The Dawson brothers are strong Ex Marines, not looking for love, but found it in the form of a abused scared Sidney.
I absolutely loved this book. It brings to light issues most people choose to ignore, Domestic abuse is real, and Lori brought forth a story of tragedy to triumph. Add in the three hot brothers who show Sidney not all men are the same, how to love, trust and live again. Throw in some REALLY steamy scenes and you have a scorching winner.
You will cry with Sidney, Laugh with her, and cheer for her as she finds herself.

After a life of feeling unwanted and bounced around in foster care, Sidney Rowe believed she had met the man of her dreams. He treasured her, pampered her, and then began abusing her, ridiculing her, and the worst betrayal of all caused her to miscarry the baby she was carrying of his.
Knowing she has to leave and try to get a new start, Sidney finds herself in Apache Crossing working in a bar. She has caught the eye of owners Xavier, Tyce, and Noah Dawson and doesn't know what to do about it. She admits she is attracted, but she has no plans in mixing up with another man when the wounds inflicted by her ex are still close to the surface.
When it looks like her ex has caught up to her, she finds herself turning to Tyce, Xavier, and Noah who only needed one shot at trying to get Sidney into their home. They know they need to be tender and patient with her, but they want all of Sidney and gaining her trust is a lot harder than they imagined.
This was a good one, love Lori King's books. Tyce is the more charismatic of the brothers and the bigger flirt, Noah is the cuddle up teddy bear, and Xavier the dominant in the group. I thought the pacing was perfect and it was not just wham okay I will jump in your bed, each of the men took the time to earn Sidney's trust before they went further.

After reading the blurb for this book, I couldn't wait for it to be released. I enjoyed it and it definitely entertained me with laughter, love and hot menage sex!! I think I just had such high expectations for the book that it fell a little short of that for me. Even though I LOVED LOVED LOVED Tyce, Noah, Xavier and Sidney, I wasn't sucked into the story as much as I wanted to be~there were parts that I loved and parts that I didn't. It was still a good read and I am definitely looking forward to more from Lori and this series. I still gave it a 4 out of 5 rating because the parts that I loved~I really loved and were far more than the ones that I didn't!! :)

Sidney's Triple Shot is the first book in the Apache Crossing series, and I honestly can't wait to read more in what I am sure will be an amazing series.

This was a well-paced story that is both heart-breaking in places, and also full of love and hope. I did find Sidney to be annoying at times, even as I tried to make allowances for her. For someone so scared of being caught by Robert, she has no problem doing stupid things, even after she thinks she is being watched. The three guys had more patience with her than I would have!
With no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading flow, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It has a wonderful cast of characters, and I hope to read their stories too. Steamy in places, and tender in others, this book has a bit of something for everyone. Definitely recommended by me.

Holy Moly! I could not put this down. It is a re-occurring happening with Lori King books. I started this book on Monday morning and finished it Monday night! Thank the Good Lord I have a kindle, because I was even reading while in line at the supermarket!
Sidney Rowe's has had a trauma-drama fulled life. Growing up in foster care, never experiencing love; via hugs and caring, she tumbles into an abusive relationship and stays because she thinks she is unworthy. From the frying pan into the fire! Not only is Robert (the abuser) mentally and physically abusive, he owns her, never letting her go.
Event happen that give Sidney the umph to go on the run... as far away from Robert as possible!

I loved this book and how we were able to be present as Sidney went through life and fought to overcome some of the trauma that she went through. It was excellent that each of the three Hero's had a defined and distinct character that differed from each other. I look forward to visiting with them all again, and I dare you to not fall in love with the DAWSON Three. A fantastic read. Definitely a 5 star.

Supposedly Dominate Alpha males,who let foolish women run off into unknown danger and the TSTL’s who want to run off into danger clueless w/no where to go...
WTH?!?!?!

Ok, you’ve got what sadly becoming book plot cliche, the abused or neglected heroine,down the on her luck w/no where to go but no matter how cliché it’s become if done right ,it can be a moving story ....
Sadly to me,it’s soooooo NOT done right here ...
We open to Sydney in the hospital,waking up confused (no spoilers here you can see this in the sample) in the hospital to find out her latest beating has taken the child she was carrying....
Now even though Sidney seemed to lack depth here and seemed kinda wooden/mechanical here, I’ll let it go,because we all handle abuse differently.... That being said there honestly seemed to lack any were depth to Sydney .....
“Robot Sydney “ ,I didn’t feel a connection to her,she didn’t feel real... and it never got better...
Syd thankfully leaves his sorry evil ass a day or soo after she’s out of the hospital, though I know we all have out different breaking points I found it sad that a woman who just survived what she had,hers was coming home hearing sounds of sex from the bedroom. Ok, granted to almost kill me and you do kill my baby,coming back to that should kick in some sense,sure ...
Of course,but ....
O well, any way she runs and ends up in Texas w/the three sexy brothers working at there bar....
I wasn’t really feeling Sydney,she felt too one dimensional and soo did the guys but I was really hoping things would turn around,you know like you do.... Like I don't know, her having the sense to ditch her phone right off, everyone knows you can be tracked thru it.. Her reasoning is to keep it in case she needs to dial "911"... Seriously ? she could easily get a cheap phone from just about anywhere for that.... just one of the many,many dumb moves that made it hard to take her seriously....
Xavier like his brothers is insane w/lust over Sydney ,and vice versa but unlike the his brothers he tries to think at times with his bigger head, well occasionally anyway...
Well I only made it 30% of the book after several attempts to seduce her have failed ,with her running from them,the guys attempt one more 1/2 hearted attempt to stop her from quitting. ( this chick quickly runs into TSTL territory) they don’t stop her from running even they know she’s living in her car w/someone after her and her having no where to go...
Supposedly dominant alpha males, who one minute say are thinking about what it's like to have her handcuffed on her knees before him controlling her,thinking about his much he craved her trust and yet he just lets her run knowing what he does...
And lil Miss TSTL thinks the guys are sexy but seemingly has no instincts to listen to ,wants to keep running even though she has no friends ,no nothing,she just wants to run,even after her car is burned out w/all her belongings and is left with nothing but the clothes on her back and her tips from that nights work at the bar... (and is pretty sure her ex that wants to KILL her did it)
The guys come and pick her up,she wakes the next morning wanting to leave yet again with still NO WHERE TO GO...
30% in ,not wanting to trust them or speak about her issues is literally wanting to run with no place to go...
WTH ?!?!?
Sydney has no sense and the men other that trying to F her just seem to sit there on their thumbs and their brains...
Honestly you gotta wonder if a)the has the sense to come in out of the rain and b) How the Hell she's survived with as little sense as she does as long as she has..... Seriously, HOW?
This was ridiculous....

Sidney's Triple Shot
This is such an amazing story a roller coaster of emotions.......it takes you on an incredible journey of one woman....how she has to overcome the hurt,fear and anger she has had to endure in her life to finally find the love and family she has longed for.......She finds it in three amazing brothers.....she just needs to let go of her fears and take what she wants....
Sidney Rowe's life has never been easy for her....from growing up in foster care where she was never given any type of love and affection to being tossed out into the streets when she turned of age to take care of herself....
She meets a man who she falls in love with and thinks she has found someone to build her family with.....things take a dramatic turn when she moves in with him....he becomes a different person then who she knew ....taking over all aspects of her life from who she is friends with to what clothes she wears....and then turns violently abusive, physically and mentally. She has no family to turn to ,no friends ,she is stuck In this life forced to take what he does to her...
Until the day he takes away something more precious to her then her own life...and in the end almost succeeds in killing her....
Sidney goes on the run hoping that Robert will never find her....after weeks on the run she lands in a little town called Apache Crossing....she needs work ,she decides to inquire on a bar tending job at Triple Shot....little does she know walking into that bar will change her life forever.....
Noah Dawson the youngest of the three brothers ....and the first to meet Sidney....Noah is the sweet and kind man the romantic ,he stands well over six feet tall with his longer curly brown hair and his eyes that are a beautiful aqua colour which show all of his emotion
He knows he wants her ....it doesn't matter that he just met her he knows she has secrets ,and knows he can't let her walk out of the bar, he has to have her in his life....and whatever secrets she has he wants to make them all go alway,protect her and love her forever....
Tyce Dawson the middle brother and also lead singer for the band Texas Knights which headlines at Triple Shot , he is the typical playboy with his shoulder length hair and his sapphire blue eyes he is sex on a stick....he is no stranger to woman falling all over him...and he has never wanted a serious relationship....But Sidney is different and he wants her for keeps....
And finally we have the eldest brother Xavier Dawson..... With his rugged good looks...from his tanned skin to the short buzzed hair and his ice blue eyes that can see straight into your soul, He is a Dominant man ,he needs to be in control, he wants Sidney to submit to him in the bedroom and he just prays that with the trauma she has been through that she will be able to. He hopes she can be that woman for him.....

Lori King is an amazing author. I have read her Gray Pack stories as well. Couldn't wait to read this ménage, non-shifter story and it did not disappoint at all. I began reading this book right before bed and found that I had to finish it that night.
Sidney Rowe has had a troubled past. Growing up in a foster homes due to a drug addicted mother, she has never had anyone but herself to rely on. She meets Robert, a charmer at first. Soon after they move in together he becomes very abusive. After years of torture at his hands, Sidney runs. She finds herself in Apache Crossing working at The Triple Shot.
Xavier, Tyce and Noah Dawson own The Triple Shot. They are former Marines and close brothers...so close in fact that they all fall for Sidney. Once they have met her, they know she is hiding something. Their protective instincts kick in and not only do they romantically want to be with her, they want to physically protect her.

I do love the way Lori King showed you the difference between abuse ( with Robert) and a Dominant, loving relationship (with Xavier). The characters are very real and the story needed to continue...I cannot wait for the next Apache Crossing book.

I absolutely loved this book! It reels you in and never lets you go. This is a beautiful story about a woman who overcomes the horror of domestic abuse to find herself worthy of love. This book leads you down a road full of twists and turns and all you can do is hold on for the ride; and it is one hell of a ride. Also if you have a nerdy side like me the Halloween costumes will make it stand up and yell “HELL YES!!”
Sidney is a beautiful, brave woman. She goes through hell and back and still comes out a selfless woman. She could have let herself become hateful and bitter after what Robert did to her instead she blossomed. I loved her and connected to her right away. I felt her pain and her joy.
The Brothers: Xavier is the most intense of the brothers. He is a Dom but doesn’t pressure Sidney to be what he wants. Tyce was to me the comical release. He made me laugh a lot i.e. he picked out the best Halloween costumes ever! He does push Sidney a little more than his brothers but I think it helped her out of her shell. Plus he was my favorite brother. Noah is the silent strong laid back brother. He seems to hover around Sidney and his presence seems to help her. He was the most patient and was willing to wait to pursue Sidney.
This book is insanely hot. Each scene was super steamy and yummy. Some ménages can be forced and seem fake but this one flowed and felt perfect. Each brother provided Sidney with something different that she needed.
I would HIGHLY recommend this book because it gave me such an emotional reaction. Lori King must have written her heart out because I could feel Sidney pain and heartbreak. I experienced such a whirlwind of emotions while reading it. I cried, laughed and then wanted to castrate Robert myself.

Wow. Just wow. First let me start by saying upon reading the blurb I knew I would have strong feelings about this book, and it did not disappoint. I loved it. I won’t bore you with a rehash of the blurb, by now you must have read that at the beginning of this post. So let’s skip to the good stuff.
I found myself cringing, rejoicing, laughing and crying right along with Sid. Ms. King really draws you into the meat and potatoes of this story. It was tantamount to watching a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. This heroine has not had an easy life and has all the insecurities to account for the hard knocks. The three brothers are a handful. I loved how Ms. King gave them all very separate views and personalities. What a mix too. The lover, the flirt and the Dom! I could not decide who I was most attached to. They were all great.
The town setting is a unique setting for all the couples who reside within. With the logic of they protect their own the townsfolk stood behind Sidney and welcomed her with open arms. I surely hope there is more to come about some of them.
The heat factor of this book is melt your kindle. I don’t think I will ever look or think of a stage in the same way again, or Hans Solo, Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. Once you read this delectable book, you will know just what I mean. And you must read this book!

I just visited the quaint little town of Apache Crossing which full of close knit residents that come together when needed and have a wonderful tolerance for the ‘different.’ Sidney’s Tripe Shot is a thrilling and passionate story that is tugs at the heart while setting fantasies aflame.
The characters are strong, captivating and easily connected to and draw readers into their sensual and compelling story as Sidney captures the attention and hearts of not one but three men, the brothers, Xavier, Tyce and Noah. The romance is sweet but full of emotional turmoil that captures the heart as Sidney tries to overcome the pain of the past, learn to trust and open up her heart and accept that she can have a happily ever after. And woohoo boy, are these three former marines sexy, protective and sweet! The story is fast paced and the romance alone is suspenseful and enthralling but when Sidney’s past catches up to her things get even more exciting.
Lori King has created a wonderful and erotic community that ensures that I will want to visit again and again. It’s spicy and sweet which makes reading a great pleasure and of course the sexual material in the book is hot and spicy which also makes Sidney’s Triple Shot very stimulating, so I can’t wait to read the next book in the Apache Crossing series.

Loved this Menage romance, it had great suspense, humour and strong personalities from the four main characters. There is a solid build up with their romantic and physical relationship, it was not rushed and was allowed to develop.
The three men, Xavier, Tyce and Noah all brought their own individuality to the relationship with Sidney. I loved how they all in their own way assisted Sidney in moving forward from her previous relationship.
The suspense story that revolved around Sidney's previous life provides great moments towards the end of the story. I would have loved for her story to end where it started but in a happy moment for her and the men, like a rebirth of such.

Lori King’s book is something outside the norm for this genre. It’s a sometimes grim and bitter look at the terrible price paid by those who are the victim of domestic violence.
Sidney’s tale isn’t a pretty one, instead it’s a story of one woman’s battle to escape an ugly life filled with abuse. Sidney sees herself as broken and unlovable, and it takes the love and concerted efforts of three devoted men to make her see that she is so much more.
Because of Sidney’s background and situation, there were times that I didn’t completely connect with her or understand some of her choices, but there was no doubt I was cheering for her to get the happy ending she and her three stalwart protectors deserved, and I stayed up until 2 am to make sure they got it.

This story quickly pulled me in and kept me turning the pages until the last one was turned. The characters are complex, interesting and believable. I particularly like that Sidney is strong, and determined. There is something for everyone in this story with suspense, a bit of action, steamy scenes, and a whole lot of romance. An enjoyable story.

This was okay. There was some hotness. I didn't really connect with any of the characters and I didn't particularly care for Sidney, but I was looking for a quick hot read, and this was it, so I'm not disappointed.

Sidney has finally gotten the courage to leave her abusive ex after he beat her bad enough that she lost the baby she was carrying. Xavier, Tyce and Noah own the bar in Apache Crossing and they hire Sidney to work for them when she moves to town. They're all three attracted to her but she is very skittish so they take their time trying to get to know her. Over time, Sidney falls for all three of them and when her story comes out, the guys vow to protect her. But her ex isn't through with her. When he comes after her, it takes her three men and a lot of the town to come to her rescue, but will it be in time? I loved this story when I first read it several years back. It's a re-release but with a new cover. If you haven't read this book, I HIGHLY recommend it!

This book was HOTT!! I was always a fan of Lori's, but this book just left me wanting more and more, and then delivered! The book is based about three brothers that own a bar, and one new bartender who is in serious need of some TLC. Trust, passion, and then a violence brings the story to life. There are so many fun and colorful people throughout the town that is draws you in and feels welcome. It is another hit! I am excited for the next one!

This is the first book I have read of Ms. King's , and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it....In my opinion the story was well written and the story line well developed...The pace of the story line was good, it wasn't 'rushed', for which I truly thank her, as there seem to be many that are....Looking forward to/and hoping there is a next installment...

Amazing story! Lori King has delivered a book that will play with your emotions and leave you warm and fuzzy. The perfect balance of action and romance mesh together to create an adventure that leaves you wanting more! I love the added little details that make you fall in love with each character. I am forever stuck with the shower scene in my fantasies! This is a must read!

What did I like?
The heroine was a strong, yet realistic character. I like that the overprotective heroes were more realistic due to their occasional screw-ups. I love the small town feel to the setting. I'm happy the villain was killed, monsters just need to be put down.

AWESOME!!! I'm a huge Lori King fan and this book was FANTASTIC what a wonderful start for this series Apache Crossing. I love the characters the storyline and all the HOT, SWEATY SEX. Talk about some hot men, keep something cool to drink beside you. BRAVO ms King for another FANTASTIC book

There were aspects of this book that were more enjoyable than others and whilst I would say that overall I enjoyed the read, that doesn’t mean that I was totally enamored with all of it or everyone in it.
Sidney had been through some trying times, her past was one that was littered with mistakes, misery and worst of all abuse but having reached rock bottom, she finally resolves to get free and make a difference to her own situation, and to escape the violence that has cost her so dearly.
Now, this I was fully on board with but she sort of lost me a little along the way as I took exception to some of her actions. Don’t get me wrong, I wanted her to get a happy ending, lord only knows that she deserved it but I was praying that she would find herself along the way and I am not 100% certain that she did. Anyway, that is all just my opinion, so back to the story.
When she eventually ends up in Apache Crossing, with nothing and knowing nobody, she could have had little understanding of just how much her life would change, nor how quickly and again it was the speed with which everything happened that had me scratching my head. It was obvious that Xavier, Tyce, and Noah were keen on her and I liked that the author portrayed them as good guys, men that understood that she was someone that they had to be patient with and believe me they were but the scenario that she was getting into was one that I would have like to have had a little more time getting to grips with, after all, it isn’t every day you hook up with three guys.
I liked the fact that all three of the guys were willing to show not only passion but compassion when it came to Sidney, that they were willing to work hard to prove to her that despite what she thought she was someone they wanted to be able to love completely. It was a far from easy task because with Sidney they had turn around so much pain and negativity, to show her that she could love them because she could love herself too.
As you would expect though, not everything is smooth sailing and her ex had done a real number on her not just physically but moreover emotionally and unfortunately for her…he wasn’t done yet. But he had more than just Sidney to contend with when he turned up, because no matter what his plan was, there was more than just Xavier, Tyce and Noah, ready to step up to the plate to fight for her, she had a town that was willing to rally to her aid …the only questions was; were their efforts all in vain?
I thought the book read well, the pace was at times a little on the speedy side but that didn’t deter me. I liked the guys, although at times I just couldn’t help but wonder…. how? Well written this was a short read that allowed me to indulge in a situation that I had not encountered before and learning something new is never a bad thing, so for that, I would say this comes recommended.
