Rate this book
Billionaire inventor Nathaniel Blake has just evaded his security team. As he sits atop a bridge, mystery girl Eve steps from her car like an angel in the headlights. Soon, he’s revealing secrets he never intended to share. In a world where everyone wants a piece of him, she might be the one woman he can finally love. Without warning she vanishes from his life, and Nathaniel will do anything to find her. Aaron Randall is Nathaniel’s head of security, and Eve has just gotten him fired and evicted from his hotel. When she mistakenly offers him a place to stay, he isn’t about to say no. Keeping her at a distance is easy, until it becomes impossible to live without her. Eve hasn’t let a man close to her in months, but things are about to change. Will she follow the dangerous path towards Nathaniel or the home she’s built with Aaron… From debut author Samantha Kately comes a dark love story that will have you question where your loyalties lie.

I’m a new author of Romance and Young Adult fiction. I’ve been writing for 9 years and I have just released my first novel Ardent Strangers, the first in a romantic suspense series. You can find it on Amazon. The opening scene i dreamt. The dream version was quite different to what the book has now become after many edits. But that’s another story.

My next release will be the young adult fantasy. The story for this has been with me for many years and it wasn’t until last year that I was finally ready to write it. Looking forward to sharing this story with you soon.

Enjoy!

Thanks,
Sam.

Really enjoyed this book, it was a page-turner! There's insta-love on the men's side (2 men are in love with Evangeline). Eve is confused on which guy she wants more. There's a stalker ex-boyfriend sending threatening letters as well as a jilted ex-lover of Nathaniel's. I would have liked to have seen more interaction between the men and Eve getting to know each other. Especially, Nathaniel as, except for the bridge scene in the beginning, I don't see how they have a connection and how he could be so much in love with her. Aaron and Eve spend more time together. Aaron reveals a lot of himself to Eve, telling her about his brother, and what happened with Nathaniel's father when they were teens. He screws up by cheating, thinking Eve has decided on Nate over him, though she is still undecided. The story ends in a cliffhanger and it's necessary to buy the next book to find out the rest of the story. At this time, book two is not yet available.

I really enjoyed this romance read. The story took me by surprise more than once and had me turning pages to find out what might happen next. The characters have depth and each one has a story of his or her own that is well-thought out and unique. I loved the layers to each character, the mysterious journey of finding out more about each of them.

Ardent Strangers is packed with action and intrigue. There is no slowing down this roller coaster of a story once you start

The words 'billionaire romance' usually scare me off, but a friend recommended this book so I gave it a try. Without spoiling too much, yes, there's a love triangle, and the two men are (or were) close, so that makes things awkward. But it was an entertaining kind of awkward because of the web of different things going on--music, romance, and even danger from more than one angle. It was exciting and I had trouble putting it down.
