My Rating: 4 stars.
My Recommendation: Anyone, it is a perfect bedtime story for kiddos and their grandmas.
My Thoughts: I requested this book because for as long as I can remember I’ve seen Precious Moment dolls in my grandma’s house – her collection of them is one of the earliest memories I have of her house. As a little kid, I’d stand in front of them admiring how many different dolls there were. Each was pretty and not to be touched, which may have been why they were so impressive. This book is a perfect little read for young children and their grandma’s. It’s short but not too short, the pictures were cute and my little sister kept saying ‘this like’ and she would name a sibling or other family member and said how the people in the book were like them.
And the book has disappeared from the table beside me . . . To be read in the hammock of my youngest sister who loved it.
I enjoyed reading it with my little sister so it doesn’t even have to be read by grandmas and grandchildren, it could be read by parents and children who haven’t met their grandparents yet.

Precious Moments Little Book of Grandma’s Love by Jean Fischer is a sweet little board book for the young ones. It has cute little poems on each page that pertain to something grandma is doing with her grandchildren. It also contains a small scripture under original Precious Moments artwork. This is a wonderful way for the grandparents of small children to spend their time together.

PRECIOUS MOMENTS LITTLE BOOK OF GRANDMA'S LOVE is a sweet little board book for Grandma's and grandchildren to share - especially if you are blessed enough to be close! If you live on opposite sides of the country -- as I do -- its a sweet reminder of what your mom did with your children.
Fans of Precious Moments will want to collect this and grandma's and grandchildren will love.

Whenever I hug my grandma tight,
I show her how much I love her!” the rhyme, Thank You, God, states in the Precious Moments Little Book of Grandma’s Love by Jean Fischer.
~ What ~
At thirty-two pages, this board book with a padded front cover and rounded corners targets children ages four to eight years old who like short poems and Bible verses about grandmothers. With no scary scenes, the rhymes are by the author and other writers with some referencing the International Children’s Bible. Full-color iconic drawings grace the pages of little children and grandmoms doing various activities.
The four to eight lined poems and prayers are about the matriarch, including topics of riding bikes, working in a garden, playing games, learning, pretending, drawing, swimming, walking, reading the Bible, eating ice cream, thanking God, and more. With the majority of the rhymes being by Fischer, there are also ones of a traditional British folk song and Leroy Freeman Jackson, Robert Louis Stevenson, and Thomas Hood. Bible verses are written out from Genesis, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Jeremiah, Isaiah, and I John.
~ Why ~
This is a charming way to honor and remember grandmothers through poems and prayers. Being a fan of the Precious Moments illustrations, I like seeing them again as an adult. I greatly appreciate that the book contains the love of God and how to love and appreciate grandmas.
~ Why Not ~
Those who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ may not approve of this book. Beginner readers may have trouble with the two- and three-syllable words.
~ Wish ~
While the designs are well known and cute in this book, the wording may not be understandable to a preschooler.
~ Want ~
If you are old enough to remember the darling Precious Moments illustrations, you will enjoy reading this book of poems and prayers that focus on grandmoms and how important they are in our lives. It would be a thoughtful gift for that mom in your life who can read it to her grandchildren.

The sweet rhymes bring across many precious moments kids spend with their grandmother, be it hiking, eating ice cream, sick in bed or going to sleep.
This is a small and stout board book, just right for younger listeners hands. The pages are sturdy and allow for many flips and flops as kids search and discover moments they will recognize from their own lives. Grandmothers take center stage as young listeners visit all of the things they can experience with their grandmas. Some are fun, some quiet and caring, while other experiences come when she simply dries tears.
Each page holds a small rhyme. The topic is written clearly at the top and decorated with lovely flowers. There's a simple Bible verse on each two-page spread which relates to the rhymes. The illustrations care done with the well-known, Precious Moments' style. They offer enough details for young listeners to easily understand what is happening and grasp the emotions involved.
It's a sweet read and a wonderful homage to grandmothers, while still remembering how they help strengthen the faith and are a part of God's blessings.

Precious Moments Little Book of Grandma’s Love by Jean Fischer is a nice book of poems about the relationship between a grandmother and her grandchildren. It is 5.2 x 1 x 7.2 inches in size and is a 32-page board book. The book includes close to 30 poems and shows grandmothers and grandchildren of many different ethnic backgrounds. Many of the poems are original ones, and some are written by famous writers of the past.
One of my favorite original poems was one about a nature walk, and one of my favorite poems from the past was a collection of verses about bedtime by Thomas Hood. The author also includes relevant Bible verses throughout the book. My favorite drawing is one where a grandma is pushing her granddaughter on a swing. The illustrations are cute, and drawn in the style of precious moments figurines.
The book has a cheerful tone. It shows the wonderfulness of engaging in ordinary, everyday activities with the people you love. It would be a great gift to give to a grandmother! I received this book for review.

Little Book of Grandma's Love is a sweet little hard cover book that shows the many ways Grandma shows her love and faith. The classic Precious Moments® artwork, fun poems, nice rhyming text, sweet prayers, and Bible verses make this an easy and fun little book to share. For example: "My picture for Grandma begins with a heart. I put us inside so we're never apart."This will be a favorite little book to share with my grandchildren for many years to come. With little poems and faith based passages, this book is going to be a perfect small gift for Grandmas and they can spend time reading out loud to little ears while creating big moments. I recently learned that I was becoming a grandma and I think that this is a book that I will keep for the precious moments when I can read it to my grandson, but it was fun to share with the kids while we wait.
