I give the story 4.5/5 bees.

The author sent me a review request through the contact us link of this blog. I did agree to review the book and make room for this because this is an ARC. This is a story about a woman who have abandonment issues and who was dumped in front of a lot of people in a family gathering at his boyfriend's house. Then, she meets real estate mogul in the club she works for and their attraction and chemistry is undeniable. Why this story is called Electric Impulse is explaine

Impulsive Actions

This was a good read. I didn't particular care for the back and forth actions. It was fairly easy to adapt to the style of writing. The plotlines were easy to follow and the expectations were easily met.

The characters were not fully developed. We learned more about Sebastian and his family of snakes.
We didn't know much at all about the main characters, Aria Davenport and Phoenix Prescott. Their first meeting started well enough but ended on a poor note. Most black women wouldn't

Electric IMPULSE: Love, Life & Sex is Book One introducing an adult romance series and Aria Davenport, who believes her life is on a set trajectory to a predictable course of college, marriage to her beau, and a happily-ever-after conclusion. Unfortunately, life has a way of thwarting even the best-laid plans, as Aria discovers when her fiancée dumps her the day before her college graduation just as she's on the cusp of realizing all her dreams.

Sent into a tailspin over the sudden derailing

Love, Life, and Sex. Definitely! This book had all of that and more. The characters were fun, sassy, loving, frustrating, and hatable. I found Aria and her girls to be the most fun to read and get to know. They are sassy, funny, and strong women. I love that about all of them. Aria had a few meltdowns, but that was understandable with all that she went through to find her man. Mia and Penelope, were fun to read. They are strong women who know what they want out of life and go for it.

Phoenix starts off on the wrong foot with Aria. She is working overtime at a bar, and he drunkenly gets angry with her for not kissing him. Aria just thinks that she is another one of those typical customers and tries to erase him from her memory. She already has enough issues with her ex-boyfriend getting together with his "best friend" one day after she misses their date for work.

When Phoenix comes back into her life, apologetic, she starts a whirlwind romance with him. Everything seems fine,

Electric Impulse is a fun, emotional read that takes you on so many ups and downs. I'll admit, it took me a minute to get into this story but when I did I was hooked! Aria is such a strong woman who has a few vulnerable points yet continues to succeed in being the baddest bish around. After a humiliating break up she starts a friendship that quickly becomes more with Phoenix. Phoenix is good for Aria, at first. He brings out so much in her and Aria and you will fall in love with him. But secrets ...more

I’m going to give this 4 stars for the writing of this novel, because I do have to say that it was incredibly well done, though for me it was tough to get into. It’s not often too, we have stories with characters of minorities, and for that, I applaud the author greatly.
Aria and Phoenix have a chemistry that’s totally undeniable and red hot. That had to be my favorite part of this book. It was definitely a classic girl meets billionaire playboy- which is always a tough genre to make interesting

Electric Impulse: Love, Life & Sex (Book One) by Angel Hilson is a romance for fans who love it sizzling and character-driven, and it's fair to indicate that it's a book written for mature readers. Aria Davenport has just received the worst rejection of her life and in a way that is most humiliating. The day before her graduation, Sebastian, the man she'd dreamed of spending her life with, dumps her in front of everyone at the family gathering. Just when she thinks she'll never have anything ...more

What a ride

I give this 4.5 stars only because their were a lot of editing errors. The writing style and the fact that the story was told by the heroine was somewhat challenging at times. The premise of the story was captivating. The story was filled with drama but overall it was a good read. Looking forward to catching up with Ari and Phoenix.

Wow!!

I enjoyed how the author introduced the characters and how she truly dealt with love, life & sex. I can normally predict and ending but this one has so many twist & turns I stayed up reading until after 1 AM just to find out how it really ended. This was my first read by this author and she did a great job. I would probably warn readers of the sexual content😳

Wow

This was a good book I hope there's more to this story as well as mia and the friends. I wonder what Shelia has to say now that he's filed for real and what the wife will think when she finds out he's having a baby with someone younger than her and she works for him. So many twists to this story you can take it at any angle and run with it.

Good romance with some twists

This was a first time read by this author. The story had a lot of details and emotions with a few twists. I wasn't over excited about the ending, it was kind of a simple wrap up with no real conclusion that pulled you back or left you wanting more.
Overview. Aria was finishing up her last week in college. She worked at the club Lotus. While working the VIP area she meets Phoenix Prescott the reality King. He gets too drunk and insults Aria. The next day she gets cal

Very Good Book

When Aria falls in love she falls hard.I was mad at what her so called boyfriend Sebastian did to her. She then meets Phoenix. Why didn't he just tell Aria he was married. Enjoyed reading this book. Looking forward to reading more from you.

This is the first book I have read by this author. It told a very gripping true to life story of how life gets in the way of relationships but also makes the reader realise how important the truth actually is. Loved Aria and Phoenix’s story. At times I felt like I wanted to give Phoenix a kick in the ass although when the story unfolded it showed what he had done what he did to actually protect Aria. The chemistry between these two was off the wall scorching hot. It was good being introduced als ...more

I was leery about getting this book at 1st but after taking a chance on it, I absolutely LOVED it!!!!!! This book really captivates your senses and draws you into the plot. Cover to cover read in 2 days. There was some back and forth with the timeline but it really helped me to put the overall book into perspective. I'm so glad I took a chance on this book and I'm waiting for the next.

Electric Impulse isn't an average romance. It is sassy, it is sexy, and it is an emotional turmoil.

Aria and Phoenix have the chemistry that burns the pages. There's no denying that. But flame this hot always scars. Aria's and Phoenix's story isn't without a struggle; there are some serious issues that need resolving before they truly can have a chance together. The question is, can those issues even be solved?

Angel Hilson has written billionaire romance, that is true to its genre but at the sam

***I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review*** I truly enjoyed this book. Aria, her sister Mia and their best friend since childhood, Penelope are like the three musketeers. Aria being the eldest is oft times the one that leads the girls. She is graduating from college soon and works at a very high-class nightclub. She has been dating Sebastian who also attends the same school. He has invited her to meet his parents. His father is friendly enough, but his mother thinks Ari is not goo ...more

If I had to pick three words to describe Electric Impulse: Love, Life & Sex by Angel Hilson, those words would be “very tastefully done.” I like this novel. I like the writing. I like the choices. I like the characters. I like the story. Not everyone can pull off writing a book like this. I found it totally modern with just the right touch of references from the past and nods to today’s culture. This is an American novel. If you tried to tell this story but set it in Europe or Canada, it wou ...more

I really enjoyed this book about Aria and Phoenix even though I didn’t care for the back and forth in the timeline. This aurthor has given us some amazing characters to want to get to know. Aria thought she was going to be getting engaged to Sebastian, but he totally humiliated her at the family reunion instead. This book will have you laughing in parts and then smiling in parts. Aria and Phoenix definitely have some chemistry and I will read the next book to see what happens. I have to say, I d ...more

Really, the worst! Severe daddy issues!!!

So, this is my first time reading this author and I do not know yet if I will again; every thing was wrong with this story!!!
I must say that the cover and the summary as well as the beginning was perfect, inviting, solid, promising, and I couldn't wait to start reading for good. I enjoyed and appreciated how MS.Hilson did it by having Aria repeat the story from months on how everything had started between her and Phoenix. I must say that this was probably

This is a good story. I enjoyed the dialogue and interaction between the characters. Hilson also does a great job of word painting to describe the settings and love scenes. Although I appreciate Aria’s “Come to Jesus” moment in chapter 56, I would have liked to have seen more strength and less vulnerability in a main, female, African American character. Also, the number of spelling and grammatical errors was distracting.

Overall, it’s a good book that kept my interest.

All over the place

This story was all over, I got confused on the chapter titles and the back and forth. Story is about a week chick named Aria who's boyfriend dumps her in front of his family because he thinks he saw get cheating. Aria starts crushing on Phoenix and it goes from there. Not good at all

This was my first book by this author. It was an okay read. I keep waiting for things to kind of pick up but they didn't. The flashbacks made it a little difficult for me to follow. But the story was very interesting. I will read more from this author.
Connie
Too many flashbacks! The going back and forth only made the story that much more confusing. I know Aria suffered from "daddy-abandonment " issues, but she allowed Phoenix to get away with too much for too long. He is a deceitful, dishonest cheat. Also too many grammatical errors.
Patricia A. Atterberry
Just Alright

Ari was too gullible. Cannot do multiple books. Series just don't do it for me. I will read Angel Hilsons novels as long as it is a single story. But also more than 200 pages.
