It hasn’t even been two years since I first published Los Chocolates but I felt it was time for a rewrite.

I loved this book. I speak Spanish and have visited Belize and Guatemala. It was so nice to recognize the sweet shops that all belong to Doña someone-or-other. The little bit of magic made this completely endearing. It was well written and feels like a story that would be told by the matriarch of a family full of women. The novella format was perfect for this story. I hope that others will give this a chance and support an author getting started. I’m so glad I found it.

David is a retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant who didn't realize until reaching his forties that he was a writer. As a child, he struggled with learning disabilities which yielded him grades that barely earned him his high school diploma. With marks like that, the thought of being an author never occurred to him. Also, college was out of the question. He joined the military and retired 23 year ...more
