This novella was not was I expected at all. It's light-hearted, and makes you smile but there is enough angst, drama, and steamy moments to make you not want to put it down once you start reading.

This is the first work from Jetta Frame I have ever read but I will definitely be reading more. This story has so much heart to it. The characters have so much depth to them and it makes it easy to care about them and get caught up in the angst they are going through. Jack O'Riley is so broken by his experiences in life, and Alice in her innocence is the right person to heal him.

This is listed as erotica at Amazon and yes it has scenes of steamy sex but this should not be judged by that alone. There is so much more to this short read. I highly recommend this.

Let me start by saying this book was NOT what I expected. I expected more of a quick jump to steam and then more and more steamy scenes. Don't get me wrong - there is PLENTY of steam, but there is so much more to this story than just the physical gratification of the typical quickie you might expect. This is truly a romantic read with wonderfully flawed and endearing characters who crawl into your heart and refuse to leave. I found myself CARING about them in ways I don't always feel for characters in the books I read. I highly recommend this story and am eagerly looking forward to reading more from this author.

Jack has been a loner for some time but when he rescues Alice from a bad situation with her co-worker everything changes for him. Alice has been watching Jack from a distance because of rumors she has heard about him but when he steps in and saves her she knows that he is a good man. When her mother has her take food over to him as a way to thank him for his help Alice jumps to go see him. Jack tries to keep Alice at arms length but she isn't letting that happen and slowly other people are getting to see what she sees in Jack. Will Jack finally give in and claim Alice like he wants to?

This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Jack and Alice is sensually sweet. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any of my book friends.

I have long hesitated for this story. The beginning is on the brink, then the end is rather slow. So I ended up slightly disappointed. The naive girl who discovers herself to a man tormented by his past is a little cliché, but finally, it's ok because it's rather well written and the characters can have temperament. It's really the second part of the book that was less interesting.
Alice is saved from an attempted rape by her new neighbor, Jack, who is traumatized by his experience in the military and thinks he doesn't deserve to be happy, or have strings with anyone. Alice manages to go beyond Jack's limits before he stops this relationship almost immediately.

This is the first book of Jetta Frame's I've read and was pleasantly surprised. A quick and easy read, "Commando" is a light hearted, feel good, HEA that will leave you smiling. There's just enough angst and drama to build a storyline that includes romance and steamy sex scenes. A book well worth recommending and an author worth following.

I really enjoyed this book, I was sad when it was over.
Jack saves Alice, he doesn't have many friends, Alice has some unwanted ones; they manage to become friends although they know they shouldn't. It's cute, this story. He lights her body up with sex that she's never thought about let alone lived. Eventually, looking out for her, he tells her to go and that's the end of them and the story.

The cover

Okay I really only have 2 things to complain about in this 1, I wish there was more of a chase. I like the will they won't they trope but it didn't go on very long here and most importantly the cover. The male love interest is described as "mocha skinned" and "dark as flint" so WHY is there a white dude on the cover?????

A very short well written steamy and sexy read. It has over the top chemistry and passion in it. The virgin and the sexy neighbour. Captivating and engaging read with well described characters. Could have been longer but a hot read.

I tried to like this, but, the grammar and punctuation errors on this kept pulling me out of the story. The characters were one-dimensional. The dialog was stilted and dry. I can't even give this a single star.

Wow

I love book. But the girl was a little to naive. There was one mistake that I saw. But it was a good read.

Pretty OK read.

This is a good read, although I don’t really like the innocent trope that Alice is too much. Overall it is a good story.

Though it was steamy, this book wasn't very well written. Jetta Frame frequently switched tense (past and present) and other grammatical issues. The story itself got a bit better near the end, but with the writing as it was, it wasn't as enjoyable as it could've been. Regardless, upon finishing the book, I found myself downloading the next book in the series and starting it. I feel that I should choose a different book/author to go with though. With all of the books out there to read, I don't think I'd recommend this one when there are so many others much more well written. The book features a HEA ending with no cliffhanger.
