‘Enough’ is a compelling account of self determination and survival written with absolute honesty and passion. Part memoir, part manual full of tips, tricks and rituals to integrate into your life to be the best you, you can be. ‘Enough’ follows the journey of Angela Cox, who after years of unsuccessful & often dangerous dieting, needed a radical mindset shift and a floppy haired Body Coach by the name of Joe, to finally change her own story and support others to do the same. She could never have predicted how she'd gain far more than a new body. In meeting her New Self, she first had to make peace with a painful past that had kept her under lock and key for nearly forty years. This book demonstrates that the power to change your now and your forever exists inside you if you believe that you are enough.
2.5 stars I really wanted to like this book more than I did. I enjoyed the start but found the middle of the book and journey quite repetitive and tedious. The best chapters and strategies were towards the end of the book however I felt they were glazed over in comparison to the issues. This was a difficult book to finish
Enough by Angela Cox was such an inspiring story, and it was made even more affective via the clear and engaging narration on the audiobook. Enough, tells the story of childhood trauma, an unhealthy infatuation with food, and how Angela overcomes these. I have read a several motivational/life-changing books this year, and after reading each one, I am finding myself getting more inspired and stronger. Books are honestly lifechanging! The one thing I am managing to shift is fear. I have always worried about what others think of me, which was very similar to how Angela once felt - but after acknowledging this fear and overcoming it (not the easiest of mind tasks) it is amazingly freeing. Angela throws tips on how to be yourself in the most difficult of situations and to let go of all worry...to be truly happy with yourself. I recommend this often sad, heartfelt and strengthening book. Angela Cox is absolutely amazing and a true inspiration.
Book Peak: A real life story of overcoming, with tools to help those who will no doubt read this and relate on so many levels. Truly inspiring.
Book Pit: Only that I was enjoying the autobiographical section of the book so much that I wished there was more to read.
Favourite Quote: 'Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always.' - Ian McClaren

I've followed Angela on social media for two years, you could say that her transformation on The Body Coach plan sealed the deal on starting my own 90-day plan transformation.
It was always clear from Angela's posts that she had a difficult relationship with food, I knew this because of my own experiences. Many of us will have a reason that we turn to food in times of trouble, and some of us will simply battle with food and body confidence and get stuck on that never-ending treadmill of self-destruction.
I powered through this book, so much of it was like reading about myself or seeing my own thoughts written down. I wish I had this book when I was in my twenties because I know it would have pulled me out of that self-destructive cycle and the years of self-criticism which happened as a result of that.
It was solid, I felt like it lost me 70% of the way through a little. I really enjoy her story at the beginning, but then she got super focused on her issues with her social media accounts and I didn't find that as interesting.
I stopped about 80% of the way through because I felt I had the message I needed.
Even though it is a nice inspiring story, I spent most of the time thinking how this story would go down without the obvious need of therapy. Thankfully at the last pages I could finally breath. There are a lot of pieces in the book that I can live without but I understand that might help some people.
