The book is very informative and incredible in poetry, plays, and short stories writing though I am in favor of poetry.

I didn't find a whole lot of instruction or very many useful suggestions. A whole lot of crap about developing your imagination, etc. A lot of pre writing stroking. F*** that. Pick up your pen, a blank sheet of paper and get to work. Write until your finished. Then rationalize it, smooth out the lumps, add a new chapter. First comes the hot, sweaty work.
