The Professor

Rate this book
I’m Professor Drake Grayson. I’ve been teaching Psychology for the last few years at Fox University. It’s a great university, filled with a wide variety of students. Some eager to learn, some eager to get in my pants. I’ve never crossed that line. I’ve never taken advantage of the power I have. I’ve never wanted to bend a student over my desk like I have with Emma Bower. She makes me want to forget I’m her professor and teach her things that she’ll remember forever. But is the risk worth it? I’m Emma Bower. I’m in my last year of Fox University as a Psychology major. I can’t wait to get out into the real world and pick people apart. It’s been an amazing four years filled with memories that I’ll never forget. Especially the penetrating stare of Professor Grayson. That man has been in every fantasy I’ve had since the day I walked in his class. I know he’s untouchable, forbidden, he’s my professor, my mentor. But what if his touches lasted longer and his eyes darkened with a wicked grin? What if the professor everyone wants, wanted me? Would the risk be worth it? There’s only one way to find out.

Nothing gets me more excited than a good teacher/student story, which is why I picked this up. The beginning was great, the ending not so much. I loved the dirty-talking professor and thought the college girls sounded just like...college girls. Surprise, surprise. I wish the relationship had been more developed since it seemed like all the hero/heroine did was have sex. Also, another round of edits is necessary.

That was the WORST epilogue I’ve ever read in my life!!
The book was good and then the epilogue came... BOOM!
Instantly Stars falling off the rating. Why would you do that with the ending? I’m pissed.
I WAS excited to read The Coach but now I’m not sure I’ll bother with the way this author feels comfortable ending their books. 😡

Wow, I seriously was not expecting what reading The Professor did to me! I know, I know...the title makes you think it's just the standard issue taboo professor/student thing that's all about the naughtiness the forbidden offers, but The Professor is much more than that.

Drake Grayson is the hot professor all the college coeds want but he's never dipped his toe in that particular pond. He's got too much to lose if he ever got caught, so he keeps his exploits to women who don't litter his campus and his classroom. That is, until Emma Bower happens to him. They dance around it for awhile but eventually, they give in and of course it's super hot - forbidden and all that. But what I liked about The Professor is that the emotional component is as important to the story as the physical. Emma and Drake's connection is just as strong emotionally as it is physically. Both are substantial, layered, supremely likable characters.

If you like your forbidden romances with both heat and heart (and some sadness and melancholy thrown in), I highly advise you 1-click today!

I received an ARC for an honest review.

“He’s a tough teacher, but even the students not majoring in psychology rush to sign up. It has nothing to do with the class, it’s the professor.”

I hope your air conditioning is working because The Professor is HOT AF! Luke Prescott turned up the sexy factor and probably broke the dial in the process. If you’re searching for something steamy, entertaining, funny, and engaging, pick this one up.

Be warned, regular breaks are required so overheating doesn’t occur.

In typical Luke fashion, things kick off with a bang. But this time is different. Don’t get me wrong, I love the quick and dirty. The Professor offers… more. And you’ll really enjoy all the extras. The slow burn is a wicked roller coaster that cranks up the angst and tension. Just when they’d get close, something would happen so the cycle started again. I was about ready to shove them into a storage closet and toss away the key.

Where was Professor Grayson when I was in college? I do not remember any hotties teaching psych courses. Thankfully I can live vicariously through Emma and her seductive experience. I had a feeling all those extra study sessions would come in handy for her.

Drake is delicious and Emma can’t resist. Who could? And why would you want to? Dive in now and get all the desk-banging out of your system!

This book was beyond amazing! As soon as I started reading it I was captivated and hooked. It’s the kind of hooked where you just can’t put the book down. Its full on build up, angst, passion, and just HOT! Pure perfection!

Professor Grayson cares about his job, he does, but it’s hard when you have all these beautiful college girls throwing themselves at you on a daily basis. It makes him sort of an asshole on the out side, A hot one, but he doesn’t want to deal with the consequences.
He keeps his guard firmly in tact but, uh oh, enter Emma Bower. A student in one of his classes that he is quite intrigued with.

Emma is the smart beauty. Hard working and wants to succeed after she gets her degree. She keeps her focus but her psychology professor makes it tough. She doesn’t want to be like all the other girls and just throw herself at him. But secretly, she really does.

The sexual tension just builds and builds between them and you know it will be explosive. You can feel it while reading. It’s the best kind of slow burn. What happens when they can’t take anymore? Will they be able to survive the consequences? You have to read and see!

Luke did amazing job with this story. I love all his books but he knocked it out of the park. Definitely a must read.

Emma has finally graduating from college. She is ready to go out and become a psychologist. But she has to finish Drake Grayson class. Drake is the hot young psychology teacher that every woman wants. But he has a no student rule. He wants to keep his job and is enjoying life. But when Emma starts giving Drake more attention than ever before Drake sees something inside her.

Emma has been dreaming of Drake for a while now. She has a huge crush on him and wants to be in his bed. But after getting to know him they fall into a friendship.

This story isn't just about two people having sex and that's it. Drake and Emma have a real connection and love story. The reason I didn't give this story 5 stars is the ending. It is a beautiful ending but left me feeling off. I am not sure where it goes from here.

First I am going to say that I recommend this book as a must read. With each new book, it is easy to see how this author's writing talent steadily grows. And that says a lot because I have loved each book written by Luke Prescott. The Professor pleasantly surprised me. After reading the blurb and teasers for this book, I wasn't sure the direction this taboo romance was heading. I admit that I assumed Drake would be a bit too arrogant but that was not the case. Yes, he was demanding but also a gentlemen. The Professor has all the feels. As a reader I was very satisfied how the author gave us an incredible story filled with a range of emotions. A great balance of seriousness, humor and scorching intimacy. The pace of this book was steady to fast and I was able to read it in a couple of hours. I was engaged from the very beginning and my interest never wavered.

I had a few moments of worry and wasn't sure where this story would lead. That said, you may find a couple of predictable moments but that doesn't take anything away from making Drake and Emma's story a fun, flirty, sinfully sexy read. In addition, we are introduced to several secondary characters that added additional depth. I loved the dynamic between some of the characters. I don't want to give anything away but I can say two of those characters will find themselves on the pages of another book from this author.

I'll be brief here.....Drake is The Professor and Emma is his student. There is an age gap but I didn't feel like it was a big deal. Though she may be younger, Emma was mature. She was a good student; independent and loyal. Another aspect of this book I loved was the build of tension. Emma and Drake were attracted to each other very early on. That said, because of the student/teacher dynamic, Drake and Emma tried very hard to keep their distance. When they finally did get together, my Kindle was in danger of melting, ;). Drake and Emma, had a few hurdles to get over before the got their happy ending. This is where my slight disappointment is mentioned. The ending came very quickly. While there was an epilogue that took place only weeks later, I was hoping for an additional epilogue that shows this amazing couple a few years later. I wanted more. I needed it.

This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. :)

SO Damn HOT!! More than a 5 Star Read!! MUST READ of 2018!!

I was drawn into this Teacher/Student romance from page one and couldn't put it down. Drake and Emma have an amazing chemistry from the very beginning. The sexual tension between these two had sparks flying page by page. I couldn't read fast enough. I laughed, cried, and totally fell head over heels in love with these two.

This book was absolutely perfect in every way. I think I was drawn in more knowing that this is a romance written by a man. Luke Prescott has done such an amazing job on this book and has now become my favorite male author. I will be stalking him and can not wait to read more of his books!!

I am HIGHLY RECOMMENDING this book!!

Happy Reading Everyone!!!

Emma and Drake’s story is heartbreaking and bittersweet. It is told in an empathic way so you easily can sympathize with both protagonists.
Once again it made me appreciate the gift of love as does every romance. But this time it felt more intense because both protagonists fight so hard to deny their forbidden feelings.
And it is told in a simple but very memorable way that is more impressive than the gushing about emotions that some other authors do with their romances.
This is a deliciously forbidden and taboo love story and yet much, much more than I expected by this title.
It is epic and so well worth your time.

Meh. I skimmed nearly the entire story. The writing just didn't grab me, and the story was just ok. The best writing happens when it's just Emma and Drake together. It felt like the intimate scenes were thought out and written first and the rest was just filler.

The student/teacher trope is my favorite, and I've read some spectacular ones so it's not a case of content or the story line this time. With the high ratings I'm hoping it's just a case of "it's not you, it's me".......... but, who knows.......

That epilogue sucked.

Liked the book. I'm very thankful the heroine was actually smart, mature, and not a "squealing" student. Now the hero? Yep, I'm hot for teacher! Not going to argue about his dirty mouth, I ate it up. The let down was the epilogue. I felt like I hit a brick wall. You left us hanging, I'm not going to mention details because others have yet to read it. I honestly feel cheated.

I need a book 2! This was awesome. I fell hard once for a professor but didn't get the fairy tale. I'd love to see maybe a sequel? This book was very well done and definitely worth the read. He's hot and hmmm I'm thinking maybe some summer courses? Well done Luke

This is an amazing and steamy read from the get go that keeps getting hotter. Emma is totally enamoured by Professor Grayson like every other female but, can they keep it professional? Older sexy man/younger beautiful woman. Wow! Just wow. Get ready for a cold shower. Lol.

This turned out to be a really good book. It was a teacher- student book but had a very interesting story. Loved the characters and the humor in the story. The ending was a little abrupt and I wish there could have been more detail but it does leave the book open for another story.

The Professor caught me off guard and gave me a new appreciation for the art of taboo relationships. The characters were well fleshed out and relatable. The courtship was perfectly executed flawed and beautiful. I love it from beginning to end. Note: This book increased my reading speed.

Spoilers Below

This book was so close to being a 5 star book. But a couple things kept it from making it. The good.... I liked the take on the student/teacher genre. It was refreshing. The main characters were well thought out.(some of the secondary ones were kind of meh, but you can't have it all, yeah?)

Spoilers below!!!!
The not so good.....

1. For a couple that was so concerned about not getting caught together, the sure engaged in a lot of extremely risky behavior that would have had severe consequences.
2. The ending...Seriously? I felt like I read the book just to be cut off before the last one or two chapters. Some people may like an ending like the one here, but endings like this make me nuts. I want to have a definitive HEA or at least closer to one than we are left with here. Not to be left hanging. And I am pretty sure there is not another book coming. It's kinda obvious. If I didn't have KU I would have been extremely upset. Now if the book had ended properly, I would have given it 4.5-5 stars. The risky behavior would have been worth it. I would have thought it all would have been building towards the end. But no, not happening, sadly.

Anyway, I hate giving reviews like this. In fact I rarely do. And I never include spoilers, but I was so frustrated with the ending I had to vent somewhere and here we are. I am not giving up on this author yet. I have picked up another book by them and am hoping that it will change my opinion. I certainly hope so.

What to say without giving too much away?

The 'Taboo-Student/Teacher' concept has been done before, however, this story is a bit more than just a hot, forbidden tale...yes the start of the story, where Emma and her Professor have a hot an heavy session in the library (which turns out to be a dream/fantasy) grabs your attention..but as the story unfolds, one of the things I liked about this was that there was actually a gradual build up,the mutual attraction/and determination of not crossing a line from both leads was a change from usual telling of this type of story.Told in Dual POV's with some back story from both sides, some of which was an added emotional twist, the supporting character's introduced often had me laughing out loud (especially Drake's best friend Liam and Emma's room mate Aubrey). Obviously, lines do become blurred and the desire to give into temptation, and Holy **** Emma and Drake are very H.O.T and their chemistry is evident.
I was hooked right from the start, and totally surprised with how it ended (not what I expected)- I can only hope that it is not the last we've seen of these character's,as I did feel that although the writing was certainly more developed from what I have read by this Author previously,it did seem a bit of a rush towards the ending, although I did enjoy reading and would re-read again, and I can't wait to see what's next!

The Professor by Luke Prescott is a professor/student taboo story. You just know when you read one of these forbidden romance, you’re bound to get angst, passion, and steamy sex scenes. The sexual tension between Professor Drake Grayson and Emma Bowen is explosive! We are introduced to secondary characters who were an added bonus to the story. My thoughts the ending left me wanting a bit more. There is definitely more to their story. It’s a great read definitely pick this one up!

Drake is a Professor at Fox University. He needs his job and doesn’t want any distractions nor complications. The University is full of rumors with Professor’s sleeping around with students. Drake is careful about spending private time with any of his students; he can’t afford the negativity. He has a past full of guilt and hurt that weighs heavily on him. This man is one hell of a dirty talker.....holy smokes! What happens if you’re attracted to one of your students? Is Drake willing to risk it all for...Emma?

Emma is a smart, hard working, independent young woman. She’s in her last year majoring in Psychology. Emma is focused on her school work, she wants to be successful in her career after graduation. Emma’s hot Professor is making if difficult for her to concentrate, she keeps having these wild fantasies about him. Will she be able to make it through her final semester without falling for Professor Grayson? Can either of them keep it professional, or will they cave into the temptation?

*clears throat* Let me begin by saying this is a MUST read people! We are thrown into a world of the most forbidden thing you can do...that taboo of student/teacher relationship but does it really matter? For me the answer is no. If they are both two consenting adults, then let them enjoy the simple things in life. No one has the right to judge you or talk about you for finding someone that gets you and still loves you for it. We see so many of these older man younger woman types of relationships around and no one says a thing. It's a new age, you have to go 20th thr flow as they say. In this story Professor Grayson finds love in a student. Emma finds her heart in him as well. They must keep it a secret because if not not just one but both will lose it all. Through thr whole story we watch as they both give us so much to love and learn and just root for them that we can help but love them. By the end we watch as things go a different way they what we hoped but it was worth it.

I've been a member of your group for a year now and I must say...thank you for being a part of my social media life. It's been a blast to be there. I absolutely love the ladies there and of course you as well Luke. It makes my day when I get a chance to log on and see what's going on. I just want to congratulate you on a fantastic book and can't wait for the next one. You rock!! I happily give 5+ stars

Luke Prescott brings together two characters in The Professor that could set my kindle on fire with the chemistry alone. I was grabbed by the connection of Professor Drake Grayson and his student Emma Bower.

I found myself saying, "Damn Professor Drake Grayson!" I could barely concentrate on the read every time he's mentioned. How could anyone sit in his Psychology class and not squirm? Crossing the student/ teacher line is going to be difficult, especially when he can't stop thinking wild thoughts about one of his students.

Emma Bower is enjoying her last year majoring in Psychology. She is ready to face the world and get into the minds of others. Will she be able to get through her last year and not risk her future with falling for her Professor? I really liked her sweet persona and flirty attitude.

This is a fast and sexy read that introduces lots of secondary characters that I hope to get to know more about. Drake Grayson alone deserves the five stars, but I can't help but feel that I wanted a little more of the story line in the middle of my read, especially when it comes to the roommates. The end left me feeling complete. It really is an exciting read. I love an author who can leave me with an memorable dominate alpha male. Prescott not only delivers one, he gifts the reader with a couple of standout male characters in The Professor.

4.5 Stars!

THE PROFESSOR is the first book that I’ve from Luke Prescott and it won’t be the last.

I really liked Drake. A professor sleeping with his student is scandalous, but you know that he has never done this before and that he fights his attraction to Emma pretty hard. He doesn’t treat her like he has power over her and he was not afraid of his growing feelings for her. I really liked Emma too, who was smart and very mature and not at all annoying like some college-aged characters can be. Though I did roll my eyes when she described being torn in half every time she and Drake had sex.

Speaking of sex, it was good. Some of the hottest I’ve read in a loooong time. Emma and Drake were damn hot together. DAMN HOT!

I really enjoyed this story, but there’s one big reason why I only gave this 4❤ instead of 5❤, and that reason is the ending. The epilogue is sweet but at the same time disappointing because the story felt unfinished. There’s no HEA or even a HFN, at least in my opinion, and the next book in the series will be about another couple. I’m really hoping that we’ll get updates on Drake and Emma’s relationship from the other books coming out in this series.

THE PROFESSOR is told in dual POVs and is the first book in the Fox University – FU series.

The Professor by Luke Prescott is scorching hot, yet also a beautiful forbidden romance that I couldn't get enough of. When I first read the blurb, I knew I wanted to read this one and I was not let down. I loved everything about this book, well except the ending, but even that didn't take away from how much I enjoyed reading this one.

Professor Grayson is going to have women everywhere fawning over him. I loved how smart he was, his heart, and how he loved taking charge. His character was brilliant. I couldn't get enough of him and when you finally learn what he's holding back, you will love him that much more. I so adored Emma, her character was not what I was expecting. I loved that she was smart, driven, and even when things scared her, she still pushed forward. Drake and Emma brought out the best in each other and helped one another to grow. It was breathtaking and I can't wait for the next book in the series because I need more of these characters. The ending flat out gutted me. I mean it was sensationally heartbreaking, but it only made me love Drake more.

So if you enjoy a good teacher/student romance filled with lots of heart, lots of emotions you aren't sure what to do with and a sexy professor that has every page scorching, then you'll savor every last page of this book.

I give The Professor by Luke Prescott 4 out of 5 SEARING STARS!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book. Holy crap! Just wow! What a book. I wasn’t sure what to expect when meeting Professor Grayson, but OMG ladies you better get a fan and a cold glass of water and anything else you may need to cool yourself down. Professor Grayson (Drake) is the epitome of hot, sexy, smoldering eyes and a commanding aura about him. He’s enamored with a student, but he knows this is not something that can happen. Little does he know that Emma fantasizes about him just as much as he does about her. It’s taboo and wrong on every level, but when fate steps in and these two are pulled together, there’s no stopping what’s about to happen. They both know that they could lose everything, is it worth it to be together. Drake is hiding something and being the woman Emma is she wants to get to the root of his issues, which could lead them down a path they can’t come back from. These two are explosive together, sexy, deliciously hot on every level and the sex scenes together are off the charts! Can these two keep their relationship a secret or will someone find out and ruin everything? Loved this book, it’s crazy good, a must read, so ladies, get your kindles ready for Professor Grayson, he’s panty melting hot!!

Holy hotness I just love taboo books of any kind and especially teacher/student books and this was no exception. Well written this wasn't just all about sex, there were a lot of emotions and feelings at play here which worked really well for me. The chemistry and connection the two main characters had was just wonderful and made reading this book a total delight.

This is Emma and Drake's story which was so good as we got to read it in duel perspective which is my favourite. Like I said it wasn't all wham bam thank you mam, both of these character's struggled with their feelings towards one another, we seen this in the build up of the story; to cross the line or not to, it was so frustratingly good to experience this book because I couldn't stop turning the pages to find out what happened and of course Drake is hot and has a dirty mouth - pantie melting stuff, an added bonus !!!

It was sexy, well written, emotional, frustrating but glorious and the ending, I didn't see coming at all, secondary characters were hilarious and added immensely to the story.

All in all a really great book and one I would definitely say go one click now !!!

Who doesn't love a student/teacher romance, Luke Prescott has not disappointed with this book.

Every female wants Professor Grayson but he has a rule to never sleep with a student but that rule is about to get broken when the beautiful Emma Bower becomes to much for the good Professor to resist. What only starts as just sex soon turns in to more and neither can get enough of the other, they both know that if they were to get caught the consequences would be dire. Professor Grayson has a past of guilt and hurt that he carries around on his shoulder which is keeping him from leaving the University. So what will happen when it comes time for Emma to graduate?

The Professor is a hot and steamy read which has a touch of sadness to it, Emma and Grayson have seriously hot chemistry, I loved the secondary characters too, it made me laugh a lot with the banter. I hope Aubrey gets a book next because I'm dying to see what Luke can do with her story. Another fab book from one of my favourite authors, Ii recommend you one click it when it releases....

A naughty, dirty talking psychology professor that everyone is fantasizing about...maybe fantasy's can come true?

Drake Grayson is all business when he's teaching his students. Too many rumors float around at Fox University. He's very careful about spending any extra time or private time with students. It doesn't matter if he's attracted to one of his student's, he's not that guy. He can't afford to risk it all for her.

Emma has been crushing on Professor Grayson since her first day. However, it's her last year and all she wants to do is finish her degree and get a good internship. She's not willing to risk it all for a fantasy.

Both try and stay away, but the tension and heat between them becomes too much to resist. And when they finally get together, it's explosive!

Their chemistry is sizzling HOT! And Drake is the king of dirty talk! Loved these characters and the storyline. I look forward to more from them in future stories. I WANT MORE!!! I'm hoping for Coach Rearden and Aubrey's story next.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I Loved it so much I also purchased a copy. Luke is an amazing author, he can spin a storyline on a genre that will leave you craving more. This book left me wanting more!
Professor Drake Grayson is every young woman’s fantasy. He’s intelligent and sexy, with a tortured soul.
Emma’s favorite class is psychology, which is her major, but also because her Professor is Drake. Emma secretly lusts for his attention, but is shy and focused on getting a good grade so she can get her dream job.
Her roommate Aubrey is her best friend and is her support system. She’s my favorite of her roommates. I would love to read more about her. Maybe in a second book?
This is a must read if you love a beautiful, soul crushing story. Their chemistry was Hot, but what I loved more was their connection. They completed each other perfectly.
This book was simply one of the most memorable Professor stories I read. Thank you again for another bestseller Luke. I’ll be patiently waiting for the next book, don’t keep me hanging too long.
