This book arms the reader with some great knowledge about the urinary system, with emphasis on the woman's urinary tract. She has been adamant in finding out all she can about the urinary system and has shared this information with the reader in a way that educates and enables. One thing I learned that was particularly insightful was the fact that problems with the spinal column can lead to bladder problems due to nerve damage. Also, this doctor seeks to correct problems with the least invasive and safest methods.

I first heard from this author during a TV program. She is a physician, who had Intersitial Cystitis, and could not find a diagnosis, or treatment.
It is full of helpful hints on taking care of your bladder difficulty with diet, minerals, vitamins, and helpful hints on managing pain. I have been able to heal without surgery twice by using this book. This has been after 2 surgeries for Interstitial Cystitis. Great information!

January 27, 2021Read in 1996, when I wrote: I heard a rumor that the author is in trouble for some of her invasive approaches. But the information on women and doctors, and on women's urological concerns (including interstitial cystitis and "nonspecific urethritis" are good. Take her specific recommendations with a grain of salt. [More than a grain now, 20+ years later.]

Recommend this to any gal with bladder issues, particularly on-going undiagnosed pain. It will help you.
