Hades Rising by Aden Polydoros is a prequel novella that is a part of the young adult Assassin Fall thriller series and is currently a free ebook on Amazon. The series involves a bunch of teenagers that have been secretly trained to become assassins through the Pandora Project.

Hades Rising takes a step back from what happened in Project Pandora and has started readers out as the teens are being taught in the Academy. The story alternates the view between two best friends in the academy only know

I am completely fine 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

tw: gruesome injury and death, corporal punishment

I was given this novella by the author, Aden Polydoros. This, in no way, affected my review of this book.

Where do I even begin? Should I talk about the pain I feel in my chest? Should I talk about the straight glee I felt while reading? Should I talk about how I want to rush home and get my copy of Project Pandora so I can re-read it? (Spoiler alert: I found my copy immediately and it's currently sitting on my end table, waiting to be read) How c

Project Pandora was hands down one of my most compelling reads last year, and I couldn't wait to get my hands on this novella.  At least it will tide me over for a while until Project Prometheus is released.  Maybe (but I doubt it).

Hades is my favorite character in Project Pandora - he's cunning, dangerous, and a trained killer, but underneath all that lies a boy who's been hurt many times over and desensitized to nearly every emotion.  Hades Rising explains his evolution from a young child into

I already had the volume 1 but I preferred to read this prequel before. The cover is beautiful, above the title there is a catch phrase as on all books in this series but not the same each time on this book there: "You have been chosen" and we see Two and Nine run as if he were running away.

It all starts when Two and Nine are held in isolation to be trained to go beyond the Academy. Except that Nine decides to leave, Two meets her future without her is nothing, he will prepare a plan to escape

Hades Rising is the gritty YA novella, you never knew you needed. A mix of great writing (lot of imagery) and fast-paced plot. So, I highly recommend this novella!!

Hades Rising is a great backstory novella for Hades. I like that we are able to see how he comes to be so violent and more of his relationship with Elizabeth. I definitely recommend reading this if you enjoyed Hades in Project Pandora. Or if you want to see more of the inner workings of the Academy. I can’t wait to read Project Prometheus when it releases this August!

HADES RISING grabs you from the very beginning and doesn't let go. It's packed with action and suspense. While most YA books are written with teenage girls in mind, this novella appeals to both sexes. The chapters alternate between a male and a female characters' point-of-view. You'll never think about paintball the same way again.

Love this peek into the past that allows us to see the final months of Hades and Elizabeth's time at the Academy as it happened (although it was admittedly hard to read in parts). Made me ache for Hades even more, especially knowing how differently things could have turned out for him :-(

If you were in love with Project Pandora (and Hades) pick this book up! A thrilling read that gives insight in to why Hades is the 'villainous' character that he is. Not too mention the writing is superb. I've already read it twice 😏. Its truly a thrilling, dark, gritty read

Normally, dark YA fantasy is not my thing. But Aden Polydoros has created a great thriller series that transcends the genre. Hades is the most fascinating character in the whole Assassin Fall series, and the book Hades Rising takes a deep dive into the occurrences in Hades's life that made him who he became. This boy is trained to be a warrior and assassin but undergoes years of torture until he loses himself in his assassin persona. Still, there is a deep humanity in Hades struggling to break f ...more
