Bloodthirsty demons. Deadly, ever-shifting hellscapes. Brutal psychological torments. And that’s just day one.

When I ripped out my enemy’s soul and banished him to the Shadowrealm, I knew I’d condemned myself to the same fate, cursing my soul to eternal imprisonment while my body rotted away on earth.

No one ever said anything about my body coming along for the ride. Physical manifestation? It’s supposed to be impossible in the Shadowrealm.

So is escaping.

But I’ve never been one to comply with the natural order, and I’m not about to start now. Not when Asher and the witches are still trapped. Not when Emilio is making dangerous enemies in Raven’s Cape. And not when Jonathan is still hunting me, both of us battling for survival in this inhospitable realm.

Determined to help break me out, Ronan and Darius enlist the help of an unlikely ally and quickly track me down. But despite our seductive reunion, we all know that deals with the devil rarely come without consequences.

Especially when that devil already owns Ronan’s soul… And holds the contract to mine.

Sarah Piper is a witchy, Tarot-card-slinging paranormal romance and urban fantasy author. Through her signature brew of dark magic, heart-pounding suspense, and steamy romance, Sarah promises a sexy, supernatural escape into a world where the magic is real, the monsters are sinfully hot, and the witches always get their magically-ever-afters.

Readers have dubbed her work “super sexy,” “imaginative and original,” “off-the-walls good,” and “delightfully wicked in the best ways,” a quote Sarah hopes will appear on her tombstone.

Originally from New York, Sarah now makes her home in northern Colorado with her husband (though that changes frequently) (the location, not the husband), where she spends her days sleeping like a vampire and her nights writing books, casting spells, gazing at the moon, playing with her ever-expanding collection of Tarot cards, binge-watching Supernatural (Team Dean!), and obsessing over the best way to brew a cup of tea.

Bailed at 40%

Honestly, I probably should have bailed at the end of the last book. FMC made the dumbest fucking decision I could even imagine, and it ruined her character. This book is just a shitshow mess trying to deal with her insanely stupid action, and I just got more and more frustrated until I finally bailed.

Look. Deciding to banish his soul to the Shadowlands and condemn herself was stupid, overdramatic TSTL bullshit. Just kill him. Case closed. I kept waiting for some big reason why she needed to do this, and there never was one. She could have just killed him and then helped Asher free everyone, rather than causing this cascading chain of insanity that looks like will have consequences through all the remaining books in the series, and I just can't even. It made me despise her because she was so goddamn stupid.

Gray is trapped in the Shadowrealm with Jonathan and must find her way out. There are all kinds of nasty surprises there trying to kill her, including the monster Jonathan has become. Meanwhile back on Earth, Asher is trying to free the witches from captivity, Emilio is doing the cop-thing and trying to find the compound and who is behind the kidnappings, etc., and Ronan and Darius attempt to go through hell to get to the Shadowrealm to retrieve Gray.

I was a little bored (just a little) as Gray began to navigate through the Shadowrealm. She has to endure some hostile landscapes and face some fears, blah, blah, blah. It's only when Ronan and Darius figure out a way to get to her that things get interesting (and smutty). Emilio's plotline progresses a little as he finds out more in his investigation, but Asher's plotline is stagnant. He didn't even seem to be on the same timeline as the rest of the book, which was weird. Yet, in the end, I still liked this book and the cliffhanger has me clamoring for more.

I kind of felt there was just a lot of filler in this one. There just was not much in the way of forward plot movement and I just wanted the book to get on with things. I'm not sure I'll continue on to the next book, at this point I'm just kind of feeling meh about it all.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Gray has a huge fight on her hands as she finds herself trapped in the Shadow Realm after the events of book two. Some intriguing yet dangerous things happen as she tries to stay alive and get back to her guys. They are also looking for her with glimpses from their perspective to keep us up to date. I have to say there is some awesome world building wrapped around some fascinating surprises. By the end I was totally hooked with the cliff hanger making me want the next book now even if I do have to wait. Great for fans of the genre. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

Wowie! This one ended in a bang!

There’s a lot that can be said about this one. I’ve seen a lot of criticisms about Gray banishing Jonathon and therefore herself to the Shadowrealm and honestly? It’s all incredibly valid. Like, where was the need? Girlie could have just stabbed him and had it over with. Instead, she caused issues for everyone, herself especially and for what? Just to “kill” him once he was there. What was the point?

Despite this, while the start of this was pretty weak, it did get better and better and I found myself having a really good time later on. Gray and Liam finally have a lil moment moment so I was pleased.

The ending of this one definitely shows that the next is gonna be chaotic. Ronan made some sort of deal with Sebastian that will keep him from her? And Liam is hiding something important that will prevent them from truly loving one another? Darius has just lost him memories…however will they cope?

Either way, I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next.

Holy crackers

Talk about a cliffhanger! Things are even more dire than they were at the beginning of book 1. It’s like 2 steps forward, three steps back. Relationships progress and some even get second chances, but then the rug is pulled out. Fast paced, edge of your seat, great read.

3.5 FUN!

Yup, luckily, the series is getting good. But prepare for a big cliffhanger (wouldn't recommend reading this book without having the next one).

I have some many questions that I need answered and I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book. A damn good read but it was over too quickly (mostly because I need to know what happens).

I volunteered to receive this ARC in exchange for a review.

I’m not happy with that ending. I’m especially upset about the vamp. He’s my favorite H/love interest. Cliffhanger ending.

This book counts towards my RHR Bingo book challenge: Haram of Mystical Protectors

5 stars for Demon Sworn by Sarah Piper. This is book three in The Witch’s Rebels series. Sarah Piper is killing me emotionally with this series. I can not put it down. Oh, and can I just say how awesome these covers are. This book picks up right where book two left us. (thankfully right) Gray is stuck in the Shadow Realm fighting to survive. She wants to get back to her guys and to help save everyone. The perspectives in this boo switch between everyone so we are not left out of what is going on. I enjoyed that about this book. I will say there is another doozy of a cliffhanger at the end so be prepared.

After a whirlwind of a week I finally finished this book..

THAT
FUCKING
ENDING..

Firstly, I'd like to say I spent a good half of the book trying to remember what this series is about and whether I like it.

I then remembered that I do like it, and what the problem is.

Second, I hated that fucking ending.
WHO DOES THAT.

That recap was hella short. Like I said, it took me a minute to remember what the heck was going on.

90% of this book is in the shadowrealm, and I really feel like this whole book was one GIANT BUFFER because nothing of relative importance happened.

So to recap: nothing exciting, plot complicates, some sex, AND THEN A CLIFFHANGER.
typical.

Also, poor Emilio. All the guys are over here parting Gray's legs and filling her with wild memories of their kisses (Including Liam!!! GUSH. I love Liam) AND THE ONLY THING SHE CREDITS EMILIO FOR ARE HIS BROWNIES.
hahahaha. I am dying. Poor guy is baking his way to be the least relevant member of the harem.

I just don't have much to say. A lot of RH series end up having buffer books that aren't very thrilling and this one was this series's buffer.
Not to mention, I am really hating that ending.

TWO STARS BUT I BETTER SEE BOOK FOUR COMING OUT SOON.

Demon Sworn was absolutely amazing. I really enjoy a good UF read and combine that with Rh and bam, I am in heaven. ow plot wise I feel like at the end of the book we are not really further along on the story but there is plenty of things going on. There are multiple things happening, but that ending is a cliffhanger. I feel like this whole story was setting up for book 4. This is a great series, and to understand everything I would recommend to read the series in order.

Magic, mystery, love, and so much more!

This third installment follows Gray deep into the Shadow Realm and finds her men spread out and fighting to get to her and fulfill their mission. Oh, there is so much angst and torment in this book, I was on the edge of my sanity throughout. It's full of action, new intrigue, and revelations that are shocking and far reaching! Everytime it appears Gray and her guys are closer to redemption and closure, a new obstacle is thrust in their way! It's a battle throughout the book! Of course, Gray doesn't take anything lying down and she fights and pushes back against anything standing in her path! I love her fortitude, her belief, and how she just continues to grow as a person, as do her relationships. They are all so connected and present with each other, even if they are physically apart, their hearts are beautifully intertwined. She also has some really lovely, poignant, and truly sexy times too, which makes the separations and hardships all the more terrible. They jump from one fire to another. The author beautifully paints the landscapes they must walk, and the creations of her imagination leap off the pages! There is still so much to uncover in this world, and so much more work ahead. Of course it ends with a bang, but it's just more mystery and adventure to uncover in the next book. I'm sad to wait once more, but these characters and this world are so worth the torment. I cannot wait to read more, and I hope for a well deserved happy ending for our fearless crew! I love these guys!

What a ride.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Honestly, this series just keeps getting better and better, I’m once again on the edge of my seat after finishing! Sarah Piper has an incredible talent to keep us readers guessing, invested and grasping at straws to know what else could possibly get in the way of Gray and her guys’ finding some peace and happiness, I’m in awe!

I absolutely love that this series is multi POV and it is totally needed for the different events and trouble that Gray and her guys are coming across. It helps us get totally emerged as one minute we’re with Emilio back in the Cape dealing with the Council and the bigger problem that’s coming, then we’re back with Asher and his rescue mission for the kidnapped Witches and other supernaturals, then of course we’re with Gray, Ronan, Darius and Liam as they battle through the Shadowrealm to find a way back home.

Once again we get more of the guys back story throughout this book, especially from Darius and Emilio and I’m eager to find out more. I am so intrigued with Liam and what he tried to tell Gray, what does he hope to beg for her forgiveness for? Then there’s Ronan and whatever deal he made with Sebastian, my heart is already breaking at the thought of it.

Once again that ending.. oh my just when we thought Gray was getting a bit of a break, that happened. My heart absolutely broke for her for what she went through during the Shadowrealm, especially the repeated torture of the visions of her guys, friends and family being cruelly taken.

Of to download the next book immediately!

Another great instalment in The Witch's Rebels series.

While we have another mini-storyline within Demon Sworn , we still have the overall story for the fight for balance between Witches, Hunters, and other Supernaturals. Here we have deceit, heart-break, destruction, new alliances, more questions than answers, and love. So much love. There are some steamy scenes in this book, which really help to perk the general gloomy feeling back up.

Again, we have the multiple POVs which help us to see things that happen in the background of the story we otherwise wouldn't get to see. There is growth in Gray's character, as she truly has to fight her way through this tale. We get to see some new sides to our five main guys, with some new emotions being shown.

However, I was left with some massive questions that I cannot for the life of me work out - which means I'm now having to hang on for Blood Cursed. I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves a good dose of supernatural fighting mixed with some RH loving, and just like Gray we'll have you jumping"into the blazing light. Straight into hell."

**I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author for review consideration.**

Loved it

Another great addition to an awesome series. There is so much going on in the supernatural world yet we still are fitting the puzzle pieces together to figure out what exactly is going on. The world building and plot line is creative and fun to read. The characters are all well developed and I enjoy reading the differing points of views of Gray and her men.
Liam is my favorite so far but I love all of her men. Gray is still a stubborn yet dedicated witch that we read from the start of this series, who is still trying to find her new place in this world while bettering herself and her skills. She sacrificed herself thinking she was saving the kidnapped witches, her men, and the rest of the supernatural world. This book follows her journey in the Shadow realm and her attempt to survive and return to her men while her men do whatever they can to foil the experiments on supernaturals and save Gray.
Decent amount of steam in this book that doesn’t overshadow the overall plot line. Gray is realizing how running away and avoiding love hasn’t been doing her any favors. She is now determined to allow herself to love those who have been placed in her life. Overall all, a great book and a fantastic series!

I love the crap out of these books. The world and plot are fascinating, the characters are great, and it's very well written. The worst part is how short they are, the cliffhangers, and the waiting! Luckily they come out fast but in the age of instant gratification (Netflix), I'm dying.

Now I will rant...

Made it to book 3 and instead of heroine leveling up her skills, she’s only leveling up her stupidity.

Why did she choose to banish John to the shadow realm at the cost of herself instead of just killing him? Asher was an able bodied demon so if she didn’t have the stomach, he certainly could have.

Then I was like ok, well, now that she’s in the shadow realm and will have to fight for survival she’ll finally learn how to fend for herself! But no. Death/Liam saves her, tells her how the realm works and leaves. The first thing she does when the rain stops is bolt out of the cave without even checking her surroundings, where we the readers are treated to a full chapter of her confusion and inability to help herself. So she spends several days curled up in the fetal position and crying 👌

Ok, maybe now after she’s faced her “fears” she’ll level up! But no. She’s on a beach resort with Death/Liam sipping margaritas and flirting while waiting for Darius and Re to come save her from her own stupidity.

This is a rant now because I’m so annoyed I wasted my time getting this far with a main character who can’t do basic math. Fuck this book.

Idk, after literally the absolute stupidest move in the history of the universe, Gray has landed in a shit storm where the dominoes just won’t stop...& all I can think about is how she did this to her own damn self. She could have quite literally chosen ANYTHING else to rid them of Jonathan!!! Why did she choose the one option that fucked them all? I just don’t understand any of her reasoning.
Alright, in fairness half her fault. If dumb & dumber hadn’t tried to treat her as a damsel in distress- she could have found her own way out & then they’d only have half the problems.

Not to mention, I HATE over-arching villains or doom plots. Like, you kill one villain only to find out he was the tip of the iceberg? That’s fine! So long as you killed the first one, you can move on, but when your problems keep mounting without clearing ANY of them off the board? Shit drives me nuts! You can’t win a war with a battle of all fronts!!

At this point it just becomes bad writing.
I mean obviously ima finish, but the series keeps deteriorating.

Great series!!

I started this series just a week ago..if that long and just finished it. It was really good!! I had never read any of Sarah Piper's books until this series and trust me I will be reading all of hers from now on!! If you love cool sexy vampires, brooding demons and soulful wolves as well as determined witches then this iui s definitely the series for you! Gray is a young witch who lost her mother to witch hunters when she was a teenager. She has since turned her back on her magic but fate has other plans and with the help of her"rebels" she starts to fight back to save the witches in the world as well as everyone else. I highly recommend this series!! I cant wait til the next book comes out! Enjoy!!!

I usually find that series start to dwindle the further we get into them, especially ones written by relatively indie authors. However, I still felt this book was pretty strong. Spoilers, so beware.

The one thing I didn't enjoy about this book was the fact that Gray was mostly away from her men. She was stuck in the shadowrealm for the majority of the book, and while the action and drama in the shadowrealm was interesting, I really read for the relationship she has with her guys. We did finally get some Death AKA Liam on Gray action, which had been building up. Poor Emilio still has blue balls and now is dealing with his bitch of a sister. The cliffhanger is pretty good - they have to go through the hell portal to escape the shadowrealm because they're under attack, and in the process Darius loses his memory and Gray is lost somewhere in hell. Definitely looking forward to reading the next one!

The series that just keeps on giving!

Gray has ripped Jonathan’s soul right out of his body not caring that she has now condemned her own soul. However when she ends up in the shadow realm, she is very much solid and not just ethereal. I will say so far this one was by far my favorite. Piper’s ability to create worlds that can intimidate and bring nightmares to life is astounding. Gray has a whole new batch of “demons” to face and forces her to deal with her pain, loss, and worst nightmares coming to life. While Gray is fighting her way out of her own realm, the guys are trying to find ways in and it costs Ronan more than he thought. Again, ending leaves you satisfied just enough to beg for more.

Gray’s adventures are the best

Oh man! That cliffhanger is a major killer. I am so thankful I am reading this series as it’s complete.

This book was crazy and mind blowing. Gray ends up in the shadow realm after stealing Johnathans soul. She has her body and her soul. She has to trek across this realm that is constantly changing and messing with her mind. She has to fight Johnathan and other beings determined to end her. She was a total boss in this book. She had to make it mostly on her own and develop survival instincts she didn’t have before.

I would recommend reading this book. This series has been an amazing adventure so far and I cannot wait to finish the series to see how it all ends!

Just keeps getting better

I was a little nervous about this book. I am not really find it books that take the MC away from her guys but I actually didn't mind this time. Getting trapped in the Shadowlands made Grey a stronger person ready to open her heart. She also got to know Liam aka Death on a more intimate level. However, the last couple of chapters made me nervous as hell about where this story is going. I just really hope I am wrong about the possibility of a Liam betrayal because my heart will be broken. I am already crushed about Daruis and the mind wipe! Hurry up book 4! I want to know about Asher and the witches and if Grey will ever make it home!

Action Packed!

From start to finished Demon Sworn is action packed. This Paranormal RH picks up from where it left off and we discover where Gray ended up. But it’s not all sunshine for her, she has many trials and tribulations she must face and for the most part by herself. In the mean time the guys are trying to locate the kidnapped witches, Ash and Gray with the help on Raven Capes PD( and Emilio’s sister). What could go wrong? So much corruption and conspiracies are uncovered and we will have to wait for the sequel to find out more especially since we are left with a cliffhanger!!! OMG so good!

I was actually kinda getting into the story. For about 99% of the book I was sure I was going to rate it 3-3.5 stars because I enjoyed how much Darius and Liam we get in this book, but then the last 10 or so pages happened and I just wanted to bash my head against the wall. I'm pretty glad the next book isn't out yet because I don't know if I even want to read it. Sadly those last few pages makes me dislike the book enough to bump it back down to two stars.
