This book is a favorite in our house with our grandchildren. I bought it because it has such a sweet message and it just a fun book to read with children. As our grandchildren have grown, they read it along with us. When the grandchildren have spent the night we would read this book as we are tucking them into bed and over time they had the book memorized. It is fun with its silliness, but the message is forever priceless. I have recommended this book to several people. I give this book as a baby gift to new parents.

This isn't really a story. Each page presents a silly passage of love. For example:
You're my wiggly worm
My busy little bee
My silly goose
My moosey-moose
My monkey up a tree
Each page is like this.

The illustrations are nice. Each page also has a series of lights that illuminate and music that plays. This is nice for little children, but isn't a story as much as a sensory display.

Summary: This silly rhyming book is meant for parents to read with their child, almost like a love letter. It calls the child little "pet" names and compares their love for the child with things like a peanut butter sandwich. It's a favorite of children because of the silliness, lights, and music that plays in the background when opened. There is also a heart cut-out to place the child's picture. The joy it brings my daughter when we read it makes me enjoy reading it to her, although I find it almost too silly.

Lesson ideas: Read aloud, then make up your own similes for each other's love.

Themes: silly, rhyming, love, parent/child

This book is awesome! :-D For the most part, something about the words and their syntax just really works for me, and I find this little book of affirmation to be both fresh and very sweetly told. It sort of reminds me of a nice warm hug from a person you'd really like to have hug you.
Awesome, just awesome.

2 stars from Mom; 5 stars from Oscar because every time he opens up the book it plays a song complete with flashing lights. Plus who doesn't like a book with a photo of himself in it? Thanks Grandmarmie!

Great for a parent to read to the child. I love the poetry and the love conveyed by the words. This is a board book with lights and sounds. But I'd remove the battery to keep the noise down. This is a book I would love to read with my child.

This book is a favorite of my son's. It lights up once you open the book, and plays music. The phrases are all nicknames (silly and not so silly) that you can give your child. A wonderful message on the last page.

This is a sweet bedtime book. Not too long and full of cute rhymes. Your little ones will be interested because there is a pocket to put a picture of themselves, it lights up and plays music. It has several food references so my 16 month old was very very interested.

I think this is a really good book for parents to read to their children, especially before they begin school or a new sibling is added into the family. This book makes the individual child feel special and loved, almost like the story "The Kissing Hand."

Addie's favorite thing about this book is the fact that it plays music and my favorite thing about it is that there's a switch to turn the music off. :-P

This is a good book for a mom to read to her child with many descriptive reasons as to why she loves them so very much.

My daughter really enjoys this book. It's fun to read. I generally leave the sound off because the music doesn't fit well with the cadence of the words.
