get this book read. I was so bored I kept putting it down and would try again a few days later and get bored within 10 mins of restarting. Top that off with the fact that there was not much romance to speak of and this book

In Her Sights by Katie Ruggle

Fantastic series starter. Romantic suspense with a family of female bounty hunters.
Lots of fun humor and a hero that is simply swoon worthy for his comments and actions.
Not everything is wrapped up at the end beyond the specific romance between Molly and John.

Don’t read the epilogue if you hate cliffhangers.

Thanks to @Sourcebooks for the paperback ARC.
Molly is the oldest and has been like a mother to her sisters, since their own mother, Jane, is a very selfish, flighty woman. Jane is something else and she causes a lot of trouble, she ticked me right off! Jane puts the family home up as collateral when she needs to make bail, the home that Molly and her sisters paid off after Jane just about drained it dry with a reverse mortgage. So, yeah, she’s a real winner of a mom.

Now Molly is saddled with locating her mom, and at the mercy of a shady b

I’ve not read anything by this author before, so I was pleased to be able to jump into a new series. The Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters are a group of five sisters, the eldest of whom, Molly, has been as much of a mother as a sister to her siblings owing to the irresponsible nature of their actual mother, Jane. All the sisters work as bail enforcement agents – bounty hunters – and In Her Sights opens as Molly Pax – the eldest – is interrupted in her surveillance of her current target by the u ...more
As the caretaker of a dysfunctional family, Molly Pax handles it all: her sisters, the her manipulative mother and the very annoying (but hot) John Carmondy who can’t seem to leave her alone even though they’re both career-rivals.

I didn’t know what to expect from Katie Ruggle’s new series—my experience with Ruggles’s writing has been varied—but bounty hunting sisters finding their HEA sounded like a unique-enough premise to branch out from her Rocky Mountain books.

So I'm a huge fan of this authors work and couldn't wait to dive into this the first book about a family of bounty hunters. Molly is the eldest sister and from a young age has generally known that her mother is a waste of space. She's a petty criminal, a serial user when it comes to men and now someone who has jumped bail leaving Molly and her sisters to pick up the pieces. As if that wasn't enough to contend with Molly keeps tripping over John a rival bounty hunter who seems determined to stay ...more

Why on earth Molly was hating on John I do not know, he was like a sweet teddybear that did everything to protect her. Just let him do it!

And with that I will begin. So my previous Ruggle books have been great, this one was still good, but I guess the couple did not sizzle like previous ones. Mostly cos she tried to get away from him and then suddenly she loved him and like a day had passed. Oh well, it was still fun!

In Her Sights by Katie Ruggle is the first book in her new series and was a wild ride from the beginning.

Five sisters who are bounty hunters are some of the strongest heroines that Ms. Ruggle has written to date. Each one of the sisters contributes to the business by using their personal strengths. Ms. Ruggle used this book to set the stage and introduce each sister as well as John Carmody, a rival bounty hunter, who is extremely interested in the eldest sister, Molly. The plot is swiftly paced,

Why has it taken me so long to realize that Katie Ruggle is one of my favorite authors? I'm absolutely baffled about this. I have never once been disappointed with one of her romantic suspense novels and In Her Sights might take the cake as my all-time favorite. A family of bounty hunting sisters are sure to get themselves in a whole lot of trouble.

The thing I absolutely adore about Katie Ruggle novels (In Her Sights included) is that her characters are so real. I mean, for god's sake, this is a

There are two plots woven in this book. One is Jane, the mother of the sisters, has allegedly committed a burglary as well as complicit with stealing Molly's car. This plot looks like it's going to be carried over through the series and was unresolved. Plus not much happened on this plot.

The main plot was setting up Molly and John to work together to catch a bail jumper.

But mostly it seemed like a lot of uninteresting stuff. I really couldn't get into the family nicknames, the dialogue or the b

In Her Sights is the first in the Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters series. Molly and her four sisters run a bounty hunter business. When their Mom gets in trouble and jumps bail, they’re on the case. Fast paced action from the start had me quickly turning the pages. Molly & John’s chemistry leaps of the pages. If In Her Sights is any indication of the series, the rest will be fantastic. Just one more reason that I’m a Katie Ruggle fan for life!

I have a deep, deep love for clueless dudes who suddenly realize the perfect person for them is the one who's been standing in front of them the entire time. As it turns out, I also love the clueless ladies. WHO KNEW?!?!

Molly has NO CLUE Carmondy's sudden appearances while she's on jobs are anything more than him trying to (a) recruit her to work with him or (b) steal her skip. No idea. She's gloriously oblivious even when it's pointed out to her. Literally everyone except her sees it, but she j

Since reading the Search and Rescue and Rocky Mountain K9 Unit series Katie Ruggle has been on my auto buy list. I love that her stories all have strong female leads, real alpha guys who don’t have to throw their weight or their wealth around to prove their manliness and there’s always romance, laughs and a good dose of mystery to keep things lively.

Sadly, I think my expectations were just too high for this new series :( Overall the book was good. It still piqued my inter
Skip your bail and you'll never know what hit you when these Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters cuff you and march you to the nearest police station. I thought the premise of five bounty hunting sisters and their romances to be a great formula for a new series and I was right.

Molly Pax is doing her best to keep her family bail recovery business in the black. Two major issue are other bail bondsmen trying to hone in on her skips. More importantly, however, is trying to deal with her criminal mother Jane. Along with her four sisters, Molly is now in a very tough situation. Jane has committed a huge theft, was caught and arrested, and has skipped bail. Unknowingly, Jane managed to put the family home up as collateral, leaving the girls in dire straits.

I am an unapologetic Katie Ruggle superfan. Her action, humor, and heart laced books always leave me with the biggest smile on my face. IN HER SIGHTS is no exception! It combines everything you love about a Katie Ruggle novel with masterful world building for a brand new series. I am in awe.

I enjoy everything I've read by Katie Ruggle, which is mostly romantic suspense. In Her Sights starts off a new series, Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters.  There is a free anthology, Turn the Tide, which includes an introduction to the series, Any Necessary Force, which I really wish I had read first.  *OK  I read it las

I really enjoyed Katie Ruggle’s stories, but this new series brings a fresh, new twist.

In Her Sights is the first of a new series which features five sisters who, despite their criminal (and criminally negligent) mother are in the bounty hunter business. Molly Pax is the oldest and the one who actually takes down the criminals. Her sisters support her with research and stake outs but most of the fence jumping and criminal tackling comes down to Molly herself.

This is the first book in a new series by Katie Ruggle. It is set in Colorado, like the last three series that I’ve listened to from her. I don’t think there is any overlap at all with the previous series other than small town in Colorado. I was excited to start this new series, because I’ve really loved the characters that Ruggle has created in the past. I also love her small town settings. Both of which I really enj

In Her Sights is the first book in the Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters series by Katie Ruggle. The series will be focused on the Pax sisters, their work as bounty hunters and how they will find love. The story doesn't end with this book and it will probably take all 5 books to get closure. The blurb covers up what is happening in the book very well, so I won't add anything else on that front.

I have read a few of Katie Ruggle's books, so it was no question whether or not I would pick this one up.

I enjoyed this book by Katie Ruggle, especially the premise of the five sisters who work together to run a bounty hunting agency. All five sisters are interesting, each in her own way, and I look forward to seeing them again in future books.

I felt like the romance took a back seat more in this book than in most of Ruggle's other books. John was a good character, and it was obvious that he was head over heels for Molly, but she took way too long to catch up. That made the romance aspect seem a bi

This romantic suspense had plenty of exciting action and I always like when the male pursues the female but I didn't care for the heroine. She was rather nasty to the hero most of the book. It got heavy on characters thoughts and I skimmed some. While bounty hunter Molly is on stakeout she encounters rival bounty hunter John.

I like KR's other series, and this one is much lighter. It's more like a Stephanie Plum story where she actually gets to have sex with Ranger in the first book. Add 4 sisters and you've almost got a rom-com. It was a bit too much snark and too little sex for me, but it was fun.

I have to admit, up front, that I love a clueless partner within the main couple of any story – genre doesn’t matter. It’s that bold as a tree that stepped out in the road in front of your car reaction that eventually happens that makes me either smile or laugh out loud. There’s a lot within IN HER SIGHTS that made me laugh, and get annoyed, and angry and completely lost in this opening story in the new series about five bounty hunter sisters, their criminal mother an

I read this book in one sitting. It was... absolutely incredible. This story had high stakes and so much action, yet it felt lighthearted and fun and romantic. I wasn't expecting the romance to be a slow burn(those tend to be hit or miss for me), but between the afore mentioned high stakes as well as their relationship dynamic the first part of the book (she viewed him as a rival/didn't know he was into her) it worked very well here. Especially since it was made up for by the fact that every int ...more
