This is a delightful historical romance with a paranormal and festive seasonal twist! Lady Mallory Hughes is a debutante with a difference - yes, she has a large dowry, but the difference is that she is psychic and often "sees" the future when she touches someone. Her father and brother look on this as a curse and have kept her hidden away with her aunt who has a similar talent. Now, however, they have arranged for her to marry Silas Anson, who has recently inherited the impoverished earldom of ...more

I received a copy from the author for an honest review.

I always love the books I get from Christina. I love the world she builds so effortlessly. In this book, I loved the new twist she gives to our Lady Mallory. It’s something new she added to one of her books. She keeps true to her historical roots but adds a bit of fun to it

Bound by the Christmastide Room by Christina McKnight is a quick read, a Novella. Originally published in Kissed at Christmas (Castle Keyvnor Collection)

I love Christmas stories, and this author brought the spirit and magic of Christmas together with this brilliantly written tale of two strangers, their secrets and an arranged marriage. The cast of characters are charming, engaging and believable. The plot was fantastic, a lady who can predict the the future and a gentleman who needs her dowry.

I'm really enjoying all the Christmas stories I've been reading lately and this one is no exception. Christina McKnight does a wonderful job with Silas and Mallory's story and I just loved both their characters.

Silas is such a wonderful man and even with his quirky family giving him all kinds of fits, he loves them unconditionally. He needs money, though, to protect his siblings and estate. As for Mallory, she has "the sight" and because of it, her family have mostly hidden her from the world.

I am a huge Christina McKnight fan. I love Regency romance and I love holiday books. Combine an arranged marriage and a little bit of a twist involving psychic abilities and you have a short wonderful read.

I loved Silas and Mallory, and they were wonderful together. Both were as the old song goes "a couple of misfits." Silas because of his unusual family situation and Mallory because of her "ability." That ability has her seeing the death of her betrothed. and though they don't know each other

This beautifully written story packed full of deep emotions and hopefulness caused this reader to read the book in one sitting. It's the perfect Christmas romance book.

The thing about Silas that impressed me the most was his strong character and his love for his family. The author's does an outstanding job of showing Silas' desires to protect his family. Meanwhile, how he goes about getting what he wants keeps this story on the sweet warm

I was excited about the plot: Mallory can see the future! and she sees her betrothed's dead. But... It didn't live up to my expectations. It had a good start maybe half the book but from there it went down, therefore a little boring. I just felt there were some things I was supposed to know, for example regarding Molly's friend, Felicity, or Silas' family. I even checked if this was part of a series.

About the protagonists, I rarely like more the girl than the guy but in this case I

This is a sweet, romantic and engaging story. Silas is kind, charming, sweet and interesting. Mallory is caring, lonely and determined. Silas grew up in France, but went back to England to take over his late father's title. Upon learning that he is broke, he takes his estate managers advice to marry a girl with money, and leaves it to the manager to arrange a marriage. Mallory has been banished to live with her aunt because she gets visions, so she jumps at the chance to marry and escape the ...more

Christina McKnight creates wonderful stories that have a little added surprise and this story is no different. This is the story of an arranged marriage between two strangers who are both trying to hide secrets. Silas is determined to protect and provide for his 2 siblings but in order to do that he must marry money. Mallory has always wanted to be loved and have a family but her family has kept her hidden because of her gift and now she must hide her gift because she fears it will end her ...more

This was a very well book written by Christtins McKnight and I enjoyed reading this book. Secrets, a young man inheriting a title and no money, a young lady with her own secrets, a best friend, a old castle with family, a young foolish brother and sister and an engagement and finding unexpected love. There is more to read and if this book intrigues you, buy the book and enjoy reading it as much as I did. Enjoy

Boring at first but alright after the half.

My other comments:
- Ladies used reticule in the Regency period, not handbag. If they are the same thing, then the handbags were called reticules during that era.
- Shouldn't be cloaks taken off and left at the entrance? I don't think it's polite to dampen the house owner's upholstered furniture.
- Silas shouldn't baby his twin brother and settle all his debts. Let him grow up on his own.

An interesting twist on a holiday romance. Everyone has a secret, some more complex than others, but it's good when this couple finally open up to each other and realize they are a perfect match. Interesting characters, even the secondary cast, make this novella a delightful read.

Bound by the Christmastide Moon is a sweet gothic romance with a touch of the paranormal. The narrator does a good job reading the story, though her vocal range is a little limited.

I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest and voluntary review.

I have read quite a few of Christina’s books over the years and I always enjoy them because they are a bit shorter and always sweet.

Bound by the Christmastide Moon is no different, and again I am loving the added paranormal to the story. In this case, Lady Mallory has visions. See, we are not talking about vampires and werewolves here.

In this story, we have Silas who inherited a nearly destitute estate and well we all know the drill he needs to marry a lady with a good dowry.

Pretty usual theme,
