I received a copy of this book from booksirens in exchange for an honest review.
First of all I judged a book by its title and cover....I know, I know... but I'm like 12 years old and a boy mom so of course a book about cow farts and sheep burps peaked my interest......
Every chapter of this book had a little picture of an animal farting... yes... farting... I giggled at every chapter and I'm sure any child reading this book will be in love.... because I loved it....
This book was about a group of childhood boys who are trying to uncover who is stealing the cows from his friends farm. The main character is Jackson and he has a little brother and his mother is dating a butcher named Boris.
The boys do a steak out at the farm and catch the bad guys in the act of stealing the cows and almost get hurt. They did hear where they are hiding the cows and have to convinced their parents to be ungrounded to check it out.
Little did these boys know that they were about to uncover a plot to take over the world through methane.... yes... methane..... and by the title of the book you discovered how they are getting the methane......
Will the boys save the cows and the world? will Jackson find out what Boris the boyfriend's secret is?
Must read to find out!
I could not be more excited to read the next book.
A fun read that any child would enjoy. A must in all school libraries!
An entertaining story about a group of young teenagers who uncover a dastardly plot when they attempt to prevent some cows being stolen.
Well written, though as an adult I do have questions about the feasibility of one or two points. A few typos have snuck in, but not enough to detract from the story. It did feel as though it was cut off slightly before the end, but as this is episode 1 of an ongoing story, that is only to be expected. The main plot points were tied up, though I found it a little lacking in details.
Overall, this book very pleasantly whiled away a couple of hours. I think I would have really enjoyed it when I was 10 or so.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
