"Nine-year-old Ben Jinks and his pet hamster Stinky are back- and this time they're aiming for the moon! Can the pair triumph at the science fair, despite their neighbours' crafty plotting? Ben knows that what goes up must come down, but how will Stinky fare on his maiden voyage?"
I loved this book mainly because I met the author in real life and I know what he puts into it. My copy was given to me by Dave Lowe and signed too I loved this book and it was super funny you have to read this.
Miss 6 liked the book (though she wasn't engrossed by it). It was silly and funny and she liked how things worked out.
Miss 6 and I like to explore different books and authors at the library, sometimes around particular topics or themes. We try to get different ones out every week or so; it's fun for both of us to have the variety and to look at a mix of new & favourite authors.
This is probably my kids' favourite book in the series. The twists, highs and lows are vastly different from the other books in the same series. Without fail, the author is able to weave in good moral values without preaching.

This is the second book in this series I have read with my wee fella...the 5 stars is his rating and mine:-). Nice little story with some funny moments. We enjoyed this story very much.
Brisbane-based author Dave Lowe is a sweet and funny guy whose books are just like him. So if you're looking for fun and engaging reads for 7 to 9 year olds, this series hits all the right buttons.
This book is fiction. The genre of this book is a Adventure. I chose to read this book because I like hamsters and space so perhaps I thought it would be interesting for me to find out what is in the book.
This book is about a boy and a smart hamster who wanted to make a rocket which will fly to the moon at the science fair. The setting of the book is their house, science fair and the school. The story takes place nowadays. The central characters are the boy named Benjamin and the hamster named Jasper. Benjamin's and Jaspers challenge is to try and make a rocket which will send Jasper to the moon. The main plot is that Harper thinks that Benjamin cannot make a rocket because he is not smart and cranky. The story made me feel happy, excited and made me laugh because a lot of funny and editing moments happened in the book. It made me happy because they accomplished to make a rocket. Benjamin did seem real but the hamster Harper did not because he was talking in the book and hamsters cannot talk. There was a funny n Part when the hamster for me is very funny. The scary but was when Harper was riding on the rocket and rocket fell on the ground no one knew of Harper was alive or dead. This story made me think that I can do anything but I just have to try and not give up. I want to recommend this book to my friends to show them that everything is possible only if they try and never give up. The recommended age for reading this book would be 7 years old. My eating for this book will be 9 out of 10.
