Tercer cómic de la franquicia "Alien", editado originalmente por Dark Horse en 1990. Historia que continúa inmediatamente después de la segunda miniserie y da cierto cierre a los cómics escritos por Mark Verheiden para la franquicia "Alien".
En esta ocasión, Ripley, Newt y Hicks se aventuran en una apoteósica misión final: reunir a la gran reina Alien y a sus hijitos de la Tierra, para luego destruirlos todos juntos como en una fallida reunión familiar. Para ello, primero tendrán que viajar al mundo génesis de estos bichos de sangre ácida (Ripley sabe el rumbo a tomar gracias a un "sueño" que tuvo) y atrapar a la gran mamá. Después tendrán que llevarla a la Tierra y detonar unas bombas nucleares que habían sido instaladas con anterioridad. Obvio que en el medio se cruzarán con miles de bichitos malhumorados. Pan comido.
En esta historia, el protagonismo pasa a Ripley y Newt, dejando a Hicks como segundón. Newt sigue con su obsesión respecto a la salvación de la niña Amy que está en la Tierra, y Ripley está obstinada en llegar al planeta génesis de los Aliens y hacerle frente a la reina.
Se explotan un poco más algunos temas esbozados en las otras miniseries: la obsesión con la tarea de destrucción de los Aliens, el engaño, la conexión psíquica entre extraterrestres y humanos, y no mucho más. Estos temas se sienten desdibujados, como trabajados ligeramente, tal vez porque ya estaban algo agotados. Los dibujos de Sam Kieth están muy bien, como es la costumbre de este artista. Es llamativa la disparidad visual que hay entre los dibujos de cada cómic de la trilogía.

Direct sequel to Aliens movie. Pretty much the same exact thing, only instead of colony, our guys should visit the Derelict ship. The rest is exactly the same - most of the people got eaten, the rest escape. End of the story. Boring, predictable (a regular bad guy is included in the group), useless. Also, Mark Verheiden keeps turning Ripley into the freakin' Terminator, who knows more about the weapons than proper soldiers. How? Well, who cares, huh? People want Rip, they've got Rip.

Resulta interessant que el còmic agafi la premissa i els personatges de les dues primeres pel·lis per fer-ne una mena de seqüela.

Haig de reconèixer que el dibuix dels personatges no m'agrada gaire, i que no he connectat gens amb la reinterpretació de la Ripley. En canvi, sí que gaudeixo quan surten els aliens o les naus espacials, que inevitablement porten records de les versions cinematogràfiques. A veure cap a on ens durà.

This book certainly doesn't reinvent the wheel, retreading a lot of Aliens but with a nice little dash of the first Alien.

The beautiful art really sets this apart. Especially when compared to the more modern Marvel stuff.

Best Covers of any Aliens Series to date (including the 2023 magnificant Marvel Issues). Story and inside art, not as good, but a satisfactory side adventure from canon.

I like the story, it is a decent idea. But the art is just plain ugly. Ripley looks like some cheap pin up tattoo.

A lesson that we WILL NOT LEARN, no matter how many times our faces get eaten.

The Top Brass gets big promotions, while hapless marines get splattered all over the surface of some dark, rocky planet.

Then, of course, we bring the eggs back with us...
