Nothings rougher than a Canadian winter . . . except maybe one that never ends!

As winter fallout reaches its peak, Flavie is once again forced to leave her comfortable life to help her friend Marco. Braving the cold, shes pulled into a quest for cough syrup that will take her and her snowmobile all the way out to the dreaded, out-of-bounds Mount-Royal Park, where a group

While this felt a little short and not quite as focused, I still really enjoyed it. I can't quite put my finger on it but it reminds me so much of Giant Days in Montreal with mutants. It just has that same sense of fun and whimsy I guess.

Happy Thursday!

Today has just been a day! It's been a day of chaos and mini-crisis that could have been averted with just a bit of communication (you all know the kind I am talking about) and it has just made me tired. Which is why I am planning to just curl up tonight in front of all my pretty Christmas decorations and lights with a big mug of hot chocolate and try to relax. That relaxing may take place in the form of reading (I am trying to finish The Lost Hero before the end of the year but I

Still really enjoying this series. Just a lovely, cosy slice of life story.

Perfect thing for reading in bed, when the nights are drawing in.

Not a lot happening in this volume. Basically Flavie trying to get cough syrup for annoying Marco while her sister is in town. The first volume was much stronger.
Also: What happened to her boyfriend? I would have liked to see her ditching his lazy ass, actually.
Moving on to volume three which looks more promising.

Flavie continues to be the adorable hard working courier we met in the previous volume. In this arc, we meet Flavies sister whos back from California, and wants to reconnect with her sister. This series is light and cute which makes this an enjoyable read. I like that we got some character development for Flavie when she admitted that she missed her family and her choice to hold on to the hurt of her parents divorce has isolated and stunted her growth. By the end of the volume, Flavie gets a ...more

In this sequel to last year's Vol 1 we meet Flavie's younger sister. This opens the door to learn more about the rest of Flavie's family and the dynamic between them. It sheds a lot light on her character and why she is the way she is. I continue to enjoy this series and am looking forward to finding out what happens next!

I liked it even more than the first. This one focuses on Flavie's family and the repercussions of a nuclear winter.

This was a decent enough graphic novel that I borrowed from the library. I didn't enjoy it as much as the first one, but it was still pretty good.

This volume was okay, but I didn't enjoy it as much as volume 1!

It was nice seeing more of Flavie and her family life, especially with her younger sister- I can relate to that grouchy older sister vibe Flavie has going.

I'm a sucker for family storylines, although I do think Elsie was a bit unfair to Flavie. I understand Flavie completely, with the not feeling like you belong within your family after being away from them for so long. Once you live apart from them for the first time, you really

Soo cuuuute! Definitely a great continuation, but I want more! The ending felt like a weird mix of open and closed and I can't figure out if this is going to continue or not. I really really hope so because I love all the characters and the oddities of a post-apocalyptic, nuclear Montreal.

Very very nice!
