I think that everyone should read this book. Our church gave it free to everyone in the congregation. I put off reading it for awhile thinking that financies are not fun at all! I loved it and plan on instituting alot of the ideas and hope to pay off the house in 3 years!

Fast read. Very basic financial advice. Not much depth to any of the material. As a Christian, I really wish he would have gone into some theological depth.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It is incredibly motivational!

I would advise someone who is need of a financial overhaul to start with reading this book. It will get your mind and spirit where it needs to be to begin living God's way financially!

Then consider taking a more comprehensive class/small group. This book comes with a 6 week group study workbook. I've not gone through it yet, but we plan to start as a church in the fall.

I've have gone through Financial Peace University (Dave Ramsey) 3 times since 2010. Once as a student and twice now as co/coordinator. And I know that the classes are more instructional and practical--giving step by step instruction on what to do. I'm hopeful that the New ABC's small group class will be just as helpful!

Very helpful. Much of the information is the same or similar to other great financial books from Mary Hunt, Dave Ramsey or Larry Burkett. But I really appreciated the perspective and analogies that were offered in this book. The author gave his own examples which made the information real and doable. Bottom line, what we do with our finances is a heart/control issue, not a money issue. This book is changing the way I think about finances.

Easily applicable, very practical. Biblically based. I don't agree 100% with every statement, when he speaks of gambling, for instance. I believe money takes on the intention of the owner, and we can't question where/how people gained it - we receive tithes and offerings from the gift of another's heart, not for us to judge the manner acquisistion. Only God knows that.

I am a member of the Crossroads Christian Church where Pastor Barry is the senior pastor he is a wonderful man who is who has led our Church out of debt and his own family. So this book is for anyone who is willing to go out, apply it, and do the same.

Taught this for our church. It's very straightforward and could be really hard for someone who isn't a mature believer. I felt like the concepts were incredible, but I had to soften it a bit for those I was teaching.

This book is good for the basic elementary foundation of finances. Very basic and a fast read, I felt most of this type of information you could easily find on financial blogs.

Very basic introduction to why you should be good with your money without presenting any plan on how to improve your financial situation.
