Une promenade forte agréable, où les divagations nous immergent intensément. Comme si nous étions avec Nerval, nous partageons ses discussions et ses rêves. J'ai maintenant très envie de reproduire sa balade en octobre.

really enjoyed this essay collection, surprisingly. it's a gentle meander through paris at night - nerval guides us through the marketplaces and dance halls and cabarets of the city, focusing rather intently on a street performer and a girl with hair of fleece.

this is followed by a more amusing episode as nerval tours france and ends up imprisoned after forgetting his passport in méaux on the way to see otters with a friend.
