I as many others has gotten this ARC from Netgally! yay!
Also, i didn't know this was a series before...i added it on GR? i think?
But i also believe this is ok to read as a standalone so to speak since we get information here and there, throughout the book.
Sometimes this book had me groaning and wanting to just nope the hell out, it was alot of hate going on here, hate for her mother, hate for the lunar court hate hate and being pissed off... But then she became happy...and i became happy, you f ...more

I requested this e-arc being unaware that Lunar Court was actually a part of the Alpha Girl series; the number eight installment to be exact. I was lucky enough the book could be read as a standalone without making me feel lost or overwhelmed by the events that took place in its predecessors.

I received a free ARC from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I can honestly say I was super hyped for this book as soon as I finished the previous one in the series. Then time went by, because the author was not yet ready to release this book. So when I finally got approved for this book I was as pumped as I should have been. Oh was I wrong, this book was so good. I missed not getting enough of my other characters but getting more of Van, Chris, and Cosette, and oh a l ...more

Omg omg OMG. I just love this series. Aileen is a genius and I am so lucky to have been asked to review it.
I want to say what the book is about. I really do but I feel that I will take the fun and mystery from the reader. So therefore grab book one and binge reading it. It’s amazing. Thank me later. You are welcome dear reader.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I had NO IDEA that this was the 8th book in this series. NONE!!! I saw the cover and description and was like, "heck yeah, I wanna read this!" Thank goodness the author didn't make me feel like I missed...EVERYTHING...I actually followed along really well and enjoyed this!!! Please keep this in mind when you read my review...I'm pretty sure my opinion on characters will be different than others.

Last summer I read and weirdly enjoyed Aileen Erin's Alpha Girl series, so when I had an opportunity to read the latest installment in that series as an ARC, I took it, despite the fact that I rarely read ARCs (way more pressure/commitment than I'm usually interested in).
So yes, these are werewolf books. I don't do a lot of paranormal reading because most of it tends to be too angsty/sexy/plain creepy, but sometimes you find a series that works, and I feel that way about Alpha Girl. I really lik ...more

***BOOK REVIEW***
Lunar Court by Aileen Erin
(Alpha Girl #8)
I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
I love these characters so much, the interactions and character development were absolutely on point. The world building was also outstanding however I found the plot a little lacklustre and slow to climax. I could have done with a little more excitement earlier on.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think this one was my favorite yet!!! How do they just keep getting better???
Cosette is a fey princess--a flaming-sword wielding, kick butt and take names later kind of fey princess, who wants nothing to do with the fey Lunar Court but is bound to it by blood. Chris is a werewolf with a battered childhood. Controlled by the moon, he can't be bound to the Lunar Court without becoming a slave.

Title: Lunar Court
Author: Aileen Erin
Genre: YA/ paranormal
Rating: 4 out of 5
Chris is the funniest, sweetest boy Cosette’s ever met. Despite the trauma he’s suffered, he still manages to brighten up everyone around him—even when he’s fighting a chapel full of demons. He’s exactly what Cosette needs in her life. He’s also a werewolf—and she’s from the Lunar Court, the only fey court with control over the werewolves, so she knows they can’t be together.

I originally marked the Lunar Court as a DNF because it felt like I missed too much in the previous books to continue it. I planned on reading the rest of the series first and then coming back to the lunar court. However, I got a nagging feeling that I should keep going after posting my original review and I'm so glad I did. The novel picked up its pace and I could not put it down from that point on. The story deepens and the characters become more intense. The author began to weave in flashback

Aileen Erin’s LUNAR COURT is a creative addition to the Alpha Girl series. Cosette searches for Chris after he goes missing at the end of book seven. The two have feelings for each other, but a relationship between them would not work, because he is a werewolf, and she is a princess of the Lunar court. Chris would be enslaved by the Lunar Court fey who have the power to control the moon, unless he can find a way to break his lunar tie.

I really enjoyed the depth of the characters. The world building was a little lacking for me however. This might have not been the case however if I had not started with book eight. Even so this is a great stand alone story.

I want to thank Netgalley for providing me with this book in exchange for my honest review.
I really enjoyed this book.
I didn’t realise this was the 8th in the series I haven’t read the other books.
However i actually really liked this book. It was a bit slow to start but when it picked up it was amazing!
I loved the characters and the relationships they had with each other.
I’ll defiantly be picking up the other books in this series.

Best paranormal YA book of the summer! This is my first Alpha Girls book and I really enjoyed the "he said, she said" aspect with each chapter. Both characters were so richly developed and you don't have to know the back story to enjoy or understand what is going on. Aileen Erin does an excellent job of set the scene and taking this story all the way through. I was happy and sad, excited and enraged. It was excellently written and enticed me to not only look up the other stories from this series

Erin took us for a spin on this latest installment in the Alpha Girl Series. It is a departure, but one many have been waiting for. I for one have longed to see more of Chris and the Fae. She does a wonderful job of incorporating their backstories into the plot line. Despite that fact that it felt different, because it was different... solely focused on a one werewolf and the various Fae, her signature style was as brilliant as ever. Get your seatbelt on and keep all hands in the vehicle, you ar

Oh my ghods. The mains are cardboard cutouts. The depiction of the fey is frankly absurd. The plot is literally deus ex machina!! There are better romances on the dime rack at the gas station. Just ... yuck.

Wow ok. So I asked for this book and it turns out to be the 8th in the series. I hadn’t read the others. Ignoring that fact.
The book was actually really good. It kept my attention though it starts a little slow, and very confusing (8th book) the author conveys the characters personality traits very well. Even though I haven’t read the previous books in the series I didn’t feel overly lost. She shows bonds formed over time and not instantly which I think makes this very special. Lol so I didn’t realize this was the 8th book in the series and I hadn’t read the other 7. Regardless, the book was enjoyable I love the characters, Eli reminds me of the Cheshire Cat. I love the bonds between the characters, how their pasts bring them together and help cement the bind further. I’m going to have to read the other 7.

I adore Aileen Erin’s writing style...
Aileen Erin is a talented writer, whose character development is second to none. Her ability to make the reader a part of the story is incredible. I’ve enjoyed all of her books and look forward to future stories that she has to tell ..please keep writing forever

I love Aileen Erin and the alpha girl series, so I was ecstatic this book, 8th in the series is just as good as all its predecessors. The love story between Chris and Cosette is so adorable. I loved getting to know Chris better and was also happy as I hadn’t found Cosette that likeable in previous books, but we really get to know her here and her motivations. Amazing plot, emotional at times and plenty of twists and turns. Another great read from Ms. Erin .

I've loved all of Aileen Erin's books but my all time favorite has always been the first Alpha Girl book, until now. I laughed, I cried and I couldn't put this book down. The love story between Cosette and Chris was awesome. Chris has been one of my fav characters throughout but I found Cosette a bit standoffish when her character was introduced I believe in the second book of the series. Boy was I wrong! You have to project strength when you're a Fey Princess. The epicness of this couple almost

This world is wonderfully engaging. I am in love with all the characters for different reasons. In this book we get to see behind the scenes with Chris and Cosette.
Along the way (and, really, you should start from the beginning), we have seen little hints and teases about Chris and Cosette. Cosette is a secret powerhouse of sorts.
